Picking Lowe as the loan striker with no support is criminal! I must admit I'm already starting to ask questions about our new manager.

As a new striker in a team the bare minimum is to try.
In the first team you are automatically not the best player, things don't come easy, and defenders are as tall , strong and as quick as you.
I will put it on the player ratings thread but Lowe was genuinely 1/10.

Walking back to the ground & on praise and grumble, I couldn’t believe the number of people who were saying we played well.
Is this what people think is acceptable and playing well?
We put up a fight & didn't crumble, but we were absolutely toothless and never looked like creating a clear chance. Hopefully we can stumble to a 21st place finish, but I’m genuinely concerned.
We can’t score and have a massive mistake in us at the back pretty much every game.

Maybe one day the manager might admit to maybe dealing with the Mmaee situation a bit better? I'm convinced he would score his fair share between now and the end of the season, and let's be honest for a minute here - the 'grafters' aren't exactly ripping up trees in front of goal. They're literally choking on their own non negotiatiables.
Alternatively, in the absence of managing people like adults, maybe we might try two of them upfront to try and spin things round a bit?

Bae and Burger must wonder what they are playing with.
They are so far above the rest.
Bar was great when he came on.

Has there been any explanation whats happened to Campbell, Haks and Vidigal?
Appreciate they're hardly world beaters but we're kind of desperate.

I agree to an extent but Mmaee hasn't scored a fair share all season so I don't see how he's going to start scoring now. The squad is just rammed with poor footballers, some with poor attitudes.

There are three strikers in this club. Two have landed themselves in the bomb squad, so what do you do? Play Wilmot as a striker or play a young talent to at least give the opposition something to think about...?

Not knocking the lad but Lowe does seem so far away from the standard.
That said first half he didn’t have a midfielder within 30 yards of him.

As a whole our strikers pool is the worst I've ever seen. I wouldn't risk a 50p bet on any one of them scoring a goal from 12 yards with no keeper in. Try watching them warm up pre game they are shockingly poor that's why they have the biggest nets behind the temp goals I've ever seen otherwise the crowd are in serious danger of injury.

We have at least looked more threatening from set-pieces in the last couple of games.
Just a shame they all fell to Rose today who is beyond hopeless with his head.

How far we have fallen.

5 of our 12 home league goals were scored in August. So since then, we've scored roughly once per month at home. We stink.

I don't even think the properly wank sides approach games like that. We've made this into a relegation battle by approaching games like we are doing. Other than the top 3 there is nobody in this league who needs to be treated like any great side, let alone fucking Coventry!

At the start of the season we needed; 1. a strong, goalscoring runner to lead the line 2. an athletic leader in central defence.
Our new recruitment guru has had 2 windows and spent a lot of money sorting this out. Today we played a young lad up front on his own and some of our expensive acquisitions are no where to be seen.
I suggest we need a different approach to recruitment.

www.stokesentinel.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/stoke-city-home-record-coventry-9107493Stoke’s dire home form This was far from the worst Stoke performance at home this season, players worked hard and they were clapped off at full-time – but the record at the bet365 Stadium absolutely stinks. It’s eight goals in 16 league games since the opening day. To put it into perspective, Southampton have scored 39 from 15 home games in the same period, 13 teams in this division have scored over 20. Millwall is the next worst and they’ve scored almost double (14). Stoke have never scored so few in this many home matches. Even in the 16 home games up to the last day of 1984/85, what has always been considered the season beyond horrors, they scored 10. This is off the charts diabolical. Credit to the supporters who sit through it all, plus the misery of last season, and are still backing the team. One day, runs like this will make success feel all the sweeter. That feels a long, long way away at the moment.
