No doubt a lot of supporters will have received PC’s letter today. Many may not read it until after returning home from work IMHO He has to be applauded for saying;“There’s no escaping the fact that it has been a desperately disappointing campaign by the standards we have set ourselves since being promoted to the Pemier League in 2008” “My family and I have shared your disappointment and feel the pain of losing as intensely as anyone who holds Stoke City close to their hearts” A missed opportunityI believe he has missed a great and golden opportunity to say what a lot of supporters would have gave him MASSIVE credit for. Something along the lines of; We have made mistakes, we have learned lessons. Plans are in place to rectify those mistakes, action has already commenced that we believe will guarantee short and long term prosperity for Stoke City. No one should underestimate our plans to cement the clubs rightful place within the Premier League Just my personal thoughts as a supporterCouldn't agree more, honesty is the best policy

Why is he entitled to a fucking bean? Gross misconduct is gross misconduct. Being late 3 times isn't gross misconduct. Bringing the club into disrepute is.

Skip - presuming you'd read my comment and was replying to that, it's not nonsensical. Make no mistake Shaqiri is a talent. But he does seem to think he's the next Ronaldo the stuff he comes out with. He's good, but because hes not good enough for inter (hence the sell) it doesn't make it nonsensical. he may not be good enough for Inter but he's head and shoulders above the vast majority of ours, or most pertinently, the key players he is supposed to be playing with up front and such. Which game did Campbell come on for? Can't remember. Anyway, Shaq played a peach of a ball into his path and he simply didn't react quickly enough. That must be maddening. Leicester. He had only been on 2 minutes in his first ever premier league match. Cut him some slack.

His comments in the papers don't help tho does it Tex? If he wants to leave let him go at the end of the season and take his money. Yes hes a great player but he's not as good as thinks he is, or else Bayer Munich or inter Milan would of kept hold of him. maybe he's not good enough for either Bayern or Inter, but that doesn't mean he's at the level of a side going down, like Stoke. I don't disagree with you.

I'd say so yes. Remember im asking effort not ability. Diouf (always) Shawcross Bauer Ramadan (may not be brilliant but gives 100%) Butland Pieters I’d disagree with Butland, it’s plain as day his head has been elsewhere for a while. Maybe, but i can still seeing him going mad at his own team mates on the pitch which still makes me think he cares

Probably not. Do any of the players apart from Allen? Also probably not. I'd say so yes. Remember im asking effort not ability. Diouf (always) Shawcross Bauer Ramadan (may not be brilliant but gives 100%) Butland Pieters

Shaq is a superb footballer and in the last few months it's patently obvious that he is on a different wavelength to nearly if not all the others. To knock him down a peg or two by saying that if he was that great he'd be playing for Inter or whoever is nonsensical. Just because he's not an international from a big cup winning country doesn't mean he's not a superb talent. He joined us when we were solid and looking to build. Whether he took an age to sign or not, he eventually did. If was him, playing in the Stoke City of the here and now, I'd be at my wits end. - www.express.co.uk/sport/football/881355/Stoke-City-star-Xherdan-Shaqiri-hits-back-critics-Mark-HughesSkip - presuming you'd read my comment and was replying to that, it's not nonsensical. When he doesn't put in 100% effort then i care. We would be down without his goals (4 or 5) MASSIVE effort, or we could of signed someone half decent and stayed up without him easily. People said the same about Fuller and Arnautovic's effort when they were here. We signed him and he's been involved in important goals. People using his Social Media antics to re-write history. Do you reckon he gives 100% every game?

A goal or assist every 3 games, around the same as a certain Austrian in his time here, to suggest he's the reason we are going down is simply not true. I'm not suggesting he is the reason? I'm saying if we had someone better we would of easily stayed up, there's a difference mate.

If you think Crouch is the answer then you are definitely missing the blindingly obvious ....he either plays in 442 or not at all ...otherwise see you in the championship Stoke tends to get torn to shreds nowadays though

We'd already be down without Choupo's goals and assists this season. Who gives a fuck what he does on his commute to work? When he doesn't put in 100% effort then i care. A lot of the criticism directed at him is because there's a general sense that the squad doesn't give a fuck, if he played like this during let's say a good period for the club nobody would have a bad word against him. He's getting grief because his team mates are shit His comments in the papers don't help tho does it Tex? If he wants to leave let him go at the end of the season and take his money. Unless I'm missing something blindingly obvious there are only three ways to move the ball up the pitch to attack the opposition. Pass it, run with it, or knock it long to a target man and compete for the knock-downs. We're just not very good at the first two, but Crouch is ideal for the third. And he'd need a partner with Shaq behind them. Basic football, nobody likes it. But make the most of what you've got instead of trying to play a style that's beyond the players. I agree with this.

There has to be a case here for dismissal. I could get behind a 'Berahino Out' demonstration if the Sentinel is to be believed here. Anything

All that piece confirms is that we are QPR reincarnate. Presumably senior players will have been talking to the senior management team about a lack of discipline, slack management and it being long overdue, so why no action before January? Shocking and shoddy management. Hhhmmm - could there be a link between the QPR shambles and ourselves? I go back to my thread from September... are we turning into QPR

I'd bloody love it if they were fit / good enough for us. I have no idea if they would be, but surely for a season in the Championship they'd have some role, even if it's for a bit of mental steel! Is Whelan struggling at Villa? Get them all back they cant do any worse

Our set piece delivery has been shocking for years. We never even look like scoring from one, do we? I can't understand how we can be so bad at them. You'd think that we'd be practicing corners and free kicks incessantly during the week, since we can't score elsewhere. Now the defence is mostly adequate we should just concentrate on scoring through set pieces. The only excuse i can think of is that the corner taker (normally shaq) is trying to be too precise on corners to hit the first man and flick it on. But doesn't get it right.

This is a lovely, heartwarming anecdote about Ray Wilkins from Nigel Quashie. Worth a read In an Instagram post paying tribute to his former manager, ex-QPR midfielder Nigel Quashie told the story of how Wilkins gave him his debut against Manchester United at Old Trafford. I will always be proud to say how lucky I am to have been coached, managed and even to have met you. If it wasn't for you I would never have started my career playing football and I will never forget going to Manchester United as a YTS trainee to do all the kit and boots in the changing room for the first-team squad.
One hour and 30 minutes before kick-off you name the team and I was in it, and that's how my debut went. I didn't even get to think about it because all you said was: you're number 18, here are your boots and shin pads, just go and play, have fun and treat it like you're over the park with your mates.
My mum never had a mobile phone back then because we couldn't afford anything like that and everything went through her work or home phone. I asked you after the game if I could call home to speak to her. You said use my mobile and call this number - it was my mum on the other end of the line and she said she was outside by the away team bus.
I went outside to see her and asked how did you get here because I knew she couldn't afford it. She told me Ray had got the club to pay for her train ticket to come to the game and then told me Ray got the club to give us our first mobile phone in life during the week and he wanted to surprise me, knowing I was making my debut.
I was given a chance by Ray Wilkins, one of the legends of the game, and to this day you are the first person I mention when it comes to football and that will never change. You will be missed so much not just in the football world but as a real human being with such class. Thanks for everything and my thoughts go to all the family. Sleep well Sir Ray Wilkins.Simply fucking amazing. No other words for it.
