Undoubtedly He has a reliable back up keeper but he needs a good number one whether that's Travers or some one else Talking about replacing him with a free transfer or an 18 year old hardly gave off reliable back up vibes. Thought it was pretty brutal tbh. Where did he say that? Because I could not see that in the interview I read?

Gallagher was a decent version of Nick Powell Gallagher was one of my favourite Stoke players. He's probably better in my head than he was in real life.

Dick swinging mainly. Or property if it's the right club. Or both. This. Owning a football club, for many, is just about ego. There are fewer and fewer owners around who do it for the love of the club The rich are getting richer and richer in this world, so there are probably more superich who can buy a football club without much impact on their personal finances. That makes the clubs more disposable and vulnerable, as for these folk its just another materialistic plaything, which they can soon get bored of. edit: Players and staff have been paid today btw. I think he was bluffing and trying to spook up fans.

Chelsea now being investigated for financial breaches in 2013. So what will happen about that? New owners have reported these. How come they only surface 10 years after the event? Chelsea called themselves out in the hope that they will get clemency due to it being under a previous regime. They also know they are in the clear from UEFA due to their bullshit 5 year rule that Man City exploited by not picking up the phone for 6 years whenever UEFA rang. It stinks....it really does. They won the PL soon after those financial breaches.

Always had a soft spot for Everton. It does feel like they’re an easy target when the likes of Chelsea literally get away with abusing the system. To be fair Chelsea didn't abuse the system did they? They simply found something of a loophole as Simon Jordan explained a few months ago. So did we to be fair Chelsea now being investigated for financial breaches in 2013. So what will happen about that? New owners have reported these. How come they only surface 10 years after the event?

You can be content with the fact that its the Coates family who own the club, and not always content at the way they have managed it, at the same time.
Put me down for that.

He's had a massive issue with the fans since they first expressed their anger towards him and now he's throwing toys out of the pram big time.
He actually hates the fans and is prepared to hurt them where it most hurts.
Its not looking good at all, unless he's bluffing of course, but we will soon find out!
All 3 Sheffield clubs are currently bottom of their respective leagues (including Sheffield FC)!
Apparently there have been several fans who have approached the club offering amounts ranging from £100-£20k but have been told there is nothing in place to accept their donations.

In my opinion the only ones who’ve got Championship adequate back up that is better than Bonham are the three relegated clubs. 100% The rest are pretty similar to Bonham. Capable keepers but prone to chucking a few in. It is what it is. You look at that list and the only conclusion is that, if we have been negligent with goalkeeping recruitment, then so have at least 15 other teams in this division.

The argument that we were negligent in not signing a keeper, rather than loaning one, is tenuous.
If we had signed up Sarkic, for example, we would probably have been in a worse situation than we are now.

Another pathetic VAR cock up in the Wolves game yesterday, never a pen in a million years, the Newcastle player clearly dived and no contact yet, not overturned. A clear and obvious error actually backed by VAR after 5 minutes of stills from different angles.

Christ calm down. We’ve won 3 in a row for the first time in God knows how long. If we can keep it up that we’re winning a couple or 3 a month that’s more than good enough in this shit league. It's the Championship, not much different to how it has ever been. That's what it is. What do you call League 2 btw if this is shit? in response, to the post, we will definitely lose games between now and the New year, in such an unpredictable league I wouldn't expect any different.

He could appeal and it might end up as a three month ban. Or he could be a man and accept the penalty, which he deserves. It's an illness, people like you don't seem to understand this. Being considered an illness doesn't mean it should be immune from any punishment, for something that is clearly outside the laws of the game. He will get a lot of support, he will get considerably more support than most others who are addicted to gambling, and let's hope that is helpful.

Mahoney was brilliant with Hudson with Salmons and Robertson on the wings and Greenhoff and Big John up front
That was the dream team for me, Josh doing all the donkey work there, but he was a very skilful player too, very good passer of the ball and had a great shot on him.
One of my all time Stoke faves. 282 games wasn't bad in his 10 seasons for Stoke
He was good for Middlesboro and Swansea when he left too and played at a good level until around 35.

