At least he had sense to play our best players Badou and Etebo when they were available.
I'm very disappointed in MON for excluding those players for what ever reason!

I wish him well. He might still turn out to be a decent manager but the stoke job was too much for him, he was in over his head.

I didn’t want him to get the job in the first place, but we head hunted him, it’s the clubs fault for appointing him, he also had to deal with a bad bunch of players and a toxic dressing room, yes he signed a poor bunch of players but he hardly did it on purpose.

That'd have been an extremely good gig for him to land, surprised he's turned that one down.

I can't see a bottom end Champo club taking a punt on him, these are the exact sort of offers he shouldn't be turning his nose up at.
And at Bristol Rovers, they have wealthy owners, 4th in League 1, clearly competing. If he wants a shot at this league, then he's going to have do it through promotion. This would be perfect.

He would lose some of the Stoke pay off if he took that job and would be working for nothing. Also I would understand if he has realised that managing a football club is something he just can't do and was considering other career options like in an Amazon warehouse.

What a mistake he just probably made. He's obviously waiting for a Premier League or Bundesliga club to make an offer, or possibly one from the Championship. It's like Dave Kitson when he was out of contract and felt surprised La Liga hadn't called.

Maybe he's banking on a return to Luton. Yeah I think that's inevitable. It's the only place the total charlatan will have any chance to rebuild his stock, anywhere else he'll go in fail dramatically, be kicked out and never manage again.

Incidentally why do they have no manager as they are fourth in League One?

How can anyone say it's the absolute best offer he could get? We don't know anything about how discussions went, contract terms etc. It's not just about league position. Maybe he wants a longer rest. The job here must've taken a lot out of him. He'll be back.

Maybe he's banking on a return to Luton. That was my feeling as well....... Just can't see them wanting him back after he left them the way he did. I'll put it like this: Jones has as much chance of managing Luton again as Mark Hughes has of running Stoke again...

Ian Holloway would take it and said as much this morning. Will give him a chance to return to where it all began for him.
