It's appalling from a labour front bench spokesman . Being as ill prepared as that for such an important interview is unprofessional to say the least. At a time When Corbyn is struggling to gain some credibility for his policies it's very very damaging. I disagree. It's nothing. She forget a sheet of paper. I'm sure the electorate don't see it that way , she's become a laughing stock

Corbyn offers to put 10,000 Police back on the streets, after the Tories have trashed 22,500 jobs in seven years of government and there's a page and a half of grown men on here talking about Diane Abbott's crappy interview as though it's mortally offended them. Bloody hilarious What's totally hilarious is that anybody sane would think for a second the opposition front bench are anything but incompetent fools, or do you think Abbott is a winner who was just unlucky today. But then you think about the incompetent fools in government like boris

She tried to deflect blame onto the Conservatives. She looked like she has had her ears bent by the labour leadership, I recognise that look after remembering the look of friends of mine just coming back from the headmaster after a severe rollocking. Mmmm.. she keeps deflecting from the topic in hand. The fact that she said that she did talk about the figures but no press releases alluded to this. By all means they want to talk about the police topic but they want to deal with the issue in hand first but she keeps deflecting it. The good thing is that the Daily Politics are firm on not letting the Conservative representative jump on this and keep it on track. She is floundering and has never been an asset to Labour. Yes I caught that, the Tories had a bald bull dog waiting in the wings to pounce but he seemed a little flaky on the crime numbers himself when pressed, perhaps he was deliberately flaky since they didn't seem to stand up his case. On a tangential point why are the Tories not advancing any policies this election? It was after all they who called it so they must have something to say. It seems to be all staged photo opportunities and parroted slogans, and pointing out the obvious handicap of Mr. Corbyn's leadership. I know Mrs May is very wooden and her cabinet is far from dynamic but the electorate deserve much better. I am thinking of going LibDem, I certainly would if Nick Clegg was still leader. I'm not sure why they are not advancing any policies yet.. perhaps they are awaiting for Labour to "jump the gun" with releasing theirs, view public perception and engineer either policies or responses to their advantage.... pretty much how I see the Brexit negotiations going. I will hold judgement on the Conservatives until I see firm pledges (I am admittedly a traditional Tory voter but I didn't vote for them last time). Labour's policies seem very haphazard and rushed to the public without going firm on the detail to stand up against scrutinty. The Lib Dems unfortunately are a no go, especially with Farron as the head. They seem to to be trying to be populist but missing the the right notes with what the public want in my humble opinion.

He is a populist MP who publically acts the fool, however he is very shrewd in his office dealings despite his many gaffes. Abbott however is a hypocrite who cries one thing and does the opposite herself. The only reason why she is so far advanced is her relationship with Corbyn over the years and not because of any noted policy or practice.

If Labour get in, it'll be like the 3 Stooges running the country. McDonnell, Abbott, and Corbyn would be more hilarious than Curly, Larry and Moe.

I think you're completely overreacting, and if i'm honest seizing upon this minor gaffe as the first own goal in a very positive Labour campaign. The reality is she forgot her financial datasheet, it's really nothing. The fact that this is even news is more than mildly disturbing. It's appalling from a labour front bench spokesman . Being as ill prepared as that for such an important interview is unprofessional to say the least. At a time When Corbyn is struggling to gain some credibility for his policies it's very very damaging. Even more so when Sky look at the numbers and pick up these figures assume the police are are paid the same in 2021/22 as they are now so actually Dianne should have been saying £350,000 was the cost

In Boris' case it was delegation to the point of dereliction. Unless there was a shameless self-promotional zip wire opportunity to strangle his blonde nutsack on.

It's pretty basic stuff, how many more police are you going to employ, how much will it cost, where will the money come from? That she needs to read the answers from a sheet of paper is pretty shit, but then to forget the paper.....
Shes thick as pig shit, incompetent and borderline racist and Corbyn wants her as his home secretary to his PM. That he was dipping his wick in it shows a lack of judgement but to want her in high office shows what a cock he is as well.

Whats important? 8-| I think it's important that a politician asked about her own departments policies knows at least the basics. Saying lets have more police it'll be wonderful just doesn't cut it with me I'm afraid. Anyone with an ounce of common sense knows she's a car crash waiting to happen, yet Corbyn made her Shadow Home Secretary. Although to be fair he was struggling to fill even his most important posts as most of his own MP's view him as a useless waste of space. Vote Labour.

She's a liability to the party plain and simple. She is so quick to play the race card and accuses racism at any opportunity when in all reality she's a white british male basher (hypocrite) and because she's black she gets away with it, plain and simple it's true. The problem is the electorate know this and if she were to stand in any constituency outside London she'd be binned. You can't defend the undefendable. What's more, she is plain and simply slow, she tries to come across eloquently in her speech but sounds so dumb talking as slow as she does it's cringe worthy. Embarrassing she's made the front bench and doesn't say much for the labour party in its current state I'm afraid.
