She has no credibility in my opinion and should be left out to dry by serious labour leadership, especially for her frequently public racist comments such as "white people love playing 'divide and rule'" [source: Sky News] and reportedly said staff at her local east London hospital who were "blonde, blue-eyed Finnish girls" were not suitable to be nurses because they had "never met a black person before. Other instances of in appropriate behaviour (apart from her obnoxious viewpoints on Daily Politics) include the time when Labour MP Keith Vaz stood up in the Commons to praise the-then Home Secretary Alan Johnson in 2009, she was caught on camera making loud slurping noises and giggling. Her response was taken to imply she thought the MP was trying to suck up to the frontbench of which she did not deny. She is a liability and I am unsure why she is kept on. Actually I am, she has engineered herself to be seen as indispensable by Corbyn as part of his team despite many gaffes that have destroyed other MPs (such as her TV side-kick Portillo). That side of her is to admired in some twisted way however is it because she has a different background that people are afraid to question her, for fear of being branded racist? After all she has form for this when challenged? The people who have no credibility with me are the ex-pats who leave the United Kingdom and behave as though they are still here in the U.K.! ![(thumbsup)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/q4Mqf5MqRwT9PY8UitYa.gif) I'm not sure who you are talking about, but that has no relevance to the topic. its a shame he is being portrayed by the tory media as some anti british loon. he is probably un-electable. but if anyone takes the time to listen to some of the things he says they will see that he does talk a lot of common scense. re police it annoys me that they are being turned into a revenue stream by this tory government. when did you last see a copper patrolling the streets of newcastle? i wish they would stop their obsession with motorists going about their daily business by snaring them in "speed traps" one moments lapse in concentration and you stray over the speed limit you now receive a fine and points ridiculous. and now we hear stories of people reporting burglaries and yet no action is taken by plod

It's only money mate ![(thumbsup)](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/q4Mqf5MqRwT9PY8UitYa.gif) Have we got enough upstanding young 20 somethings with sufficient moral fibre ready to step forward away from their media studies courses to fill the breach. Diane could pop down to the job centres and scoop up all she needs. Overnight it becomes a reality. They won't get famous though unfortunately. That's a good point .....a thankless yet vital job that they do and not without personal cost as recent events in the Capital have shown us .

Calling all Labour voters, your leader has spoken
Challenged about Mrs Abbott's performance during his visit to Southampton, Mr corbin said he was not embarrassed in the slightest by her comments, adding we have corrected the figure and it will be absolutely clear now.

She tried to deflect blame onto the Conservatives. She looked like she has had her ears bent by the labour leadership, I recognise that look after remembering the look of friends of mine just coming back from the headmaster after a severe rollocking. Mmmm.. she keeps deflecting from the topic in hand. The fact that she said that she did talk about the figures but no press releases alluded to this. By all means they want to talk about the police topic but they want to deal with the issue in hand first but she keeps deflecting it.
The good thing is that the Daily Politics are firm on not letting the Conservative representative jump on this and keep it on track.
She is floundering and has never been an asset to Labour.

Diane Abbott has just beautifully summed up the incompetence of the Labour party on LBC this morning talking about this proposal, Car crash stuff, couldn’t remember the numbers, couldn’t cost them properly, then said there were going to be 250,000 more officers not 10,000, subsequently accused Nick Ferrari of making that number up when it was her mistake, repeatedly called the Police MEN and when she finally gave a figure it was pointed out that by HER costings of 10,000 officers @ £80,000,000 is only £8,000 per year we got silence, dead air. This is the Labour Party Shadow Home Secretary, muddled dim witted incompetence at its finest. I will post a link to listen again when one is available, it really has to be heard to be believed it’s that embarrassing. The futures bright, The futures Tory Painful to listen too, have Labour just given up pretending there is a chance they might win. This is the problem you have when any competent Labour MPs refuse to serve under Corbyn.

I saw this on Sky News. He was asked how much Corbyn said 300 Million. He's asked at the beginning and the end of this clip about the "final answer" being 300 million. He says "third time ....yes... you're OK". He also talks about waiting for the fully costed manifesto for those looking for policies from both sides Here's Diane Abbott telling us it's 300 million a YEAR !? link It's difficult the hear and comes right at the beginning of the clip but I'm sure she says "a year". The rest is just as cringe worthy as this morning.

Yes I caught that, the Tories had a bald bull dog waiting in the wings to pounce but he seemed a little flaky on the crime numbers himself when pressed, perhaps he was deliberately flaky since they didn't seem to stand up his case. On a tangential point why are the Tories not advancing any policies this election? It was after all they who called it so they must have something to say. It seems to be all staged photo opportunities and parroted slogans, and pointing out the obvious handicap of Mr. Corbyn's leadership. I know Mrs May is very wooden and her cabinet is far from dynamic but the electorate deserve much better. I am thinking of going LibDem, I certainly would if Nick Clegg was still leader.

She's on Daily Politics now. She's just awful. The Daily Politics interview was another shocker. Repeated the 2.7 Billion figure of reversing CGT cuts but still had no idea what the rates would be. She deflected and blamed the Government for not doing enough to tackle gun and knife crime in places like London and criticised Dominic Rabb for not answering her questions about that. "I'm not a London MP" was his reply.

Dominic Rabb said he was actually invited on to the programme to talk about Brexit. When he was talking about crime stats he gave the facts that the ONS report which said that reported crime had risen a "measurable amount recently" it also said this rise was "statistically insignificant". Also, a rise in reported crime is not the same as a a rise in crime. Anyway, for those impatient ones amongst us, the Labour manifesto will be published on the 15th of May, the Conservatives are publishing their's on the 8th of May, I couldn't find the date of the Lib Dem publishing date after 10 minutes of googling. Probably just waiting until they've read the others ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/kwfoKwtHI0jglJZ4qZf6.gif) .
