I used to quite dislike Kitson, but I don't now.
The man seems to be suffering from mental problems. Most of his issues at the club back then were to do with what was in his head, rather than anything to do with his ability.
Even now, ten years after he signed for us, he bears a huge grudge. How many times has he gone on about how much he hated his time at Stoke and his former manager, both using his own name and the Secret Footballer pseudonym? None of his stories quite add up (Pulis hated him from day one, but then rehabilitated him twice after that?), but he keeps going back to it again and again. Perhaps he's now found himself at the end of his career, still unsure of where it all went wrong.
I hope that he somehow gets the closure that he sorely needs. It's getting sad.

I was always reasonably sympathetic towards Kitson but, err, you attacked someone with a pair of scissors? You need medical attention Nah. Tome deserved it... according to the wankstains!

But what about all the charity work Pulis does... How does Pulis come out of that particular story badly? Some usual suspects really showing their arses on this thread! Careful you don't come across as a rimmer here or you may be showing yours ........

He never does though does he and that’s my point I suppose it was James Beatties fault also?...yep of course it was as he was another bad egg apparently To be fair to Pulis, he is probably the unluckiest man in the world when it comes to the people he has to work with. And all that stuff about fraud, assault and blackmail, forget about it. The money was just resting in his account. He should have copied his mate Harry and put it all in an account in the dog's name.

Many people in football are complete wankers of one sort or another that you would find hard to like in person. Pulis and Kitson are just two of them. At least Pulis did some things worthy of the utmost admiration in his time at the club and was hugely respected, if not loved. Kitson did not and was not.

It's not a zero sum game. It is possible for two tossers to fall out with each other. In fact, I'd guarantee they will at some point. While we're on the subject, what did you make of Pulis defrauding millions of pounds from Crystal Palace? I don't think I've asked you. I have a shortlist of four answers that I think you might give.

Never understand how anyone could hate Tone. Apart from his remarkable on field success in returning the club to the promised land and keeping it there then Europe and our only ever FA Cup Final after nearly a quarter of a century washing aimlessly round the old divisions 2 and 3 under 16 different managers I also find him to be an extremely personable fella. But there you go, nowt so queer as folk!

Yeah, clearly. I've only got one first hand memory of Dave Kitson, that he was a miserable prick that didn't have time for fans.

It was obvious from day 1 that they didn't really get on. I'm surprised he stayed at Stoke longer than a season tbh.

Nobody comes out of the situation well.
Pulis seemed to sign him because he was tall and he'd heard of him - he wasn't' any kind of fit for his system (something he made something of a habit of) and when he did actually start to play well dropped him for no discernible reason.
Kitson is a whiny sod who seemed to go out of his way to rub people up the wrong way and wouldn't take responsibility for his own shortcomings or the direction his career took.
Either way, attacking someone with scissors is absolutely fucking mental.

Surprised Palace haven't had a statue built to Tone rather than running a court case to get his hard earned bonus back, he saved their sorry arses and thanks to him they are still 'larging it' in the Prem to this day!

You mean the loyalty bonus he defrauded from them with the story of a made up property deal? You're right. It is amazing they tried to recover a very large sum of money from an employee's fraud. What is the world coming to? More importantly, that's d) crossed off the list.

In fairness Parish has trousered $300m of Premier League media rights money since Pulis parted the parish of Palace, while he may be publicly outraged that Pulis tried to walk off with £3.7m to which it seems he wasn't entitled he must be privately pleased Pulis popped up to save their bacon.

"Pulis is a cunt".
"What about Palace".
"What about Gillingham".
"James Beattie"

Not been attacked with the scissors, but he should have brought the football issue up in the post match debrief back at the training ground. The Basics of man management isn't it?

If Dave Kitson was mental enough to attempt to stab another employee with a pair of scissors for no particular reason he should have been sacked, arrested and charged.
Fair play to Pulis on this one. Not only did he not allow this to get into the public domain, he clearly didn’t take it personally and still picked him 22 times the following season.

Not only did he not allow this to get into the public domain, he clearly didn’t take it personally and still picked him 22 times the following season. He probably accidentally slipped and on his way from falling over, accidentally grabbed a pair of scissors trying to break his fall and almost stabbed Tone, completely accidental. Then the other players jumped in to make sure he didn't hit the floor.

lucky our recruitment is now the envy of the world after the changes implemented, eh wez That’s a different argument mate The bloke was vindictive and once you’d crossed him you were finished, he takes nobody even questioning him regardless how trivial but keeps it all on a level to make him look in a good light ....some see it some don’t If Kitson had said these things about Mark Hughes he’d of been correct and all Hughes fault but for some reason it never the fault of Pulis Strange that Add to that, TP hadn't a clue when handling the likes of Tuncay, Kitson. If the players weren't in the group (and granted they were good types) that he considered his "muckers" he showed his failings of inflexibility and man management.
