What type of atmosphere are we expecting after saturdays loss? Some would say better and more supportive given its an important match and key figures like walters ect ask for us to be more supportive rather than negative. Or are we still looking at a potentially toxic atmosphere as some of us are expecting?

People are too apathetic these days for it to get properly vile. There might be a bit of booing then silence.

I think we'll lose 0-2 on Wednesday so based on that I think it'll be quiet at the start, tense and nervy the longer it stays 0-0, then toxic if (or really just a matter of when) we go behind, particularly if it's yet another soft goal. Ricky Martin to get both barrels. Certainly no 0-7 Brum scenes at the end as there will probably only be a couple of thousand still in the stadium.

Probably lucky if there will be 12000 in rhe ground, most just sitting in total silence hoping for it to be over as soon as possible.

I'm going to boo at my TV.
The whole 90 minute treatment, like Wilkinson v Ronaldo.
I'll be knackered.

It's at least the third time we've been at this point already this season. It's a complete and utter circus.

Apathetic and most just waiting for the first mistake or the inevitable QPR goal. The reason it was so aggressive on Saturday was that a lot of fans had been on the ale all day…doesn’t happen so much at home, especially night games as it’s too much of a rush. The players need to start at a very fast tempo and get that all important first goal…if we don’t people will leave in their droves just like against Leicester. The QPR game is a must win game as we won’t get anything against Coventry and there are four games in March where we will get nowt…big game tomorrow…I really believe that lose and any shred of confidence will be shot and we will go down…win and it will help massively.

If it's toxic before kick off we have already lost. We are where we are, the team need support because they can't do it alone. Over the years when you have watched teams that have the fans on their back they rarely put in any sort of performance, whether that be in the prem or wherever, it just doesn't happen. Even the top teams struggle when the fans aren't behind them, call them spineless all you want but this has happened so many times before. I fully expect us to lose with a nervy performance from the team and the manager won't be able to do anything about it. Fans can help win and lose games, it's just the way it is.

If we win..." we are staying up , say we are staying up" ( personally I hate that chant, it's sort of celebrating that we are shit)..
If we lose, or draw, " you're not fit to wear the shirt"...

I’m usually a pessimist but I do think we’ll win on Wednesday.
Not sure why, but I think we will.

Dreading it. On one hand I want to go to support them. On the other I don't want to sit in an arena half full of pissed up vipers.... And please, whoever goes for a piss at halftime, piss down into the trough not straight forward at the wall as I'm not very tall and my face needs a flannel after as its wringing fuckeyed wet after

I'm expecting there to be no atmosphere like most weeks. We will sit there expecting to walk all over QPR.
Then when QPR score we will get angry. Then by the time the third goes in it will be nasty/people will leave.

I actually think most reasonable Stoke supporters will put their concerns and anger to one side and fully back the team, understanding it is the best way to get a positive result which we so need. Hopefully this is what should and will happen.

Apathy kills clubs.

1 can’t believe the earlier posts
I wont be at the game because I live in Australia, however to to put my comments in perspective.
I was at SS fist game against Swnsea, then at Milwall, Watford and Ipswich.
Every year I come to watch 4-6 games
I get up at 2am every Saturday night to watch Stoke play.
I get the feeling by the majority who have responded to this thread they want a bad atmosphere !
I for one want every Stoke supporter to be loud and proud.
Everybody is entitled to their view but my view is simple , I love Stoke City to death !
Come on you Potters !!!!

It will depend very much on the players attitude, managers formation and effort in my mind
If they come out and look like they give a shit, go at QPR, get a goal and the crowd onside, then it will be banging If they start like they did at Blackburn and go behind, it will be toxic
Could be a rollercoaster!
