I will look out for you and the flag if you're still there! I will be wearing my Stoke baseball cap with large crest on the front, I would love a wave and cheer from any Stokies on route, and perhaps a 'get your ass moving to Wembley!' ;D I honestly don't know whether I will get to Wembley after the marathon, but I have to give it all I've got, hopefully I will be there before half time. I have planned the route from the finish and going down on Thursday to check it out. Will be gutted if it doesn't work out.

8 mile run seemed very easy today (as it should I suppose) despite the warmer weather, hoping it is much cooler again by next weekend though. Had so much more Sunday left after running than I have for weeks and weeks! :-)
I have been looking at tube routes to Wembley from the finish, Green Park underground near the finish has tube trains running every 3 to 4 minutes to Wembley Park, the journey time is 26 mins. I don't know how long a taxi would take as I am guessing traffic will be bad on the day, looking at google maps it is nearly 10 miles.

Hopefully the physio can work some magic. If you have to slow down a bit you will probably still beat me, and I am not giving up on getting to Wembley, so you will get there too! Best of luck. When I know what 'pen' I'm in I will let you know, hopefully see you at the start.

Northwich, Fingers crossed for you, I hope you can make it. There are people in my running club with injuries who are just hoping to be ok on the day and having to re-adjust their time goals.
Did you get your Wembley ticket ok?

Thanks Sally for starting and pinning this. Both really good charities to run for and raising loads of money will make the aching legs worthwhile.
The helpforheroes link needs attention I think.

Getting excited and a bit nervous now. How did you get on at physio? hope it's good news. :-)
I am going down to the expo on the Thursday before as it's Easter holiday and I got cheap train tickets, hopefully a nice day in London before the madness of the weekend. Got my Wembley ticket so will be running with it hoping to get there in time.

I would love a download that I could put on my MP3, it will spur me on those last few miles of the marathon so I might get to Wembley that bit quicker! If anyone knows how, let us know, thanks.

Northwich I hope it gets better soon, Ice and rest a couple of days and see how it goes I guess. At least most of the really long runs are behind you now so hopefully you can concentrate on getting that leg better. I did my last 20 miler this morning before starting to cut back a little, legs still aching now!

The vest looks great Northwich, I will look out for you through the crowds at the start. What time do you think is a good time to get to the start on the day? I am staying in London the night before so starting to look at trains etc now to get to the start on the day.

we need to get a group photo or a group taxi after. I'm starting in the blue section, about the 4 hour part, will have a help the heroes running vest on, hopefully a stoke badge on it, I will be noticed by the words 'Stoke City FC' tattoed on my left upper arm ;D and number 26,854 Finish at 2, 30 minutes to rehydrate and stretch, 15 minutes to get changed and a quick taxi to wembley over a 'light' discussion yesterday evening, my lad suggested to the wife and daughter that they can get the train home if they don't want to go to Wembley - he's got a lot to learn I am in the Blue start too, number 8610, should be starting at about the 4hr 30 bit. Will be wearing stoke baseball cap and Donna Louise vest (which is mostly white). Did my first ever 20 mile training run this morning, well just over the 20 by the time I got home. Hoping to finish the Marathon before 3pm and then on to Wembley

You will be alright Northwich with a 4pm kick off, a bit worried about me getting there in time though, I don't think I can get much faster in just 4 weeks!

My pack arrived too, and my charity running vest with my name on it, so it all seems a lot more real now. Just worried about whether we get the Saturday or Sunday match...

I am slower than you, that's for sure, I did it 2.16, but it was a hilly one. 2.48 for 20 miles is great, you could come in well under 4 hours.
I am only up to 16 miles yet, should be 18 miles this weekend and 20 after that. I only started running when TP did the London Marathon, he kinda inspired me to start, which is why I chose the same cause.

That's a great idea, I am sure we would all like to raise as much money for these charities as we can. It makes all the effort worthwhile. Fc

Hiya, I am running London too. I am doing it for Donna Louise.
How did your 20 miler go Northwich? I did a half yesterday, I managed to knock 16 minutes off my PB so the marathon training must be working. :-) Fc

I'm running the London Marathon on the 17th April for the Donna Louise Trust. If we do get through to the semi finals and it ends up being on the 17th I will have to run a lot quicker than planned to have any hope of getting there on time - I will be the one in the foil blanket ;-)

I've got in. Thinking of running it in my stoke shirt, and collecting sponsors for Donna Louise. My 2nd attempt at getting in and it will be my first marathon
