Really poor if it’s a loan, surely we could have got some money for him? Yeah, was hoping for 500k. But just shows how desperate we are to rejig the midfield. Nixon's talk of £2.5m always sounded like fantasyland stuff

Really poor if it’s a loan, surely we could have got some money for him? Believed to be on good money so potentially 500k saved on wages and a loan fee? Last year of his contract. Another likeable chap but I'm not sad he is going particularly

Blackburn aren't flush with cash, are they? So who knows about loan fees...
Maybe it's just about shedding his contract and giving us more scope to rejig. His deal will doubtless be decent, even if it was signed on improved terms when we were at our most FFP-challenged, when we thought we were protecting ourselves. That turned out well.

His contract is up after this season so the loan fee is as good as a fee Depends on what the loan fee is I suppose, can’t imagine it would be anything major. Then there’s the chance we’ll still be covering part of his wages. By the sounds of it we’ve been asking for too much for him all summer and now we’ve had to accept a loan just to get him out of the door.

I don’t mind Baker but it’s clear something has gone on behind the scenes, I think he’ll be a standout player for Blackburn personally.

Good eye for goal, good set piece taker but he doesn’t do enough in the game to warrant a place in the team.
Surprised we haven’t been able to get some money for him but happy for him to leave.

As long as it frees up a space for a replacement it’s good, getting a fee would have been ideal but perhaps not possible.

Surely they’ve got plenty of flexibility having sold Szmodics and Wharton for good fees in the last 18 months or so. Their issue was the Venkys getting money out of India.

Where on Earth did £2.5Million ever come from? Unless that's what his contract for a year was worth...gulp.

Unless that's what his contract for a year was worth...gulp. it was an inflated arrangement rumoured where we took Travers they took Baker and we valued them both at £2.5M. Don't know what their position is with Travers but for us it would have been an instant £2.5M FFP profit.

If we buy a high potential young striker, I'll be happy. You can't guarantee success but you have to at least try. Loan not so much.

If all three go we’re left with:
Thompson Burger Moran Sidibe
Who are fit.
Lawal and Pearson who are out for a bit.
Still seems overkill to get the Japanese lad and Cundle imo.

There’s no way they’re letting them go without replacements, I see Seko for Laurent n Cundle for Baker while promoting Sol for Johnson🔴⚪️
