It didn’t look a great line up, though I didn’t say anything because you just can’t predict this stuff any more. I’m happy to do the decent thing and admit I was wrong, even though I never actually said anything in public. Absolutely. We created nothing from open play which the line up suggested we wouldn't but got the goal . No idea how it worked, but it did.

He’s either a tactical genius or a jammy sod.
The state of our league position, I don’t even care which any more. A win is a win and the manager takes the credit because we always blame him when we lose.

I don't remember any of the - I told you so crowd who are suddenly appearing on full time saying what a good line up it was I imagine many were worried re Stevens and Philogene but sometimes you can't beat experience . He had him not just in his pocket at times but in the back pocket of a pair or jeans in the back of a wardrobe. In fact Narnia at times What a great performance and Good Good Friday It didn’t look a great line up, though I didn’t say anything because you just can’t predict this stuff any more. I’m happy to do the decent thing and admit I was wrong, even though I never actually said anything in public.

The normal matchday experience is a trudge to a stadium, normally raining. Go into the stadium and watch an insipid and mind numbing game of football before going home and getting pissed out of your skull to forget all about it. Hmm...are you suggesting football is NOT meant to be like that? Over the years I've just assumed that's how it's supposed to be. Interesting.

Jesus Christ most of you are the most negative supporters ive ever come across, MOAN MOAN MOAN !! pull yourselves together if we won the Champions League you negative doom boring experts would still be moaning . Make sure your sandwiches are in your faded tupperware container in the fridge polish your brown brogues put your fairisle knitted jumper on and rush to work to do your clerk of the council jobs and tell your colleague Norman about your troubles, Get a grip and be positive ever likely theres no atmosphere at games Yeah but we're not about to win the Champions League are we, we're about to get relegated from the Championship! As I've said many times, it's NOT THE FANS' FAULT! We've been positive. over and over again, and every single time it turns to shit. This time, even the shit is turning to shit. Positivity needs to start at the club.

Aslong as there's no rendition of that cringey as fuck mauled by the tigers song from their fans today I'll be happy. It was the tiger claw actions that went with it that cracked me up 😆 Didn't mind the song, but those claw actions were the campest thing I've ever seen in football.

A manager played him in his correct position? What is this wizardry? Dunno, but we’ll not be having any of that controversial stuff here at Stoke thank you very much.

Schumacher is not the man for the future but it’s too late to change this season. Should have been done a month back.
We are now down to “hope for the best”. Whatever happens, happens. Very sad it’s come to this but the only real surprise is it has taken as long as it has since our last relegation.
Even when we win it’s not actually very good.
We are a broken club.

Fair play about his comments in his interview. Some will see it as weakness, which is understandable. For those who haven’t heard (I’m paraphrasing) he came in, tried to implement his style, took us too far away from what we were actually good at and has addressed it. Personally, I think this shows good awareness and maturity. Yeah it might not be the lovely brand of football we all want. But we can start to implement that over the summer. The key at the minute is getting enough points to keep us in the league. What he has said today is exactly why he should stay and be allowed to build something. Previous managers including Pullis and Neil would not alter how they played irrespective wether it was working or not so for a young coach to change speaks volumes Hopefully we stay up then he’s got time to recruit a few and to implement his own style Completely agree. I wanted him gone a few weeks back. I was wrong.

Let’s not get ahead of ourselves, we need to follow it up. We’re a poor side. That there’s shit loads of them in than league and hopefully we get 1 point more than 3rd from bottom. We certainly are a poor side but we now look like we might have enough to just about stay up. That’s all that matters for now. We can look at changing things in the summer.

Good win but especially so given the away turnout. Brilliant win. Potentially season-changing win. I’m pleasantly delighted as I’ll admit I didn’t expect this.

I think it means that we're simply a Championship side. Ups and downs, sawtoothed graphs and all. We’re going to win the league!

I’ve flip flopped my view again.
Some weeks ago I felt we would stay up. Then I felt we were down. Now I feel we can stay up again.
I really don’t know any more.
I’m happy today though so who cares!

