I’m not saying he’s the answer to all our problems but how can this guy not get on the pitch?! Literally our only goal threat from midfield. Burger, Laurent and Thompson all awful today then Schuey brings on a loanee that’s only been at the club a day! Surely Baker will leave if someone comes in and I wouldn’t blame him

Agreed, it probably wouldnt have made a difference but the guy is on form and can actually score.
We dont have many goals in our team so we need more threats from midfield and Baker provides that

I like Baker. I’d use him from the start.
Maybe something is wrong with him as a person? Performances wise he should be playing (?)

He doesn't play because he wants to play walking football. |

Like all our midfielders he can be quite good .... unfortunately you can never really be very sure when this is going to occur.

His main attribute is his ability to shoot outside the area. Hats off to Watford today after we started off brightly first 15 mins we were fairly bullied off the park today. |

The three in midfield today were all awful.
Baker couldn’t have been worse, and he does offer a goal threat which the three starters really don’t.
He should have been used.

He needs to go somewhere they have a manager like MON who’s happy to play walking football. Baker is a joker in the pack, capable of fashioning a great shot on goal out of nothing. He's also a very good passer from deep. The problem is that like Laurent, his work rate is poor, he isn't a battler, and goes MIA. For that reason he isn't a starting player for me in a Schuey team, but worth bringing on as an impact sub. I'd certainly keep him over Laurent, but if we need to get players off the wage bill then I wouldn't be reaching for the hanky if he left. |
