It does look like it might be a bit of a problem this season doesn't it.

Is the Championship the right place to have a #10 that isn't either big or fast? Genuine question. He's one of the best number 10s in the division. Is he?

Never going to be the talisman to get us promoted. And therefore, why have him here at all? Wishing it were otherwise won't make it so. He's not a midfielder Is the Championship the right place to have a #10 that isn't either big or fast? Genuine question.

We must have some poor players if McClean will improve our starting 11. We have a squad full of poor players.

I’ve run out of patience with Powell I’m afraid. Wouldn’t lose any sleep if he left. Never going to be the talisman to get us promoted. And therefore, why have him here at all? Wishing it were otherwise won't make it so.

If you keep out a side that good the position should be yours to lose imo.

Coates' legacy will always be Premier League football, an FA Cup final and European adventure. That's how memory in football works. We also have a large, if functional, stadium and training facilities to last a generation. We were given all this without the club ever taking the piss out of the fans - look at some other clubs to see how bad it can get.
You will have to dive a little deeper into the history books to discover the limp chief executive, the backward recruitment and the heavy heavy landing the club took after its fall from grace.

I feel like the Coates' could never really believe their luck that we got promotion, always felt that we were punching above our weight, and when we started our descent there was a shrug of the shoulders to it in that we were reverting to the norm. Perhaps it's because they're gambling people, which is inherently a conservative position. A more imaginative and romantic group of people might have had the vision to see us as a club that deserved our success and had the bollocks to fight harder against failure. In actuality, what happened was we tolerated lack of professionalism. We tolerated failure to recruit well. We tolerated poor results.
The club won't begin to turn itself around until there's some accountability at board level. We need proper progressive knowledgeable footballing leadership right from the top, not these has-been and never-were bean-counters.

I think all of our integrity would suffer with £100s of millions on the line. The gap is far too big.

I still can't quite believe we rely on Tom Ince and James McLean to create chances. About as incisive as a hot knife through the Matterhorn.

No one said that when the teamsheet came out Bayern. He wasn’t in the team I wanted to start. I'll take your word for it but for all the people slating the selection of Butland now - literally no one mentioned it prior to kick off.

They were all shit tonight except Etebo and N’diaye, but it’s Jones that picks them and sets up the team. Clueless. Sadly, that was pretty much the best team we could have put out.

No manager signs a bunch of frees and loans unless he has to. We've wasted an astronomical amount of money. We can't get better players because we can't afford their wages, I'm sure of it.

At no other club in the country would this idiot still be in a job with his record. 3 league wins in 28 I think? Cup defeats to Shrewsbury and Crawley? Failure to act is quite simply dereliction of duty by the board. Perfectly in agreement The board is shit. Worse at their job than Nathan Jones is at his, for sure.

Pieters and Bojan didn't want to be here so they were rightly let go. We do not have the money to sign good players. He has to "target" promotion, of course he does. The money we've wasted will come home to roost. We will be in League 1 before long and it won't be Jones fault. I can't believe Mr Scholes still has a suit and tie let alone a job at Stoke City Football Club. Look at Sunderland. Who would we get to come in now? Even Chris Kamara would decide it's not worth the embarrassment. Chris fucking Kamara. He paid £9m for Vokes FFS, £3m for Batth and £4m for a fullback we didn't need, the rest of his signings are free or loans (which he stated he wouldn't do), who do you blame for signing the dross Jones brought here ? Wage budget. Years of ruinous economics. And if/when he goes, who picks his replacement? The same sorry band of incompetents. All of you shouting at the manager on the bench need to lift your eyes to the box 50 feet above his head.
