Wonder if you might step up your interest in Michael Keane, who we are both linked with. Particularly if you need a CB. We've made a third and final bid for him apparently.

What brand of UK tea do you drink? The poll is available with multiple selection enabled (2 votes allowed). How do you like to make your tea & what's your daily system? Any other thoughts on tea welcome here too, interested in what we all drink ... The two brands I drink on a very regular basis are Tetley Tea and Yorkshire Tea (I've only started recently with Yorkshire Tea and like the variation between that and Tetley). Avid tea drinker myself. *If you do not drink the traditional cup of tea, you can also suggest other teas you drink such as Herb/Fruit tea*...

As many of you know, I am fairly new to this forum, so just wondered why underneath my username it now displays 'Lads n Dads?' Is it because I have reached a certain amount of posts?
Thank you!

Yeah apologies guys, when I mentioned Oliver, I was basing him on when he's reffed Leicester and when I've seen him ref elsewhere. Of course, I can't speak for the entirety of his matches. I should of pointed this out...

Started my interest in football & Leicester City in the Walkers Stadium days. Would of loved to have seen Filbert Street. I joined in a new era of football, a new era of football culture. Last season then? Afraid not 2006 was my first game.

I can't say I've got knowledge of this but sounds interesting and you could be right. I never managed to go to Filbert Street, and witness that stand in real life. It was a magnificent stand though judging by the photos, that one there is a great picture. It wouldn't look out of place now. I suppose you didnt need to go to Filbert Street having only supported them for 6 months or so Started my interest in football & Leicester City in the Walkers Stadium days. Well I have an interest in football stadia in general, so changes/improvements/new grounds/stadium structures is quite fascinating to me. I enjoy the topics on here, some interesting stuff to talk about and it's nice to feel welcomed despite me being an opposition supporter. I like Stoke, I value your support and just feel you're a great club. Nice ground too. Of course, being the champions of the Premier League is outstanding and such a great feeling. Particularly when you've followed your club through bad times to now good times. It's nice to read normal posts for a change instead of posts of incoherent bollox all the time. Keep posting fella. Thank you, it's a great forum.

Filbert St, a bit like the Baseball Ground (although not as extreme), was rubbish & great at the same time Renowned for atmosphere so I hear. Older grounds tended to have unique atmosphere's.

Oh interesting, you might notice the positive difference with the new red seats, it really lifts the colour. The Brit will be look very nice in coming years then, corners filled in and new red seating, with the possibility of stadium expansion too (?). I have noticed (although not complete) the difference our new blue/white seats have made at the King Power. Did Leicester re-use some of the seats from the main Carling(?) stand at Filbert Street when they moved? Someone told me that years ago but it seemed strange for a new stadium. I remember that being one of the more impressive new stand developments when it went up (1994ish) - not that it lasted very long! I can't say I've got knowledge of this but sounds interesting and you could be right. I never managed to go to Filbert Street, and witness that stand in real life. The seats at Stoke are now one of my bug bares....majority of them have gone from red to pink, I'd love to see them replaced with all new red seats!!! The seats are getting replaced over the next 3 summers. Interestingly, the King Power is undergoing some improvements at the moment, and has been improved in recent years too. For any of you who went last season we now have those blue LCFC panels which give the stadium more character, as before it was just sponsorship panels outside. The club have removed our white seating across the whole stadium, with the rumour being they are being newly replaced, as well as the blue seats. You may of noticed the blue seats in our ground over the years have changed colour from royal blue to nearly sky blue. Apparently they are either replacing them entirely with our traditional blue colour, or bleaching them all to make the seats match up in one colour. Sounds like the Brit (the Bet?) is going through some changes as well. The seats at Stoke are now one of my bug bares....majority of them have gone from red to pink, I'd love to see them replaced with all new red seats!!! It's just how the seats are worn over the years I suppose. The Brit's been a ground since 1997 whereas the King Power we moved to in 2002. Both have seen potential wear in seating inside the stadium. I can confirm we are, replacing our white (and) blue seats, returning them both back to their original colours at our ground. It's looking very good. Makes the place smarter inside. Our club have been active in terms of stadium improvements/investments over the years. Not sure if the Brit has had new red/white seats since it's been built, perhaps the club would look into this if they really need doing.

