I must say I’m surprised at how well Liam Rosenior is doing at Hull after his short spell at Derby as manager

Another club that looked in absolute disarray turned around after a managerial change.
Only 2 losses in 12, and are now looking up to the play-off hunt.

I want to know what are they going to do about the loans
7 loans but only 5 in the squad, so if Pearson is fit he plays surely, meaning probably Hoever misses out, unless someone, Stirling likely signs
Ditch the back 3, play a back 4, and either 442, 433 or 4231

We’ve taken a huge gamble in selling Souttar and not having a replacement ready to immediately slot in. When I look at the options in defence, it really is pitiful. Add the loan situation to the mix and the options up front, then it really is a mess.
Hull is a must win. Simple as that. If we slip into that bottom three, then I really don’t believe this squad has the bottle, confidence and fight to get out of it.
We’ve backed ourselves into a corner here.

I'd think Sterling as he's out of contract anyway and maybe Celina It very much feels like let's try and limp to the end of the season then give it a good go next season

Another club that looked in absolute disarray turned around after a managerial change. Only 2 losses in 12, and are now looking up to the play-off hunt. Not only are we behind Birmingham, with foreign owners who are absent from the wheel. We're now 7 points behind play off chasing Hull, who are owned by the Turkish version of Simon Cowell. I wonder if John Boy ever wonders where it all went wrong?

We really are doing unbelievably badly. Not just vs. our collective expectation but, as above, against nearly all - if not all - the certified basket case clubs that were *guaranteed* to go down or at least be in the relegation mix.

Seems like they are bringing a few It’s the first game where the club are paying for travel and they anticipate a sell out which should make it the highest crowd of the season with the season ticket initiative we have. I work with a few Hull fans and the feel good factor is well and truly back since the new manager arrived…..

Their turnaround in form/new manager bounce just rams home that there is something fundamentally fucked up behind the scenes at our football club.

And this is the last summer they'd get that for him. They'd probably be reluctant to see him walk away for nothing having seen him come through the ranks there from a kid and at one point being highly-rated. Probably wouldn't be a massive sum, but it'd be something if he left this summer. Guesswork, but his next deal could be on less money in the Champ than even his current Chelsea prospect deal. He'd still be a gamble for anyone taking him long-term due to injuries and the fact he hasn't really proven himself - even at 23. But he does seem to have no chance at all of any kind of career there, so it's possible they might just let him walk, rather than go thorough the charade of offering him new terms. No idea who else they'd even consider making permanent. Pearson and Celina seem the most likely, but it doesn't seem on the agenda with either or it already would have happened, certainly with Pearson

My guess is not a chance, so that again begs the question.... What on earth is so broken behind the scenes at our football club?

But I don’t disagree ultimately unless we get out shit together long term with regards scouting/recruitment/succession planning we’ll be treading water at best……

Same for Huddersfield. It’s why I think we’re deep in the brown stuff. We weakened our squad and our direct relegation rivals strengthened on the whole.

If you look at the run of games they have had recently they have beaten the teams also struggling. So it’s not like they are beating teams who are bang in form. I’m hoping our new signings will benefit from another full weeks training and our crowd get behind them like the Reading game.
