The only sensible conclusion other than him being injured is he's off as he should be playing.

Like a lot of our players Baker blows hot or cold and can be inspirational one game and disappear completely the next. However, having secured the points for us V Coventry with a goal of real quality, and a peach of a set piece to open the scoring v Carlisle he was then completely overlooked & ignored on Saturday at Watford for Moran who literally met up with his team mates a few hours before in the team hotel. Baker has already contributed far more than any other Stoke player so far this season. Obviously the manager does not fancy him one little bit and it would clearly suggest that he has no future at the club whatsoever.

I find Baker really interesting. He’s clearly got a goal threat about him, but this isn’t the first manager to involve him then bin him off. In fact, I think they all did here?

MON never binned him off he's ideal for his slow paced style of football. The other two have wanted to play high intensity football which is something that Baker doesn't seem like he could do even if he wanted to. He's quite low energy and lacking in physicality.

I suspect he will be gone by the end of the window. We can only hope. There seems no end to the negativity and stupidity to be witnessed on this board. Keyboard warriors with nothing to say except idiotic comments about players I dare say they’ve only watched a few times on tv. Give me strength!!

Well I've watched him play many times and can only hope he'll be gone by the end of the window. It's hardly being a keyboard warrior hoping a player who they don't rate leaves the club.

To be fair, Baker’s never been prolific at any club in any league. 12 seasons as a professional footballer with 10 different clubs in 4 different leagues. Best season haul was 10 goals in Dutch Eridivise. I know we’re not flush with goals but can anyone really say he’s irreplaceable if a sensible offer with received?
We all know he goes missing too often and despite what form he shows in one match, more often than not is followed by a drab half-hearted follow up no matter who the opponent. He doesn’t seem to be any sort of leader on or off the pitch.
I wouldn’t be upset in the slightest if he left before this window closed.

Not sure it does Lewis Baker is the polar opposite of what their style of play demands. Even DJ is livelier than him. Needs to go to a team who don’t play high intensity football like the MON team he signed for.

That attempt from the halfway line on Saturday. Jesus Christ, I had Charlie Adam flashbacks. Then, the shanked cross at the death really put the lid on it.

We said at the time it looked like a big fuck you to the management. All it was really missing was him turning to the bench and giving them the finger.

To be fair the Albion keeper was daydreaming at the time and I think Charlie would also have tried. Unfortunately, Baker's effort was worse than some of the kids in the half-time target game.