I know we were interested but didn't realise Stoke were too. Both attractive clubs to move to. We've got CL football next season which is magnificent in attracting players, but also players of very high calibre. However, Stoke are an attractive proposition as well, in the fact you are an established Premier League outfit, have a solid good manager in Hughes and he'd be around some quality players, for instance Shawcross who would develop his game greatly, as would Morgan and Huth with their experience individually at centre half. Keane is a talented English CB, I remember his loan spell at Leicester in about 2012/13, and he was decent then. Seemed to have the ability to pick a pass and come out of the defence often to move forward. As mentioned, at set pieces he is very good. From what I've seen he's developed even more at Burnley, and that progression would contiune with a move to either Stoke or Leicester who have PL proven class. We seem intent on his signature but we will wait and see. Leicester are well stocked at CB at the moment but we'd buying some excellent potential in Keane I feel. Although different players/circumstances, Everton purchased English CB John Stones from Barnsley who again showed great potential and is now a comfortable PL defender. Both Stoke and Leicester I think are trying to seek the talent now before he could be worth double his price tag. I nthat sense he would be a perfect foil for Shawcross. Both are okay on the ball but it will allow us to be more solid. I love Muniesa, but I have worries over him being seemingly prone to injury, and Wolly... There is something amiss, and I want him to prove how good he is (and is German) but something is missing that stops him being a "great"(i can't put my finger on it). Yeah I think Keane would really learn from Shawcross, who I think is one of the best CB's in the Premier League. Whether it's Leicester or Stoke, we both have defenders who have valuable experience to help to develop Keane's game. Keane is a decent CB though, so we'd be buying a good defender to start with which always helps of course.

Just got a soft spot for Stoke, but not just that, you are a genuinely good club to join for prospective players.

I thought it was that Wasilewski fella: not what I'd call Premier League class. Yeah we have Wasilewski, who although 35/36 years old, is still a solid option for us. We also have Luis Hernandez who we signed this summer from Sporting Gijon. Alongside him, Liam Moore and Yohan Benalouane. Liam is a Leicester lad, and Yohan we signed from Fiorentina I think. Both haven't featured regularly but good enough CB's IMO. And finally Daniel Amartey who we signed from Copenhagen, he can play CB/CM/RB. Keane could be a good signing for us though because we do not know who could move on this summer defensively. I mean hopefully all of them stay if they are happy to but other clubs might offer more regular game time, we'll see.

One of the key reasons Leicester did so well last season & won the league, was because we had an starting eleven of both battlers and class. Every member of the squad/XI gave their all every match. As a result, the crowd respond and the atmosphere is magnificent. What the players show on the pitch, filters through into the stands. The connection between Leicester fans & players is the best I've ever seen since supporting the club, it goes a long way.
I obviously don't watch Stoke every week, but individually there's some great players in your squad. I feel, on form and with consistency, you are capable of Europe and a top ten finish. I like Hughes, speaks sense and is a good manager. The overall set up at Stoke is good from an overview.

James Tomkins from West Ham has signed for Crystal Palace, 10m. Good signing for Palace, ideal age and a very decent CB. Meanwhile Cresswell and Antonio have both signed new contracts at West Ham. Stoke should have been all over that. Gutted. Surprised there didn't seem to be much competition for him. Proven PL centre back. Similarly, I thought he'd be a smart addition for Leicester but we're pretty well stocked at CB now. I said it before, on an overview I'd say Stoke's recruitment is pretty good given the players you've bought in over the years. Hopefully you get the signings you want this summer.

Have to say when Imbula signed for Stoke in one of his first games, he looked pretty good. If I recall correctly he scored a great goal v Bournemouth at the Dean Court last season. He's had a season to develop in English top level football, so next season he might improve his performances further. As the original post says, he looks like he has potential.

Yes, I think some Championship players should represent England if they are showing an impressive level of ability in the second tier. Although the Championship isn't the top flight as we know, I still feel there is the opportunity for talented players to really shine for their club in that league. I'd like to see second tier players given a chance, with a solid mixture of Premier League players they can learn of and play alongside.

I think Benteke could be potentially, an excellent signing for Stoke, or for any PL club for that matter. Benteke was quality at Villa, he knows where the goal is and how to finish. If he joins another club & regains his form, then someone in this league will have a very good striker on their hands.
Palace are interested. Leicester do not seem to be yet (although we were linked with him about a month ago) but I'd definitely welcome him.

It's been mentioned as a suggestion for Leicester too. Not sure about it to be honest, don't know either way. It depends to an extent of how well an English club would sing it.

Matt Ritchie should have had his pick of the Premier League clubs. Quality footballer. Agree. Bit surprised myself, he's proven to do well in the Premier League with Bournemouth. West Ham were interested but offered 8m I think. Having said this, despite dropping down a league, he's joining a very big club with a high calibre manager in charge. Plus I can see Newcastle gaining promotion to the top flight next season.

In terms of players who are good enough to be included in the England national team squad but haven't been, I'd select: Antonio, Drinkwater, Shawcross, Butland and Noble. Perhaps even Defoe or Deeney.
