The Cardiff team looks devoid of any attacking quality (Bowler apart). Hopefully we can take the game to then & pick up a win, as it’s massive opportunity.

This boosts our survival hopes. He’s QPRs best player & biggest attacking threat.

He’s tidy on the ball & looks busy, the problem is he offers zero goal threat or creativity.
He was a waste of a loan, should’ve used the loan slot on a winger. The squad is desperate for some pace & creativity.

Walking back to the ground & on praise and grumble, I couldn’t believe the number of people who were saying we played well.
Is this what people think is acceptable and playing well?
We put up a fight & didn't crumble, but we were absolutely toothless and never looked like creating a clear chance. Hopefully we can stumble to a 21st place finish, but I’m genuinely concerned.
We can’t score and have a massive mistake in us at the back pretty much every game.

Nothing to do with a lack of fight or bottle. Just too many of them aren’t good enough, add in the fact that the manager set us up to fail & as soon as we conceed it’s always going to be tough.

2 out of the last 3 games the game was lost at 2pm He’s entirely out of his depth Schumacher is not at fault for this.. we played decent football. Had we not have the absolute fuck up from Hoever, this would have been a well fought 0-0 where we probably deserved more We didn’t play decent football though. We looked much better with the subs, but let’s be honest, I never felt like we were going to get a goal. The starting lineup had no goal threat at all.

It just makes no sense how players can start on Saturday and then be completely out of the squad only a few days later.
It’s all very random and shows little joined up thinking.

Iversen
Hoever Wilmott Rose Tchamadeu
Burger Thompson
Junho Baker Campbell
Mmaee
Obviously unlikely that Mmaee will even be included in the squad, but I’m far from convinced that any other strikers we have are fit for purpose.
We need abit more bite in the middle hence why I’d put Thompson in there.
Then you have to play Baker & Campbell as they are our two biggest goal threats & we look devoid of goal threat.

Quite simply the fans have to try and do their bit and get behind the team.
It’s a massive game & pretty much a must win game (definitely a must not lose game). The players need as much help as possible, as we’ve seen just how hopeless they can be for the vast majority of this season, so as much assistance as possible is needed.
Fingers crossed we can get an early goal, as it will help ease any tension from the players and fans.
I dread to think what the atmosphere will be like if we go a goal or especially 2 goals down.
I was there against Blackburn on Saturday & we were awful, particularly in the first half. The chants from the fans hopefully may have motivated a few of them & they are willing to prove us wrong.

Can we protest about Schumacher’s inverted full back system instead.? Comically he called them “Introverted fullbacks” during the fans forum. God knows what he think it’s achieving, but this isn’t the time to try it, as it’s leaving us completely exposed.

Simplify things, be solid and get players in an around the box capable of a moment that might lead to a goal: Iversen Tchamadeu Rose Wilmot Hoever Baker Burger Thompson Campbell Ennis/Mmaee Bae Jun-ho Have to agree with that. We need to abandon the inverted fullbacks that he’s trying to play. We need to protect the back 4, build some sort of solid foundation & hope that we can nick a goal or two. For all the stick that Campbell gets, he has to play him. Get him on the right wing & see if he can create/score some goals.

Two nill down after 20 minutes and barely broke a sweat to stop it from happening, add that to the absolute garbage that we’ve endured for the past 6 years.
There were lots of negative chants today, but honestly what do you expect?
People’s patience is wearing thin.

Teams don’t survive with the likes of Wilmott, Rose & McNally as their choice of central defenders.
What a shambles.

The penalty was a massive moment & he completely messed it up.
No idea what he was doing, but looked to be smiling at the keeper and kneeling down. Then a very tame attempt just summed it up.
He tries to be too cool when the situation needed someone to step up and put their foot through it.

If he’s willing to get his head down, accept responsibility & fit in with the group then great. As much as some may not rate him, we need him.
Personally I think he’s the best of a bad bunch of strikers we have. Everyone needs to knuckle down, pull in the same direction & make sure we survive.
Then in the summer we can access the situation, but right now he’s a better striker than Campbell, Lowe, Wesley & maybe Ennis (who’s fitness issues are well known).

