Before the kick-off for the 2nd half, the Sky Cameras zoomed in on a couple of head shots of Stoke players talking between themselves. I recall that McLean was one of them. Whatever was being said appeared to be very negative, as if they were looking at someone then shaking their heads, rolling their eyes etc - was it a reaction to instructions they had been given at half time, or a conversation about someones lack of effort on the pitch? Whatever it was the TV Director picked it out as something worth looking at, and it really gave the impression that no everyone was happy with the setup.
Any insight?

To add to tactical geniuses and scouting experts - we now have body language experts.
What a board!
If it was effort related it'll be Badou - all day - shocking excuse for an effort.

I'm not claiming to be a body language expert, it just surprised me that 2 or 3 players fired up to try and get back in to a game would look as negative as they did.

I'm only joking mate - I've had a shit weekend, needless to say! I didn't see it, but as I say if there was anybody lacking effort it would have been him, I'd put my house on it.

Fuck me if we’re going to analyse every aspect of our defeat in this much detail I wish we had a midweek game instead of having to wait until Saturday.....

I'd take that remark off anybody else but not off you. You're the biggest troll on here! I think you've had too much sugar this weekend celebrating finally seeing the team you've been spouting shit about on the internet in the hope of becoming a gimmick on a message board, which judging by your latest thread - the majority of members have a similar opinion of you as I do.

I don't go every weekend.. I used to referee at conference level on Saturdays so couldn't go then much.
But since I stopped doing that then I would say I go to 80% of games every season home and away

Right well, I'm taking that as your story now - if in a few months you're posting about when you used to play for Man Utd on Saturdays I won't be happy. Consistency is key. Up the Potters.

We as a team have a losers mentality.
As soon as the first goal went in heads were dropped especially the captain.
Not a one of them has a pair of bollocks to stand up and be counted.
McLean showed signs of fight and aggression, the rest are mild.

Last season a lot of our players, particularly defenders, got in the habit of dropping their heads and worrying about how many we would concede as soon as a goal went in our net. As much as I love Ryan to bits, his leadership skills leave a lot to be desired. We are very quiet as a team and need a loud voice of leadership somewhere on the pitch

All too nicey-nicey for me.

I noticed Pieters and Mclean were singled out by the camera as they chit-chatted , I could be wrong but I thought it was because Leeds were making us wait? Anyways, I don't think it was anything to get our knickers in a twist over Thought Mclean and Bauer were the best for endeavour and attitude. We really do need to get the others heads sorted. There's a definite hang-over from last Season. Do we have such a person as a sports psychologist or do we just have Charlie Adam

We look like a team going through the motions , with no desire to win. We just react to what the other team is doing , instead of trying to impose our game on them. Much too cautious,

There's a definite hang-over from last Season. Do we have such a person as a sports psychologist or do we just have Charlie Adam It was Pieters and I thought Afobe was involved as well. I watched from in front of the Directors box. It seemed a very long animated conversation with a lot of pointing towards the LB position. I wondered why the other players seemed to ignore them, notably Ryan. Regarding Ryan's leadership it seemed very lacking yesterday and it noticeable when Fletcher came on he started barking orders at everyone and geeing everyone up. If there is any comfort to be drawn from yesterday it was a big wake-up call for the players and the Board.
