Heard a very concerning story over the weekend of a member of staff who worked in some kind of sales role for the club. He'd built up a large commission as he was saving for a house I believe, anyway as he's coming to the time to cash in the commission the club have offered him a new role, with a very minuscule pay rise but told him words to the effect that he either accepts the role or there will be no job for him. So he's accepted the role and because it's started a new contract, they've somehow managed to null and void the commission he'd earned. The club is fucking rotten. Had this with an employee who was helping himself to holiday pay he wasn't entitled to and let go. We were contractually obliged to pay his commission still, despite what he had done unless he had signed a contract waiving any commission or agreeing a change in it. We were still legally obliged to pay him what was owing and we didn't press charges, just informed the company he applied to of what had taken place who he was sure they would employ him. Despite being rivals, were on decent terms and they didnt. Any commission earned had to contractually be paid we were informed

I think Simon King has a graduated experience for the role he is in, with WBA for 4/5 years I think. Onto your second point with reference to local staff which is in the plural. I’m only aware that Adrian Hurst has left the club after many years service. I don’t know the gentleman, the manner in which he or reasons why, to that end I can’t comment. As you’ve used the plural (because they) and alleged “they” weren’t “yes men” I imagine you mix in those circles that have related first hand knowledge. I’ll understand if you’re reluctant to, or can’t expand upon the reasons for their leaving for reasons of privacy. I’ve had dealings with the community through work over the years and met Adrian amongst others on many occasions. I can’t believe they have let him go and from others I have spoken to there are lots of good people who have left since he came in. The only thing I was told was that morale is at an all time low and everyone is watching their back in a toxic environment. Yep, a friend has recently left the club and he has said pretty much the same. Sounds like a vile place to work away from the football side.

Unless you know this to be true, with evidence, you shouldn't be peddling it. This sort of thing does the 'Family' no favours, & puts them in a bad light. You may/could be leaving yourself open to a case of libel. I've no reason to not believe my source.

What experience do MON and Mowbray have in a DoF role? Mowbray should have been approached for the manager role. Mowbray shouldn't be approached for any role whatsoever. Mowbray and Mark Venus, his trusted assistant, have links to the Bet365 "click". I'm continually surprised he's never been approached for the job.

Pay isn't great I get that but you know that when you take any job As for commission, it has to be paid unless agreed otherwise Just been talking to a staff member actually re a parking pass for tomorrow , she enjoys it there but wishes was paid more as I guess many people do in all walks.

Back tomorrow afternoon for the game tomorrow. I knew/know quite a few of the catering staff and some have been there for years. Someone we know in the main office as well who was chatting to earlier. They seem a happy enough bunch . Every workplace has the moaners I guess . I think our ticketing and hospitality staff are brilliant

This is the only way forward remaining, countless managers, players or playing styles will not fix us. I’ve always thought this, but the rot within the club started with the Coates family and can be traced right back to our demise from the prem. there was absolutely no reason a stable club as we once were to fall as far as we have done without the ownership being at the core of it. They have done great, but they are now the problem and things will only get worse until they either sell entirely, or John Coates gets out of the club and gets someone to run it for him. People need to realise the common denominator here How can you say the rot started with the Coates family. We were staring down relegation when they took over from the Iceland consortium and had the recent memory of being the third best team out of Crewe, Vale, Stoke. Without the Coates' there would have been no Premiership. The way forward is to be patient, remember we have won ONE real trophy in over 150 years of trying - what makes you think that getting rid of the only people who are even remotely interested in seeing us get back up is going to solve anything and not cause a whole lot more problems that have far worse consequences and might well be terminal?

We had, and have, absolutely every condition necessary to be an established, long-term top-half Premier League club. We should never have been relegated. How have they allowed it to come to this? If they take us down to the third division with their resources they’ll have to go down as some of the most incompetent people ever to own a football club. It’s an absolute joke This. Strange how so many it seems point at just 2007-17, yet seemingly ignore the Coates family's overall record at the club. They also overlook 150 years of accomplishments. We are performing right at average for Stoke. One day we will be back at the top table, and a while later, we will be right back where we are. Getting rid of a dedicated owner who has plowed millions into the club is not going to speed up the process.

So Senojbor should believe your anonymous thirdhand report rather than what he heard from the horses mouth? I have seen excellent companies that went above and beyond for employees and the vast majority were extremely happy, but still there were extremely negative reports circulating on messageboards. Frankly, I don't give a toot if a Stoke employee is happy or not, that's their problem.... my problem is for Stoke to start winning!! C'mon Stoke!
