How long can we go unbeaten for? Till 2024 would be my serious ambition. there is nobody we face inbetween now and then we would expect us to lose against.

Christ calm down. We’ve won 3 in a row for the first time in God knows how long.
If we can keep it up that we’re winning a couple or 3 a month that’s more than good enough in this shit league.

Yeah i know and i get it, but we have just played 3 very good championship sides and beaten them all. No reason we cant not lose the next 10/11

Just put a couple of quid on us winning the league at 151/1.
The bookies are daft.

The league is very tightly packed points wise so we need to steadily improve our GD. As they say "one game at a time" and don't get carried away. Plenty of ups and downs to come. It will be interesting to see how we cope with some of the teams who visit us and park the bus and rely on breakaways. In recent years we have struggled against them. Quietly optimistic😉

On the face of it, after cardiff we have a prolonged run against weaker teams up to the new year.
It never works out like that though. So we have to take the opportunity we have now. Confidence is high, we've started a run, hopefully they'll fight tooth and nail to stay unbeaten, keep more clean sheets. Now is the time to go on the run that will get us in play off contention.

We deserved each of the last 3 wins but Sunderland hit the post, Leeds skied a penalty and Boro hit the bar at 1.0 What would be a huge improvement is if we can turn crappy 1.0 home defeats into draws and keep defeats down to a minimum, we have lost half our matches up to now If in the next 14 games we've won 7,drawn 4 and lost 3 that would be fantastic

It's the Championship, not much different to how it has ever been. That's what it is. What do you call League 2 btw if this is shit? in response, to the post, we will definitely lose games between now and the New year, in such an unpredictable league I wouldn't expect any different.

Now we're not going to lose another game.

Don't forget this is Stoke, we are capable of losing to Sheff Wed, QPR etc, and we are capable of beating top six sides.
We could go on a long run of wins, or a long run of losses.
Like I said, this is Stoke,

We could actually do with a few bore draws thrown in. We look like Blackburn last year, who either won or lost.
Currently we're sitting on won 6, drawn 1, lost 7.

Yesterday's game could have gone either way had they equalised and Leeds if the pen had been scored . You need a rub of the green, taking nothing away, we took our chances and played well. Won't happen every week and way too often we were the better team and lost. Be nice to go unbeaten the next 2 and push towards the top 8

This is the Championship! Stop thinking too far ahead and avoid disappointment! On to the next game and let's hope we can sustain our progress up the league.

The standard of football in all the leagues is way better now than its ever been. There is a big gap between Championship football and Premier League football but that's because the Premier League is so much better than the old First Division not because the second tier has got worse. If anything the quality of football in the Championship is as good as the pre premiership First Division barring the very best teams of the day. You've never got over the fact that we aren't one of the big boys anymore and you keep banging on about how everything associated with Stoke being shit. The real issue isn't what's out there it's just that nothing can live up to your ego.

Yeah i know and i get it, but we have just played 3 very good championship sides and beaten them all. No reason we cant not lose the next 10/11 It's not unuusual for us to do well against teams that we perceive as "very good championship sides". We often win against them. It's what we do when we play the not so good championship sides that's the real test. We soon forget after a few good games what it was like to struggle, and so we go out and take for granted that we are way too good for those lowlife teams. Then we frequently lose the matches and lose any momentum which we've just created. And right on cue we have games vs Coventry, Plymouth, QPR and Sheff W'day coming up, games which will define whether we have improved or we're just going back to the same old mediocre Stoke teams of the last six years.

The reason it’s so competitive is because everyone is so bad. People just don’t like hearing something they like is a bit shit. It’s got nothing to do with ego. That’s just hilarious. I went to a league one game yesterday and it was absolute bilge. It was only enjoyable because it was Vale losing, I was with 2 Vale supporting cousins and it was free to watch. And in January I went to a Crewe game, again two sides just lumping it. Awful awful football.

We must be down below the old Ansells Sunday league by now.

That’s why it’s so bloody frustrating we’ve so bad.