Allen not in Swansea squad tonight.
Our midfield has not been any better or worse since Allen left, anyway it seems like he's hardly ever fit to play these days.

I think you could tell that he always carried that sadness with him throughout his life. On the pitch was maybe the only opportunity he had to put it to one side for a few moments. I think it was incredibly tough for him.

This is all stuff coming from the top (Mr Starmer) in my opinion. Nandy is well intentioned anytime I've seen her speak in the past. This is very much Starmer telling the MPs to hold this position in my eyes. A bit like he did with the union strikes too. Then they are weak MP’s who don’t stand up for their beliefs. I don’t care if they actually think one way or another, if they tow a party line that I disagree with. I have more respect for someone who believes Israel is right/unions suck and acts accordingly than someone who doesn’t, but acts the same anyways. My point would be there is little scope for MPS standing up for the beliefs anymore and sustaining a political career. Its pretty obvious that standing up for beliefs outside the 'party line' are a good way to cut your political career short. Rory Stewart's book is pretty damning of the system in that respect and he was very loyal to the party line, but as soon as he even thought about stepping out of synch it was basically made clear top him that he would be a gonner and there is no way back for him (unless he severely compromised his beliefs) and that is someone who is engaged with politics, independent minded and would definitely have something to offer. But I would further argue that party lines are based on policies which attract the least bad press, or least risk policies.

This is very much Starmer telling the MPs to hold this position in my eyes. A bit like he did with the union strikes too. That's exactly what it is mate. Lammy has been towing the same line over the weekend too. As I said, they're a bunch of spineless, cowards, that disgust me. While I categorically agree with you on the moral front, the fact is if she answered Yes to that question, the whole MSM would be writing Labour off as Anti-Semitic and Labour would go down the same hell hole as Corbyn. I'm not saying that is right, nor that this would equate to the Corbyn situation but that is how politics is currently working in our country. We are in a fucking mess politically. Anyone who just says what they think and is ready to go with it gets ejected from the whole process, see Rory Stewart, Corbyn, Bridgen etc, etc (that is not to say I'm backing any of these btw) I was listening to an interview with Stewart yesterday and he was saying he wouldn't advise anyone he remotely cared for to go anywhere near politics in this country. It's a complete dead end if you have any human values. Thats the place we are at. The only way in at the moment seems to be the spineless route and that is a disaster for this country. the political choice is dire.

I'm unable to watch any videos this guy produces as his stupid grating voice makes me want to commit genocide. The content is very good but I too find it unlistenable. He does weird things with his voice intonation that I find tormenting to listen to. Each to their own.

It feels like the end of an era really with the passing of Bobby. A true gentleman of football. He's left us with such wonderful memories. I was lucky enough to see him play many times, in an era where there was genuine warmth for him whichever team you supported. As a kid I managed to get his autograph 3 or 4 times over the years, and I can still remember the thrill of standing next to him while he took the time to sign my autograph book and programme. A man of genuine humility. 'our Bobby' wasn't he? RIP.

Was it meant to be on TV? I wonder if that comes into it? i.e. pressure for the game to go ahead. People have been sent home from work early because of the rains here in South Yorkshire so there is no excuse for such a late call. Hopefully not many Ipswich fans tried to make a go of it. They sold 2,200 which is excellent I'd have been leaving it as late as possible for sure...... Apparently a few of them couldn't get out of Suffolk anyway, but most of the 2000 already in Rotherham by the time it was postponed. A night out in Rotherham it is then.... Poor things! Apparently Rotherham couldn't call it off because there is no issue in the ground, it was the Police who made the call based on surrounding areas so the club cant really be criticised for the late call I suppose?

You have to feel for the Ipswich fans who will surely be not far off I thought earlier today that this would happen when I saw the fixture pop up, it's monsooned it down all day in Yorkshire crazy that they wouldn't make an earlier call really....... People have been sent home from work early because of the rains here in South Yorkshire so there is no excuse for such a late call. Hopefully not many Ipswich fans tried to make a go of it. Just been told that the river next to the ground was flooding at 2.30pm!!!
