Could do a hell of a lot worse than getting Huth Whelan and Walters back for a season to give us some spine in the championship

If Big Robert is fit and injury free, he would be a great signing for a season in The Championship

Huth and Walters have barely kicked a ball in anger all season, they are finished, you can’t live in the past either. Look elsewhere .

I'd bloody love it if they were fit / good enough for us. I have no idea if they would be, but surely for a season in the Championship they'd have some role, even if it's for a bit of mental steel!
Is Whelan struggling at Villa?

Are we rewriting history that much we are forgetting Whelan and Walters were a pivotal part of our regular 4-5 goal trouncings last season ?

Clearly you guys haven't seen any of them this season. Whelan has lost 15 yards on his already non existent pace and Villa fans haven't rated him. Walters hasn't played and Walters has been injured all season.
We had them during their best days. Ssflu those days are over. But yeah, get a few players in with their work ethic and we'll piss the Championship.

Jesus wept I'm not arsed about Whelan but two points on Walters: We're worse this season than last season and have suffered innumerable 4-5 goal thrashings without him anyway, Our inevitable drop into the Championship could cater for his drop in quality anyway.

Walters has only managed to play 36 minutes all season. Huth hasn't played in the Premier League at all. We would be much better off bringing in younger players who are on the way up rather than old crocks from the past. I doubt if either would pass a medical anyway.

Jesus wept, Stoke fans must be the worst of any team fans in wanting to bring back old plodders who've done nothing for a good while.
It's the same attitude that wants to see long ball tactics and Pulis back.
Move on and look forward.

I personally want to see us with player capable of controlling and distributing the ball and some actual attacking poise about our play. Huth, Walters and Whelan were all fantastic for us to a man and will forever remain legends of the club. But times change, we need speed, we're crying out for it and they will not provide it. Yes they are all spirited players, but if you're playing with flair and verve, spirit will follow.

I forgot the major impact whelan and Walters had on our team last season!!! Some people talk absolute bollocks! We miss that kind of attitude but certainly not that standard of quality!

Huth and Walters of 5 years ago yes, to come back now? No thank you Wimmer better than Huth? Berahino better than walters? I do think Bera will come good in the Championship. He is a good player. There's no doubt he has some talent, he's just been horribly mismanaged at times and is now so low on confidence that his head is fucked. Unfortunately, what isn't anyone else's fault but his own, is his genuine skills at being paparazzi porn. Missus locking his mistress in the house. 5 grand hooker for 5 mins. This shit doesn't help anyone, especially himself. I think back to that debut, when he almost scored a brilliant goal, and I just wonder how different it might have been had that gone in. His confidence would have been through the roof.
