Aldi's 'Oaties' are my tea accompanying biscuit of choice.
First heard of the Elite Chocolate Kimberley biscuit (Irish delicacy) mentioned earlier in the thread a couple of months ago. Don't know what all the fuss is about, especially at £12+ a tin. My missus raves about them. They're like shit wagon wheels, which are already shit enough.

Asked a Norwich season ticket holding mate about him and he said Gibson was...
Alright.
Did add that most Norwich fans didn't want him as first choice centre back.

I’m not even close to being ITK, but have a funny feeling he’ll resign on demands that suit us (not him) towards the end of the window. Wouldn’t be surprised to see him being allowed to join the squad for preseason either. Not on the back of Schumachers comments he won't.

Gong gizzard at the civic. Don’t really listen to em but wow. Can’t really say what they are apart from an essemble of blood good musicians. First bit was like listening to Ed wynne with hawkwind. Then blues n god knows what. I’ll have listen more but think they re going be on the best live list. King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are one of the best bands in the last 10 years. Album wise, there's so much to go at but I'd start with 'Nogagon Infinity' and 'I'm in your mind fuzz'

Argent were booked to play Wolstanton Grammar School just as Hold Your Head Up hit the charts and they still did the gig. We never had that sort of thing at Sandbach School. Did you go to the gig? Duffy (remember her?) was booked to play Central Station in Wrexham (not the train station, some little club holding a few 100 people) the week Mercy went to No 1 and she still did the gig. Probably on the same tour as she played the Ruby Lounge in Manchester. I'd bought tickets for probably a tenner or not far off, by the time the gig came round she'd gone massive and I shifted it on for 70 quid a couple of days before on an ebay auction, back when you could sell them that way, as I couldn't make it. thought her first album was great, love the title track and 'Warwick Avenue'

The Zombies at the RNCM in Manchester.
What a great venue and another one to tick off the list. Sound was really, really good.
Band were great. Doubt I'll ever see a keyboard player live as good as Rod Argent again. Absolutely outstanding. Lead singer was in good voice as well. No mean feat at 78.
Some bits were overblown with unnecessary guitar solos etc but they looked like they were having fun and musicianship was of the highest order. Some of my favourite gigs in recent years have been by artists in their later years. They do know what they're doing when they get to a certain age!

Love Gazelles but finding the sole wears far too easily at the ball of the feet. Same with a pair of Broomfields. Also have a pair of Hamburgs but find them really flat and don't offer much support. Won't be buying any more Adidas trainers sadly.

Ducks Ltd, Babe Rainbow and half of Crumb at New Century in Manchester last night. 5 bands from Canada, New York and Oz amongst others for just over 20 quid (didn't see the first 2)
Was about 25% full for the start of Ducks Ltd which was unusual to see, not been to a gig that empty for a long time. Thankfully it began to fill up. All the bands were great after slow starts, Ducks being the pick of the three.

Just back from Girls Aloud at the AO Arena.
Yes it was an all round hideously expensive night, with shit mobile signal and awful pre gig bar queues. That said, I'd have paid double to see that. Straight into my top 5 gigs of all time. Just banger after banger with the odd album track thrown in so people can go to the bar and have a piss lol. Production was first class. Numerous lovely tributes to Sarah Harding.
By far the loudest crowd I've ever been in. Can't imagine what seeing Taylor Swift or Olivia Rodrigo would be like compared to that. Absolutely ear splitting.
Minor criticism would be playing Love Machine and Biology too early, two of the best pop songs of the 2000's.
Had to tell my 10 year old daughter, whose first proper gig it was, that not all gigs will be as good as that..... They definitely won't.

Someone on here within the last two weeks called out that Jared was leaving. WHO was it? Are they an ITK? Look forward to see who the new person is because Jared raised the bar with signing players like Burger, Manhoef and Junho. It was me mate. Was walking the dog and saw a few youth players jumping into taxis and then saw Jared wheeling a huge suitcase across the car park and stood talking to security and another bloke, then jumped in a taxi himself. The rest is history. Right now I'm more intrigued by what was in the suitcase. It was huge. If I left my job I'd walk out with a carrier bag... Very appropriate username

If he's the one who scouted Bae, Burger and Manhoef, this isn't a great decision.
Yes, I appreciate it may be that he also brought in Wesley, Ciaran Clark etc.

Only one deserved winner there. Well done usyk. Much better quality. Knows how to pick his punches. Crazy power. What a fighter. More focus and less fucking about from Fury and he wins that imo. He'll probably save that for the second fight.

I get that is was crazy to privatise a commodity which is a natural monopoly and that the water companies have trousered the profits rather than reinvest them. However, it seems to be that at the core of this problem, and its the same for greenhouse gases, is that there are simply too many f*cking people these days. I just checked, the year I was born there were 53 million people in the UK and today there are 70 million. So we have Victorian sewage system unable to cope with 17 million extra people stuffing themselves with super-sized portions of fast food and sweet drinks who are then going out pissing and shitting everywhere. It's little wonder the system can't cope! Welcome to the board, Rishi!
