Sadly not many of the loanees will be here next season. Maybe Sterling Soton and B'mouth both look like they will be relegated. So I am sure their coaches will be monitoring how Smallbone and Pearson ae performing and the answer is very well. Soton will likely lose Ward-Prowse so Smallbone will be seen as the replacement. More chance with Pearson, but it's obvious he will shine at this level. Hope I am wrong as they are high clas players.

We could do okay, and still not pick up any points from those three. But, fortunately, the run-in now will probably just determine whereabouts in mid-table we finish, and if we can get our best Championship finish since relegation. That said, Blackburn do appear very, very lucky to be as high as they are. www.infogol.net/en/leagues/english-football-league-championship-table-2022-23/439Amazingly, based on the xg stuff, we should be fighting for the play-offs (8th), and they should be battling relegation (20th) Blackburn appear to have gone all binary (nowhere near a Tony Pulis binary Season) with their last 6 results and half their games this season have been binary scores with lots of 1-0 wins....so expect a goal fest

I am not a fan of Parker but he is an OK manager at Champs level and won't be out of a job for long. expect one of the relegated teams to appoint him next season. As for the Wilder appointment, seems an odd one and not sure he will enjoy operating under the Watford model. Expect him to be replaced start of next season.

I don't get the annoyance with Niges mistakes, it's always been part of his charm. Let's not forget he is just about the only person in football who calls the kit items correctly...It is stockings not socks! Where would players put shin pads if they were wearing little socks? He will be missed when he goes.

The other confusion I have with the North East vocab is why they always refer to themselves as an individual as 'us' rather than I or me. Maybe they all have multiple personality disorder, it's very odd.

Mowbray is an ok champs manager thats all. I can't believe he still spouts that shit phrase 'play the right way' it's so irritating suggesting his brand of football is the 'right way'. It ain't sunshine there are lots of ways to play the game. Whenever we were looking for a new manager, I half expected Mowbray to turn up, it's the sort of safe shite appointment the owners were likely to make, thanks christ they didn't.

I think marginally yes. On the plus side our key players, Tymon Baker Powell Campbell and Brown have all struggled under AN but performed well under MON. We probably would have scored more, giving us a better chance of winning more games. On the minus side he was losing the plot and running out of ideas and we may have shipped a few more goals. So not a lot of difference, which only underlines what little positive impact AN has had on the team and results. It doesn't bode well for the future.

A big worry for me is that there isn't a single player who is in any kind of form under this manager. I can't remember, other than Laurent against Reading, any player putting in moe than a 6/10 performance. You have to wonder why? Powell, Tymon, Campbell, Brown and Baker (that's almost half a side) all big performers for MON all look unrecognisable, usless and lost under AN. You have to wonder why?

Don't often listen to BBC 5 but listening to the monday night club talking about Nathan Jones. some of the comments...
Is he believable? He's a bluffer His rant was gibbering nonsense and I woud sack him now He's too emotional and doesn't understand the role of manager Too insecure trying to justify himself. Managing elite teams it's not just about how good a coach you are it's also how you manage the pressure. Already lost the fans.

Well it does seem like we have got it right with the 'DNA'/character assessment. Whether or not we have made the right judgement on the fitness issue remains to be seen. I am sure he is quality and if we get 10 games out of him he is likely to be a short term asset and a decent short term loan before he returns to the premier league. If he doesn't stay fit then it was a costly desperate signing and will reflect badly on the 'recruitment' team.

Not only are we behind Birmingham, with foreign owners who are absent from the wheel. We're now 7 points behind play off chasing Hull, who are owned by the Turkish version of Simon Cowell. I wonder if John Boy ever wonders where it all went wrong? Add Reading to the list who’ve been under a transfer embargo for over a year and have Paul Ince as manager. It is quite baffling how poorly we are doing in this league and being outperformed by the above clubs and others with poor investment and bang average managers should be an embarrassment to Coates and how he has guided SCFC since the sacking of Hughes. Poor choices of managers and awful player recruitment has been a consistent theme. If we avoid relegation, the summer is the ideal time for a shake up and restructuring in the board room and manager/coaches before we throw another 20m at player recruitment and make no progress.

Our decline has been a bit of a headscratcher to be sure. But his comments are nonsense... Rich owners who totally back their manager. And rightly or wrongly give him a pretty free rein. Facilities at the Mich are exceptional The Academy is doing ok with some young talent coming through A mostly passionate fan base. Appear to be well manages financially with FFP posing a challenge So what's the problem? It has to be the quality of our recruitment team and process which keep on delivering poor options and have done for many years. The manager tells the board and recruitment team what he needs and they seem to continually come up with unimaginative dross quite often their strategy is simply looking down the available list or going back to players who the incumbent manager knows.

You can't blame Pep for recalling him. Neil hasn't improved him one bit so maybe another coach will improve him. In fact Neil hasn't improved any player since he arrived. Our standout players under O'Neil, Baker Tymon Brown Campbell and Powell have all looked a shadow of their former selves. It's pretty worrying.

Yet another dour dull and joyless performance. Very much in the image of an unlikeable manager. He's a bang average champs manager who hasn't improved a single player since he got here. He has enough to keep us up. So if I was the board I wouldn't allow him to bring in his players with a possibility that his recruitment is shite. wait till the end of the season and change the manager who then has a summer window and we start again. It's likely to be another wasted season with no progress.

The article is spot on it is absolutely awful. Mind you anything Fox put out usually is. It says a lot when Maurice Edu is star of the show. Thankfully I don't watch it very often thanks to my VPN. Has maurice managed to give a mention for his real first love...Stoke City?

The video in that could well have been shot in Delhi or Mumbai Not sure of their chant of 'Southgate is our super coach' 'Sterling is our superstar' 'Pickford is our super keeper' Will it get any traction? I will listen out for it during England games. Could it work at SCFC? 'Alex Neil is our super coach' 'Browney is our superstar' 'Bursik is our super keeper' Give it a go lads

AN is an average Championship manager no better than Jones or Rowett. I guess therefore he is an ok fit for a club who are likely to be a lower half championship club for the foreseeable future. That our premiership legacy has rapidly disappeared lies squarely with the owners and their inability to invoke serious change. As with most managers the standard of recruitment will likely determine their fate. Worringly our recruitment process has not been fit for purpose for some time. It's hard to identify any major successes in recruitment now for 5 years which is shockingly bad. Will AN buck this trend? His newly appointed poodle from his Norwich days? Well one of the major reasons for AN's sacking at Norwich was his poor recruitment. It doesn't bode well.

The names Ok. But in todays modern vernacular where every name seems to be shortened, most people will call it Ric's Bar. so why not just do that. I have an in law in the UK who was christened Stephen. He is know referred to as Ste ??!! Can it get any shorter?
