How does this pass completion stat fit into the overall picture of how long or short a team's passes are? Great point.Stoke play more long balls than anyone else in the Prem,so that's naturally going to reduce our completion rate compared to teams who play lots of short stuff.About a quarter of the passes we play are long ones. Based on the passing stats since 2009/10 an average Premiership side playing around a quarter of their passes long would have a completion rate of 65%.....ours is currently running at just under 70%. So as usual Stoke are playing to a gameplan and executing it brilliantly.I've emailed Talksport with the good news :-) More details thepowerofgoals.blogspot.com/2012/01/passing-accuracy-in-premiership.html

We scored less than ten percent of our goals from outside the box last season,so we do like to get close to the target....or we're not very good at long range shooting.Unsurprisingly we also scored almost a third of our goals with headers. And we led the league in scoring with "other body part"....Nice to see the ghost of Oulare lives on :-) I've collected all the stats for last year here if anyone's interested, cheers. thepowerofgoals.blogspot.com/2012/01/mode-of-scoring-epl-201011part-2.html

Not a pro, mate :-). Panasonic lumix fz38,cross between a compact and an slr.18X zoom.I tried to keep the shutter speed fast (1/500 sec) and the iso setting at 200 or less.Light was poor,so the aperture was wide open, hence the depth of field was shallow.Concentrated on focusing where the shirt met the players neck to help the auto focus to lock....took about 200 shots.I'm really happy with about three. Glad you like them :-). Errr, Whats that in English then Thats Mabel & Marg i think in the above above me lol. Yep it's definitely Mabel and Marg :-)

For us to go down,
1) West Ham must beat Wigan,Wigan must beat Hull. 2) West Ham,Wigan and Hull must win all other remaining games. 3) Stoke must lose all their remaining games. 4) Bolton,Wolves,Sunderland,Fulham and Blackburn must all equal or better our current total of 42 points.
.........and then we could get relegated on goal difference.
A natural pessimist,but I'd say we're safe.
