I feel sorry for Lambert. He’s made us more solid but been left with a shocking group of forward players with the exception of Shaq. I just don’t know what he can do to make us more of a threat when he clearly doesn’t have the players. I’ll go with
...............................Jack............................. ...Bauer.........Zouma......Indi...........Eric...... ..................Badou..............Allen................. ...............................Ireland......................... .....Shaq.................Berahino.........Diouf.....

Need goals to stay up it's that simple, agree with your lineup apart from maybe Cheapo for Berahino.

I wonder if Wimmer will be on the pitch before kick off doing his cheerleading routine for his previous club. He needs all the exercise he can get.

Why could the other manager get goals out of them if they're so shocking?

Everyone is resigned to relegation but a heavy defeat could tip the scales and the crowd completely turn given recent events off the pitch

Everyone is resigned to relegation but a heavy defeat could tip the scales and the crowd completely turn given recent events off the pitch We’ll set up similarly to the Man City game I would imagine with the hope of creating more against a team who aren’t at the same level. We need to score the first goal though which I just don’t see, our record when we go behind is an embarrassment.....

Butland Edwards Ryan BMI Pieters Badou Allen Bauer Shaq Stafy Campbell
I'd also consider putting Bauer at RB and Sobhi on right wing(2 goals from there) but that would be his last opportunity to impress he's wank at left wing

Yet we're conceding considerably less goals.......... I reckon it's got something to do with Lambert using a 12 man defence.

We may as well lose having a go and not holding out to keep the score down mate ...It’s too late for all that bollocks A heavy defeat or losing with a whimper could tip the scales and tbh even though I desperately hope not I can see it happening

I think we will give a good account of ourselves , miss a good chance to go in front before succumbing to a 2 or 3 goal defeat.

Everyone is resigned to relegation but a heavy defeat could tip the scales and the crowd completely turn given recent events off the pitch Turn against who though ? Most of the players guilty of the worst sins aren’t playing , the manager is doing the best he can with the garbage squad he’s been given and most of us know that , like it or not, this club is never going to have better owners than the Coates’. The prospect of 20 thousand people turning their venom on the likes of Tony Scholes (although an ongoing fantasy for some people) is unlikely. More likely a bit of moaning and groaning and an early departure to escape the car parks.

As shit as things seem if we can somehow get a result Saturday I could actually see us going to West Ham and getting a result. But that’s the optimist in me....

Oh I hope you are correct mate I really do but a whimpering or heavy defeat could tip the scales against those unfortunate to be on the pitch Let’s hope I’m wrong and we give Tottenham a match at least and hopefully a victory....another Manchester City or Everton performance with zero efforts on goal will no longer suffice given our predicament

We looked a lot more likely to score goals under hughes.
And I wanted hughes out, no doubt.
Lambert though has somehow managed to strangle the life out of us.
One win so far, nailed on relegation certainties and people still defend him.
Lambert should be following pardew out the door...TODAY.
It was game over for us a couple of games into his tenure.
Paul Lambert takes a huge share of the responsibility for the state we are in

Paul Lambert takes a huge share of the responsibility for the state we are in "Huge share"??? Really????? So he bought Wimmer, Imbula and Berahino for close to 50m quid? So he got rid of some of the balls and fight in the squad by letting the likes of Huth, Walters, Whelan and Bardsley go? So he got Choupo-Moting on a free to replace Arnie, and gloated as to our ambition in getting Jese on loan? So he thought Darren Fletcher would be the answer in the middle of the park? So he said we had to be self-sufficient, left Hughes in charge after the writing was so clearly on the wall after last season and, even as Christmas approached, declared he did not know what all the fuss was about? He has failed in the tough assignment of digging us out of the mess we were in, but he was not the original architect of that mess.

Zouma man to man with arnie and we'll win there. We know arnie doesnt like pace and strength in opposition defenders. Zouma can stop him we can go there and win.

Damage limitation next Saturday must be the order of the day, snatch a point if we are lucky by parking the bus, and pray that West Ham and Burnley are already on the beach, and that Palace and Swansea are somehow even worse than us.
