You should apply for a place on Mastermind. Specialised subject: Questions a four year old would ask. This is a good point in many ways the money is like monopoly money every time the bar is raised at the top the prices seem to go up so clubs like us end up with average and worse players on anything between 30 and 70k a week . As we will probably see next season quite few who wont cut it in the championship getting recruitment right is a huge thing THe Coates family can do what they want with their money but with our recruitment they could blow the lot and still not end up with a good football team Obviously the money they gave Hughes for Wimmer, Berahino, and Imbula wasn't good enough then?

The difference between now and yesteryear is that we should be flush with money from our years in the Premier League Even though we have a £90M wage bill? Who's fault is that?

As much as we agree on Hughes and his oxygen thieving, no matter what you say about Pulis he's our best manager ever. Hmm, top 5 I’ll give you, ever....... that’s just too subjective. What did he win?, how high in the league did he ever get? Who were his top 4 top flight signings? The look at the other great former Stoke managers’ records. You don't have to win something to be the best. Let me ask you a question - If Jose won the league with manchester united and all the money in the world. Or paul lambert took a club from league 1 to the premier league and stabilised them with little/no money... who's the better manager?

Personal agenda. If rains tomorrow I expect a post from you placing the responsibility at Pulis’s door. PS. Get in touch with the Donna Louise Trust and ask them to support your vitriolic bile. Why doesn't he just bung them the cash? Why don't stoke just give the charity the money instead of pissing about on a golf course?

Pieters? Agree Diouf is fast but he is not really a footballer all be it works hard. So we have one quick player Bauer in a squad of what 25? Yes Pieters. Look at the stats, he can motor. We have 3 quick players, all in positions that require pace to be effective. Pieters fast GTFO

1. May I ask from a point of interest (a) when did you become a regular attending supporter? 2. Can you explain in detail the rationale for making such a derogatory statement? Awaiting your response with interest Never regularly attended due to my old man and myself working Saturdays until last year, and I’ve been watching since I was around 8 years old, so 17 years and counting. And I can explain because this is a man who tried to defraud Crystal Palace out of millions of pounds and was found out, throws his toys out of the pram when he can’t get his own way, ostracises players he doesn’t like, completely took the piss out of us on his return here with West Brom, and has done ever since, people talk about him as if he’s some sort of god, he’s a massively out of touch with modern football totalitarian, who loves to dabble in a spot of fraud every now and again and spins everything to make him look Teflon, when in reality he’s a spiteful individual who’s successfully burned his bridges at every single club he’s ever managed at. As much as we agree on Hughes and his oxygen thieving, no matter what you say about Pulis he's our best manager ever.

The only charity here is stoke city.

What a great man. Already been made manager of the season Appeared at the Oxford Union. Knighthood just around the corner. No surprise if he is canonised. And of course, he is the greatest manager our club will ever have. Cant disagree with that, one of the only gifted British managers still around. A very good man-manager, and he had the ability of getting the best out of every player. Even when he left us he still did everything for the DL trust, not often you will see that from any manager that leaves a club. A hero.

I still don't know how to post a picture in here, but on twitter people are posting pictures of stoke's Instagram about them having a golf day. I'm all for having fun but when we have the most important game of the season in 7 days and there not working their arses off, it beggars belief really. Maybe they have already decided there down so don't feel the need to train for the correct sport? Don't you get sick of embarrassing yourself? Do you get sick of being negative towards pulis?

Its an absolute pleasure to watch him speak, passionate, committed, and the greatest man we will ever see take charge of this club.
Thanks tone.

I’d happily see Carroll up front and Arnautovic out wide to be fair. Much rather the likes of Shawcross be be against brawn rather than pace..... He will be on the bench I would imagine, or you could end up facing both no way will Arnie be moved back wide in the form he's showing up front Hopefully he gets injured in training

If we were sitting in 9th or 10th, no one would bat an eyelid. We are not playing until next Monday, so a day off now will not harm preparations. Whilst i get what your saying, they could of cancelled it and be working harder on the training ground. What's more important at the end of the day? Maybe teaching diouf how not to cock up a 4 v 1

I sleep safe in the knowledge it doesn't matter who the referee is - the boys are on the training ground working their arses off in preparation. Oh wait...they're on a golf day Just seen this on twitter, unreal.

If we had this same team with fuller or arnie up front we would not go down Selling Arnie was simply criminal Arnie wanted away and would have been a sulking nightmare if he had stayed, the issue was the failure to adequately replace him and even more so to fill the glaring lack of a goal scorer. Jese/Ramadan was suposed to do the former and Berahino coming good the later, unfortunately neither expectation worked out. You're right, arnie wanted out/agent wanted out. The issue was the replacement, not the fact of letting him go.

Writing off the Liverpool game, imho we're going to need 36-37pts, factoring in our poor GD. So that's 3 wins and 1 draw from WHU, Burnley, Palace, and Swansea. Anyone fancy putting decent money on that?? i would expect a 5er should return near on £300

I'd chuck 25K at every stoke player to beat west ham on Monday. That's the biggest game since promotion. I would do the opposite! Refuse to pay any wages unless they beat WestHam and two more teams. legally not allowed, lol.

If we don't beat West Ham on Monday, we're humped. Arnie, will score at least twice, we're down. Hope we get at least a point, but not disaster if we don’t. You're right it wouldn't be a disaster, it would mean relegation.

Can we stop the blind optimism posts after we lose to West Ham next Monday? I still have that little bit of hope mate being honest, its slim but still chance. The second arnie scores i will of give up 100%.

This could go to the very last day! Winner stays up. Don’t be deluded. According to some on here, it’s over. I guess they spend the rest of the season hoping they are proved to be wise sages ? Anyone who has watched stoke this year, pretty much knows we are gone. We're fucking abysmal. I think we would go down at the start of the season, i could see Mark Hughes failing this year and if you go through my posts you will see that. However lets make one thing clear, i do not want stoke to go down 'to be proven right' I know i was right, i just want us to stay up.

At least the welsh clueless twat got us some top half finishes. If your hero had of been capable of doing that there would have been no need to have dispensed with him. On the back of what Pulis had achieved before him. Mark Hughes didn’t work any major magic act at Stoke, the hard work was all done for him. The first season under him, the team were still fit, we didn’t get injuries, once he’d been here a couple of seasons, that all began to ebb. Mark Hughes is a massive cunt, and the warning signs that the management team/hierarchy had took their eye off the ball was evident as early as the build up to the 2016-2017 season. Just my thoughts 👍🏼 Couldn't agree more, absolutely spot on. Everything was in place for him, we had a good balance throughout, great team spirit. Pride & Passion. Mark Hughes has proven not just with ourselves, but at QPR he is an absolute fraud. Even at Fulham his tactics were so bad the players ignored him and played their own game.

1. Peter Coates. 2. John Coates. 3. Mark Cartwright. 4. Tony Scholes. 5. Anonymous Directors who failed to speak up and remained spineless 'yes-men' throughout our demise. You're not blaming Mark Hughes for any of this?

Very similar to what i said. A last day loss is level on points but IMO we go down due to getting a pasting at anfield Our game is sandwiched between the two semi final games...we will not get a pasting. We could even get a point There reserve team would beat our first team.

As hard as it is to see us actually getting another win, I was encouraged by Saturday's performance. Most of my eggs are in the Huddersfield basket. It's all going to come down to those next 2 games for them. If they win one of them, things look very tricky - but that's not a given at all. I hope it doesn't come down to GD, but they could get a few pastings to finish the season, and keeping the score down at Anfield could be the key...
