does it really matter? they beat us fair and square FFS They were hungry to win and played their hearts out unlike us. But they cheated where we didn’t so .... Just because they played their hearts out does that mean it’s okay for them to break rules? Our performance deserves them all to be lined up and shot with paintballs from point blank range
I couldn't care less if they had 30 coaches in the stands to play like we did was absolutely inexcusable.

Didn't quite mean it like pack your bags and never play again, I was more referring to the fact that we know were not going anywhere this year Not what shut up shop means is it... But alright, lets go with the way you meant it. 2 games played out of 46 and we'll just write the season off because "were not going anywhere" after 2 of the 46 games have been played. Still talking bollocks whichever way you meant it. Shut up shop our hopes of promotion. You may have them tinted specs on pal but we are still rottenl all the way through the club. Rowett has made it clear he's not happy in his interviews as well.

If we lose to the likes of tinpot brentford with the money we have spent on keeping players on with high wages and the signings we have made its time to shut up shop Brentford ain't tin pot. Good team with a good manager and I think they'll do well. Massively ignorant to call them tinpot. Shut up shop? What on earth are you on about?! If we lose Saturday we'll just dissolve the club and never play again eh? Don't half talk some bollocks you! Didn't quite mean it like pack your bags and never play again, I was more referring to the fact that we know were not going anywhere this year

Totally forgot about this. I would of booked the day off work to go down and see them. Surely some fans there can give them motivation for fucks sake. Were 10x better than the team we were on Sunday. Come on lads sort this shit out its not like we don't deserve it.
Come on stoke!

The same run of events happened at Coventry. We were absolutely wank all game and won a lucky penalty.
We scored from the spot, looked absolutely no different to when we kicked off the opposition in both Coventry and Leeds still were in complete control of the game and Leeds scored straight after. Its strange

There are serious issues and questions about our performance on Sunday that need to be answered this weekend. 'Are we the new Sunderland?' isn't one of them. Have a bit of happiness in your life, take a break from hating everything, you'll feel much better Its called living in the real world

My brother in law and I both planned to go but after what we saw at the weekend we have decided against it as not one player in the side showed any evidence of ever having any training. The Leeds manager had his first team do 3 hours litter picking the other week, I suggest Rowett has the whole of the squad litter picking for the day in front of all the fans so that they can be humiliated in the same way that they humiliate their supporters. Great post. It was simply embarrassing.

If we lose to the likes of tinpot brentford with the money we have spent on keeping players on with high wages and the signings we have made its time to shut up shop If your players think teams like Brentford are tinpot and nothing more than that, then you are in deep trouble of getting relegated...just saying. With the money we have spent, we should not be losing to Brentford. Its like saying man city should lose to wolves. it shouldn't happen.

If we lose to the likes of tinpot brentford with the money we have spent on keeping players on with high wages and the signings we have made its time to shut up shop Brentford are one of the best teams in the league. Calling them "tinpot" means nothing if you haven't done your research. They've been building this team, way of playing/recruiting/analysing for 7-8 years and you're calling them tinpot, presumably because they are historically a small club with no recent top-flight experience. You always make a hash of every thread you create or wade into because you clearly take a punt on making statements without knowing the facts. Trust me mate if i tell you one little secret that would be i never make a hash of anything, especially not on an internet forum.

Main problem here is that we aren't the "new" anything - we're the same old Stoke of last season and the back-end of the season before - it really is worrying after the appalling capitulation last season that even with a new manager and a few new faces it was like nothing had changed at all - and that concerns me greatly and I blame Coates for NOT delivering the implied root & branch reform/ clean sweep he promised only a few short months ago. There's a stench about the place and a cloud hanging over the club - every team in the Championship will have seen that yesterday and will take heart that we are very very vulnerable and will fancy their chances if they get in our faces...... We have to have a swift & decisive response and put a bouyant Brentford back in their place on Sat in order to steady the ship and instil some belief in players and supporters alike - we are shit scared at the moment & other teams will smell the fear like a pack of rabid dogs...!!!! If we lose to the likes of tinpot brentford with the money we have spent on keeping players on with high wages and the signings we have made its time to shut up shop

