For those who remember, weather you liked the guy or not- dionatan was struck with a heart attack while playing some scrimmage game with some friends in brazil earlier today.. he was rushed to hospital but doctors could not save him

The manager obviously thinks he merits a place and if he's worse than the u21's why are they not in the bench instead? Because the manager is going to pick a player he signed over a group of players he had little interest in? sure, and there are aliens from mars living in london, yeti in himalayas, and the americans put down the world trade center by themselves!

Tex should leave, and i would do as much as possible to do it asap. He pretty much wasted almost entire season here, not being used, but at the same time, not allowed to go on loan or transfer. Makes no sense at all! hope he can find a way how to get out of contract and go somewhere where he would be used. For god's sake, he is 22, what is the point of ruining your career by sitting on the bench for a year???

Bring Tex on swap Bards to left back Muni to right and take Arnie off. Muni and Tex are injured are they not. Wilko is one of only 3 defenders left in the squad who is not injured or suspended Think he will play.. Ironically we need a bit of his spirit at this moment in time muni seems to be out for several weeks, possibly months. tex is ready to go, though it looks like the more crap someone plays, the sooner he is gonna be put on the pitch. starting to be curious if this trade to stoke city did any good to tex at all..

Good enough for cover, but I would not sign him permanently. He just hasn't got the physical attributes for a further developement. He is simply too slow, weak and soft for a English game. absolutely agree, finally someone said it openly! this guy can run just a bit faster than my grandma. unfortunately for him and her, she died 9 years ago..

BS. no, he doesn't. and btw, when he finally gets a chance, he will prove he is better player than some of the other defenders that played last night, incl.wollscheid. stronger, quicker, better passer.. you name it.

was hoping someone would say that!  The main reason we conceded 4 yesterday was  because the defenders backed off and gave Citeh too much space - especially down the wings.  Marsh and Pejic never backed off.  Shawcross and Huth or Wolfie compare well with Smith and Bloor, but any combination of Wilson, Cameron, Bardsley, Pieters, Muniesa, Teixeira you like are no where as good as Pejic and Marsh.  We definitely need to strengthen in both those positions.  BTW I made a mistake the sub was John Mahoney Oh my god, I just love these expert comments! So based upon what exactly do you rate Teixeira below or above anyone???

More than convinced now the question is if he can prove it and convince the coaching staff.. Lets hope so mate. From what i gather from someone at Derby the other day he's a little rusty to say the least as yet. He played in a game for the first time in over two months, so for now, lets blame it on that

Should be a done deal as i heard, not sure if this is a transfer or a loan. Anyone with more information? Fair play! You heard anything else? Nothing interesting right now, and i am not a type of person that spreads around BS stories that are just speculations

Where have you heard this? Aren't you Dionny Tex's friend from Slovakia? I wouldn't be surprised if he was loaned, but the assistant manager, Mark Bowen, seemed to indicate that we didn't want to sell him at this stage and would prefer a loan to the Championship so we could recall him if necessary, rather than to the Premier League where he'd have to stay until the summer. But with Shawcross, Wollscheid, Muniesa and Wilson all ahead of him (and with Teixeira now fit too) who knows if we'd be open to a permanent deal if we were offered decent cash? I have quite a few friends, seems like this one had a correct info

training individually for next week, got a medical clearance on friday. hope to see him soon on the pitch, would be great for him to be playing in FA cup's next round. i believe that is sometimes late January, though it still might be bit too early for him.. will see..

damn! If that's true, and Huth is out, we might get to see teixiera make the bench. Tex is injured. 8 weeks i heard. Not true. Hope he gets a chance finally, he was bit rusty during the first leg of u21 playoffs against italy (god knows why;), but was superb in the second game in italy. Hope he gets to show us all finally what kind of a gem stoke city got for a bargain;)

Watching him play for the U21's now (currently 2-1 up V Derby), he looks strong. Sooner or later (and i hope sooner he will get his chance in a league game. And i am convinced he will do a lot better than huth, likely to be the best center back on the team one day..

Just curious- judging after the first 2 league games- how do you determine the best squad without actually rotating a few players around to see who plays better? Lets face the reality- those two games were far from satisfactory, and although it was just 2 games, this is an opportunity for a few players that did not get too much play time to show what they are capable of. Without picking on anyone, or finger pointing on some players, wouldn't you perhaps want to see an alternative to wilson, diouf, nzonzi, arnie.. And i am going to put my head on a guillotine - maybe even bego? And the pre-season training and friendlies achieved what exactly?? Well, obviously, not too much

People are expecting MH to put out his "second strings" tonight and they may well be right. IMO he should put out his strongest available team to get more match time, increase team understanding, which has been sadly lacking, and hand out a warning: "If you can't cut it against Pompey, do you expect to be picked for the ManC match?" It's very important to the club and supporters that there is no slip up for this match and to get into winning ways. Well after being in Germany yesterday, and seeing the game there.. He is at least a first sub, if not a starter at a center back position! Huth is a no brainer- guy can not pass the ball forward, every single possession went through Johny, he completed like 95% of the passes, won all his headers, made 1 error but he made up for it immediately afterwards.. But most of all- johny is left handed, while all other 3 natural center backs are right handed. I would not loan him out at all- it is just a question of short time till he is a regular in starting lineup.. Which will be really useful for next years Wimbledon I'm sure. Well if you see no advantage in having a natural left handed center back playing on left side and right hander on the right side.. Then i don't really see a point of answering to your post..

Glad to see he's doing well. Makes my profile pic look a little less stupid now When he is sold in a few years for like 20 times more than what he was bought for, then you'll look like the smartest person on this forum

Don't forget Teixeira is younger than Muniesa. A season of gym work had and he'll have Wilfred Bony in his back pocket. well, from one extreme to another - someone wrote he was close to excellent, then i also read he was almost worthless and should be loaned to championship.. the guy has not played a game for almost half a year, and back then it was a crapy slovakian league. just give him some time, he'll be more than good. i will be at the munich 1860 and schalke games, can't wait to see him excel..

Good to hear from you again Sopendal. Do you know if Stoke have agreed a fee with his club yet and when do you expect confirmation of the transfer? Yes to the agreement and now being strictly "FIFA and FA official" - the transfer window opens on July 1st if I am not mistaken, so the confirmation, officially, can only happen then.. as for the real life - take it as confirmed
