I can take a loss. What I can't forgive is a lack of fight and a complete lack of bottle from at least 9 of them.
On top of a piss poor performance, we've got a bunch of bottle jobs that have got no bollocks.
We're in massive trouble.

I’m convinced we’re down after that.
We can’t score goals.
We’ve got some tough fixtures ahead where we’ll roll over.
It’s happening.

bizarre.....The most grit we've shown and you're calling them out for that?
poor in terms of creating but there was plenty of fight.

To be honest, I thought they were up for it from the point of the shaky defensive blunder in the first half. Problem is, every one of these players has a serious mistake in them which shows itself every game. Today it was Hoever. Our reaction was ok, seen us bottle much worse.

I would have said the complete opposite.
The determination and fight they showed there was the most encouraging aspect of the day.
The lack of quality in the final third, poor shooting and individual errors is the most worrying thing.

Coventry would have had to come out more and maybe leave space. I think his logic was keep tight for 60/70 then make the positive changes. However buggered that up 🤷

Even aster going behind, we'd won the ball and rather than breaking , large clusters of players just walked forward instead of breaking.

I thought we showed a lot of fight today but just couldn't score. Not sure where the lack of bottle opinion has come from there.

Nothing to do with a lack of fight or bottle. Just too many of them aren’t good enough, add in the fact that the manager set us up to fail & as soon as we conceed it’s always going to be tough.

Not sure about lack of bottle. There was plenty of desire and effort which was all undone by the 3 things that have done us all Season.
Individual Howlers. Can’t Score Can’t Defend (mostly of the time)
And repeat, Ad infinitum……..

I don't think you can accuse them of lack of effort today. We just aren't very good. Once we go behind we very rarely get anything out of a game. Its a Stoke City thing. The last time we came from behind to win at home must have been a very long time ago. I'm thinking Huddersfield at home under MON ?

Confused at this thread, for the first time in a long while I thought we showed real bottle, that was eleven players who showed that they care and gave everything. The fact we keep making goal leading mistakes and can’t finish off our chances is another story.

Coventry are ordinary. In fact that's probably generous. But anyway again, even if you're right it's no less of a worry - even if we play "well" at home we can't come remotely close to scoring

We are where we are because we are utter utter crap, can't defend, can't score, can't string a few passes together, can't find 1 telling pass into the penalty box, unless it's in our own box to an opposition player.too many players who make mistakes that cost us.
Thats a recipe for relegation.

It was a symptom of Away teams coming to Stoke. They know, without doubt, it is Possible to come here, defend, underperform and still win. It’s been happening for 3 or more years.

Bottle this thread and open it in two or three weeks, I'll say that was abject of a starting lineup you'll see from a professional manager, at home anywhere. To a man the players gave real effort but the lack of a threat at home to any championship club has us even closer to going down from individual fuck ups. We're luckily it wasn't 1 nil after 10 mins to Rose faffing it to them and then hoever nearly gave it to them before his monumental brain fart for the lead. This team has no goals and gives them all over the pitch.

Christ, I didn't think my expectations were that high. In no way can I say that I feel we left everything on the pitch. Which, in a relegation battle that we're firmly in- is anywhere near acceptable.
If they put in a shift, I'll be the first to applaud it. That wasn't it.