Like it or not we are a business, TS job in particular is to balance the books and thats exactly what he is doing at the moment. Its probably not a popular opinion i hold but i say hes doing exactly the job hes employed to do right now. We have an aging squad that nobody wants who are earning hundreds of thousands every week and yes that might be of his doing in the first place but you cant just keep signing checks to rectify previous mistakes. Look at the striker situation Efobe, Crouch, Bera, Choupo, Campbell, Ngoy, Diouf. We play 1 striker and have 7 on the books taking over what 250 - 300k out every week. You could argue only 1 of them is good enough all you want but if ut was your money would you be happy to spend more ? Midfield: Etebo, Allen, Ndiaye, Ince, Adam, Afellay, Mcclean, Imbula, Fletcher, Bojan, Verlinden, Sorenson. Its clear the squad is in desperate need of refreshing and is not balanced at all but until players leave its not smart business to bring new players in the problem is nobody wants the shit we have in the first place, agents love getting their players moves because of the financial incentive involved but if the player is going to earn less elsewhere why would they move ? We are in a shit state and of course a huge part of that falls at his door but right now we only have to look at whats happened over at the villa to see how it could all go drastically wrong if you dont get promoted. People keep going on about the 40m parachute paymemt, the income of the club has massively reduced but the running costs remain the same, the club as an example have made no redundancies thats part of where this money will have gone to run the club and give us the chance to transition to a championship income you cant just spunk it up the wall and hope we go back up again very bad business exactly what villa have done. My tin hat is firmly in place and i know this will be a very unpopular post but we as fans run on emotion where the club is a business and protecting that business and specifically the P+L is his job and its exactly what he is doing. Balancing the books????? The coates family are the richest in the league and in the top 5 of the premier league. Its hardly like we have to get rid to sign. You carry on the way we are going and we will be relegated to league 1 with rowett walking within 2/3 months because coates and scholes and cartwright have not stuck to their word. Rowett is clearly pissed off and we've only played 90 minutes of bastard league football.

I know!, Its terrible really, I don't know which way we turn now. Clearly more investment is needed. But we are stuck with all these players. Don't know how they are going to pull several rabbits out of the bag before Thursday!! Easy - give Rowett and his coaches a budget and tell him to spend it how he sees fit. Also he keeps any money recouped by outgoings. Pulis managed it, with a lot less money.

I always suspected Rowett would be out of his depth with this job. He's never had money to spend with the objective to win the league. We should have gone for Bielsa You are right: someone with genuine gravitas to shake up the club would have been great. I do admit I find that a little harsh at this stage though to conclude Rowett is out of his depth. It may prove true - but it may be a job that bigger than 99% if it requires that he not only overhauls the first team, but changes the culture from top to bottom and implements new processes in all the different technical areas!. Rowett has shown he can build good championship teams on less resources. And Biesla's fiery temper temperament has yet to be put to the test in the unique conditions of the Championship, when he is managing a team with much less ability than he is used to who will not be able to carry out his sophisticated tactics. I suddenly got this sneaking feeling though that, if the shit and fan are on a surefire collision course something like 10 games in (and 8-12 pts on the board), Rowett will just walk citing a difference in direction with the Board - knowing in 3 months he can pick up again at Norwich/Swansea etc. and this was all some unhappy blip. I'd love to know how the job he has reflects the one he was sold! You can easily read between the lines in his recent videos that he's been sold a dud from the pizza boys. He makes that very clear

Anyone else enjoyed watching Glen Whelan barking instructions at his teammates, getting them organised, always being available to receive a pass thus creating space for other players to receive the ball and quite comfortably managing to pass the ball to a teammate in a manner that enables them to actually do something with the ball? No he’s still wank Dave ;-) His ability is wank but at least he looks like he knows what he's doing instead of running round like a zombie for 90 minutes

Judging by our pre season, and pathetic performance yesterday + the deadwood and scholes and cartwright at the helm, id say its closer to 10/1 Happy to give you 12/1 if you want to bet on it. I don't bet myself

Reading into it, i know what your hinting. There is a possibility. I'm saying the chances are better than 80/1. Probably more like 40/1. Judging by our pre season, and pathetic performance yesterday + the deadwood and scholes and cartwright at the helm, id say its closer to 10/1

No, but that doesn't mean it's not worth taking out insurance just in case. Fiver gets your season ticket money back if we go down: got to be worth it. Reading into it, i know what your hinting. There is a possibility.

Its the same delusional weirdos that said we weren't going down at christmas. They need to wake up and smell the coffee [br All this started during Charisma's extended honeymoon which he would never have been afforded had he not followed TP, aagggh sorry mentioned him, how very rude ! But TP played a second string team at valencia lets all hate him Maybe some of the clowns on here now will realise what an UNREAL job Pulis did for us.

Some posters on here know me personally, I can assure you that's a fact if nothing else. Are you this much of a rollercoaster in real life? I like to build up a little character of the people I'm speaking to that's all. If I have read you wrong then - I hold my hands up. Judging by yesterday, I would say I'm a character.
Hope this helps