I rate Schumacher. I rate Schumacher higher than all our mangers since relegation. His honesty, talking and fan communication is spot on. But.... He is making the fatal floor of trying to out football everyone. He doesn't have the players/squad to do this. He is putting players in the wrong positions to cater for attacking football its nonsense. I am a Pulis fan but today, against a team massively inferior to you, I would have loved a dirty, negative lineup where, with the fans we have 90 minutes of shit. Instead, we have gone toe to toe and after a couple of minutes you ould see the outcome was inevitable. We will sleep walk into trouble with a good manager being stubborn. We didn’t try to go toe to toe with them. Our attacking wide men were Gooch and Leris. It was a conservative setup, full of bland & nothing players. I don’t know what his plan was today, but as soon as I saw the lineup I knew it would fail. I’m seriously concerned after this past week & I’d take 21st position if it was offered now.

Regardless of what people think of him, he’s our best striker.
Campbell isn’t a striker.
Wesley isn’t a footballer.
Lowe isn’t ready.
Ennis isn’t capable of playing consistently (judging by his injury record).
Very worrying signs from the manager & his reaction to the questions.

This nonsense has to stop. The fact that we’ve gone through another transfer window without addressing it is negligent.

Some of the decision making this past week from the manager has got me really concerned.
Failure to address a glaring hole at left back, his team selections, Luke Cundle being a guaranteed starter, signing an injury prone player from Blackburn to fire us up the table, Thinking Leris is a winger, thinking Campbell is a lone striker, picking Pearson who’s been a disaster this season.
He really needs to sort it out & quickly, as we are quite clearly in a relegation scrap.

Set up all wrong today.
Playing a left back who has zero defensive awareness in that position (as we saw for their first today & last week on numerous occasions).
We have Burger on his own in central midfield, as Cundle & Pearson just aren’t upto standard. They are both weak and slow.
Leris on the wing who offers nothing at all.
Campbell upfront (who I think has something to offer), but he’s never a line forward.
Just a shambles.

Cundle should be nowhere near the starting 11. Weak and offered absolutely nothing.

That's a very worrying interview. He isn't playing with two bob players that have been dragged up through the leagues from League Two now. He's dealing with players that in parts have experience in Europe, in others are experienced at this level. They need managing and not throwing under the bus in public. Two weeks in a row now. It didn't work last week, what does he think will change this week? Please Steven, don't go down the same road as the others. It didn’t sound like he was throwing anyone under the bus to me. Just pointed out some of the chances that we have to do better with. If he was going to throw them under the bus, he’d have highlighted Thompson & Gooch et al who barely did anything right. Overall I thought it was pretty restrained considering some of the stuff he’d just watched.

Until we get a proper back 4, this will continue to happen time and time again. How many of the starting 4 defenders today are really upto a decent standard? Gooch and Thompson are decent utility players, but neither are quality fullbacks. Rose & Wilmott just look to have an error in them every time the ball goes near them. Saying that I think we’ve been ok as an attack, just not had the luck in front of goal. I can see us getting something from the game. Only 7 teams have a better goals conceded as us. Yet only 4 teams have scored less, The defence isn’t perfect but it’s not a big a problem as people make out, the fact we create many chances and hardly ever score is our downfall. I don’t know how anyone who’s watched us all season can say that our defence is “not a big problem.” We’ve gifted soft goals all season, and just as I’m typing this we’ve left a massive gaping hole in our penalty area for the second.

Please let's sign nobody the two turnips simply cannot be trusted lets just stagger on and whatever the fates hold remove them at 4.45 on the last day or actually now and move on getting set with a proper recruitment function for next summer. In Burger, Junho & Tchamadeu we’ve got three potentially £10million plus players. Surely even the most negative of Stoke fans can see that the process has worked to a point. Johnson & Pearson are obvious Neil picks. Vidigal a cheap gamble who looked to be a gem at the start. Big question marks now whether he’ll make it here now. Stevens looked a cheap backup. Obviously a major issue that we didn’t have a left back & clearly we we’re a CB short too in the summer. Mmaee I think has something, the big problem is that he’s our only striker who looks semi competent & it’s a big ask for him to hit the ground running and play every minute. Wesley was a gamble that has failed miserably. The process obviously hasn’t been perfect, but these things do take time & without doubt we’ll make a profit on these signings which we can reinvest. It’s the model we need, so I don’t get the negativity.

Doughty didn’t get many chances, but on the few occasions he played, I thought he made little impact.
At the time we sold him it seemed good business to recoup what we paid. Fair play to the lad though, as he’s now playing Premier League football and having a good season.
