how many do you think will make the short journey to the prostar stadium? i would like to think we could take about 500 fans but that seems unrealistic for a pre seaon friendly. wheres everyone drinking before the game

I noticed earlier that Shrewsbury have announced a friendly at home to Blackpool on Friday....seems a bit strange?!

Two of us going - another ground to tick off as I don't see us playing there again in the near future.

I'll be there since I live in Shrewsbury!!
As regards pubs beforehand, the ground is way out of town and so a few in the centre before setting off to New Meadow is advised.
Personal choice but I'd recommend Nags Head good beer and character Crown, Abbey Foregate sound locals pub, Loggerheads small, quiet Shrewsbury Hotel, open early, weatherspoons Hole in the Wall open early, cheaper than weatherspoons!! Yorkshire House full of druggies but great jukebox Admiral Benbow good beer and usually fit barmaids 3 fishes best beer in town but very stiff
Generall the pubs round the station are crap.....probably best to head for Weatherspoons (Shrewsbury Hotel) as a start.
See you saturday

it would serve the money-grabbing plums right if no Stokies turned up.
£15 for a friendly? The fraud squad should be called in.

remember this fixture is all ticket for stokies! and you need your id card! It doesn't mention needing an ID card on the official site, unless I missed it!

I bought 4 tickets and wasn't asked if we had ID cards, 3 of us have anyway and we are taking another family member along, hope it will be OK.
