on my way to the gym so i could bench press 300lbs like a boss before the game last night, i noticed there was a stoke city flag and a europa leage/uefa flag on the flag poles of the seddon stand (i think??).
i made a thread about a year or so ago about where the flags went from when the icelandic's were in, and the most logical response seemed to be because it was due to health and safety (..gone mad!).
obviously this is not the case as not only were the flags up yesterday, but i've seen loads (well...a couple) of other stadiums in this country that have flags on top on the roofs.
can we have more flags up? purely for aesthetic reasons. would look good if we had a flag of each nationality represented at the club.
our ground looks shit and lego like, and could definitely do with a bit more character. flags would slightly help.

i loved the flags on the roof a few years ago... i thought it added to that fortress look with the brit being on a hill and i was kinda sad when they were taken down .. but i was delighted that they were back up last night and i hope they keep them up for the prem and not just the europa league because i think it really ads to the look of the stadium ;D

What a wank post we should be concentrating on signing cameron jerome not talking about flags.

Like a boss ;D
But yes, it looked really smart with the flags up. Even the Vale have got some all along their main stand. Though admittedly it looks more like an Arnold Clark garage on that ground.

Apparently if the flags are not flying the match cannot take place, as it is a condition of playing in the Europa League.
