I mean its getting to a point where they'll think what actually is the point.
From their side they'll think we've chucked millions and millions at it. We've kept season ticket prices on frozen prices forever. We gave them 10 years in the prem. We pay away travel.....you get my drift. Yet the fans are never happy and give us dogs abuse.
The fans obviously have a slighly different view of it.
If I was in their position I'd definitely be thinking long and hard as to whether it was worth the grief. Wouldn't you?

I don't think there would be a buyer.

If I was in their position I’d think about getting a DoF/TD with decent credentials and evidence of success even if it’s at a slightly lower level than ours. I’d also have people on my side of the interview table who can smell bullshit a mile off.

I don't think there would be a buyer. 'Fading football club in a city time has forgotten with enormous burgeoning debt seeks benevolent owner' Aye you're probably right. But its fast becoming very toxic now. There has to be a breaking point at some time. Maybe Peter is working on another golden shares scenario like he did with the Vikings? 😉

I don't think there would be a buyer. 'Fading football club in a city time has forgotten with vast and burgeoning debt seeks benevolent owner' And if there was, the last ten years show that the odds are massively in favour of them being a dodgy consortium with an unnamed backer who load the club up with lots of mystery debt.

Just to clarify. I don't want them to sell. I just want them to get the senior management sorted and get us on a proper path. Rather than this crazy random manager after manager bollox. Build it and we will follow. Drag us into the new millennium even if it is 24 years late.

Can't see it at all
The price alone and they are so deep into the club with investment.
Personally wouldn't want to see it happen

Personally wouldn't want to see it happen But when you've got nigh on 10bn in the metaphorical bank yoos can afford to have a rather large write off for your own sanity? Potential tax friendly write off for 365's benefit as well?

I was having this discussion with my son today. Denise may see the effect that it is having on her brother & may tell him to get rid. Story is, that she has never forgiven the fans for hounding her father, all those years ago. I said that John should get someone in to head it up, & be answerable directly to him. A senior football man to do a review of the complete set-up, & suggest the changes that should be made. He could also be a mentor to Schumacher, in this poor period that he is going through. I'd suggest Michael O'Neill, with his football knowledge at a senior level, plus his accountancy qualifications.

Has anyone mentioned TP yet?
Appreciate he’s probably too busy sorting the Middle East out (knows how to respond in a crisis), he’s probably also being lined up to sort out world poverty (knows how to operate on a budget), but will someone please mention TP, it’s like he never existed ffs

Is obviously not about money to them, yep but works both ways . Why sell in the first place? Last thing we need is another Mr Chu from Hong Kong buying us like we've seen with some clubs.

Can't see it at all The price alone and they are so deep into the club with investment. Personally wouldn't want to see it happen What assets have they got - the ground and training ground? Loans galore? It would be a very expensive purchase for anyone interested to buy them out. I personally don’t want them gone. I think they genuinely care, Jon is a fan, a big fan. I think it’s hurting him how bad it is right now. It’s just not going right and hasn’t been for a while. They’ve made some poor decisions but they’ve been taken for a ride a few times as well. Maybe they’re too close to it all and let the heart rule the head. Maybe they need to be a bit more ruthless with who comes in and how they operate. We’ve got a culture of failure that has become embedded within the club. It’s a long way back for us, it might be even further come the end of May.

JC just said they are in for another 25m next year so I don’t believe there is any intent at all to divest quite the reverse a fixed determination to eventually get it right.

Who the frig would buy us?
The owners just need to appoint someone who has some kind of idea how to run a football club.

As soon as PC dies, I think they’ll sell, especially if Stoke are league one at that point. The value of the club will plummet however the club has fantastic infrastructure (thanks PC) and a good sized fanbase.
Stoke is not the Coates family and their work in the community also won’t just go away because they stop owning the club.
If investors can see something in a league one Tractor Boy outfit, they’d find a lot in SCFC.