He's not going is he? Clearly we've decided it's fine dropping to league one, so I guess we just need to accept it now. We could be putting the finishing touches to a new appointment before any announcement is made. This is not the time for an interregnum. An inter-wotty?

We’ve tried that. The players don’t give a shit. This mess is not because the fans haven’t backed the team. Yes, but don't you see, without the backing of the supporters there is nothing. Some want the Coates's to go. But if they go, the money goes with them. Why do you think the top teams in the Prem. are at the top? It's because of their rich owners. With the Coates's backing we have a chance that eventually it will come good. Just like it did for the 10 years in the Prem. Swings & roundabouts. I've seen Man. U. & Liverpool drop to the old First division. It's the money that was backing them that got them back. How did Chelsea get to where they are? All I'm saying is that the Coates's back this Club because they love the Club. That's why they stick around, & we should be grateful for their backing. I've backed this team with my support, since when Bob McGrory was the Manager. And I'm still here. I agree. I don’t want the Coates’s out. I just tire of reading how it’s be all ok if we just got behind the team. We have, and they (mostly) don’t care.

Some on here seem to be wishing that we go down, so that they can say "I told you so, & it's all the Coates's fault". What happened to following your team? What happened to us roaring them on, Pottermus style, when we are in trouble? The only way that we have a chance of staying up, is if we THE SUPPORTERS back the team on Saturday, & roar them to succeed. I say, put more effort into backing the team, than trying to get the team Coach sacked. We'll be here long after these players & Coach are long gone. 'Stoke City' is the Supporters, not the players or Coach. It's OUR team. So lets hear some noise on Saturday, & "goo-on Stoke". We’ve tried that. The players don’t give a shit. This mess is not because the fans haven’t backed the team.

Alex Neil managed in this division for multiple years, with success. What do you class as properly experienced and who of such an ilk is available? He means Pulis and nobody else All roads lead to Rome All roads lead to Tone!

You can back a manager who is trying to do all the right things, but not getting the rub of the green. What I cannot tolerate is the tactical naivety being shown by our current incumbent. Keep things solid like we did under Gally and the first four games under Schumacher, and we have enough to see us safe. This bloke though just insists on playing suicide football. Not sticking with three at the back against Cardiff as he did against QPR and Coventry has cost us three critical points. He just isn't streetwise enough to keep us in this division. And if he can't show the skills required to do that when he has a team capable of scraping through, then I don't want him for League One. He’s gone in as a long term project to sort that rancid squad and dressing room out …..that can’t be done overnight and whoever the manager it wouldn’t he done It’s not a computer game To take that view, we must now accept league one for the foreseeable.

Seven defeats in eight games is what we have. And when the next manager can’t get a tune do we sack him also? I mean cmon eh this nonsense has to stop Of course it does but we need to get out of this crisis first and then take stock. The current manager is taking us down. 100%.

We're at the point where we're throwing random names into the hat on the off chance someone might come and rescue us. There isn't anyone. Best stick with what we have. Seven defeats in eight games is what we have.

Seven defeats in eight games.
We are really, really shit. As bad as it gets.
There is no exaggeration.
We are heading down to league one and the current team would struggle to beat anybody there as well.
The manager lacks the experience to get us out of this and I suspect our current points total is largely what we’ll finish the season on.
It’s over.

Plymouth seem to have found a decent manager in Ian Foster, seems like they know what they are looking for,yet we struggle time after time to get anyone decent. Perhaps we could Nick him as well and really piss them off!

Io know this is controversial and I don't want to see it happen but is relegation that bad iimf we can rebuild with young players that build confidence of winning and being a successful team rather than limp long as we have been We need to go forward if that means taking a step back so be it Not this again. The same was said when we were heading for relegation from the premier league. Relegation will be a complete catastrophe from which we will take years, if not decades, to recover.

The weekly thread blaming the fans.
For the umpteenth time…we’ve done all this. We’ve got behind the team, we’ve cheered them on. They don’t give a shit.
The “moaning” will stop when the team isn’t utter dogshite.
