Wow, I actually think it might be off. Yeah - he's the other guy who was reporting it was off last night, isn't he? Supposedly a radio journalist. Also repeating his claim it's off?! That’s Quiques mrs in the left as well.

Don’t believe everything you read chaps. Press will be guessing at every possible eventuality in a bid to sound more credible if the very unlikely happens.

Why difference does posting to videos do??? Be open to change. Why would players react to a song that has as much motivation as Stephen Hawkin in a comedy club. It took us Stoke fans 18 months to see how shit Mark Hughes was. So I maybe me opinions will take his long to make an impact Even our foreign players can recognise the identity of our club and know that Delilah has been our chant for many years, part of our identity. They know what it means to us.

The # RCDE is already training in the preview of the Athletic match, 15 minutes open for the press, at the moment the most awaited one does not appear, QSF No sign of QSF at training so far, according to this. Apparently there's a press conference after training - so hopefully it should become clear then? Do your Magic FM. Anywhere we can watch press conference?

Would they say otherwise until it’s confirmed? A bit like Hughes here, QSF has got a team to prepare for tomorrow’s game, got to appear professional even if he’s just about to walk out of the door.

Good summary from Pete Smith (Sentinel). Posted 8:56 today.
It’s understood that Stoke’s hierarchy has been in Barcelona tying up an agreement with Quique Sanchez Flores, with talks about his backroom team’s exit from Espanyol making sure nothing is happening too quickly. Stoke may have to pay 4m euros just to release the manager from his current position.
The hold up has given the Catalan media the chance to keep speculating. At the moment, they think Flores will stay in charge for tomorrow’s La Liga match against Athletic Bilbao.
Espanyol are apparently already lining up Javi Garcia to be his replacement... but Quique Iglesias, from COPE radio station, isn’t ruling out Flores staying put until the end of the season.

My take, having ready pretty much all that has been posted here from various papers and the press etc.) and unless those radio people with the tweets have an inside scoop - all of the other press (literally all of the other press) are saying that negotiations continue but it would appear that QSF wants to leave to join us and it is just a question of pulling the whole package together. And as I said in a previous post this is not a simple package to sort out given it is not just a contract with QSF to sort out but all his assistants as well (the whole team he would bring). And QSF needs to convince his team to go with him ... etc. etc. I'm still reasonably hopeful, but those tweets and that one alleged COPE story (which I think they're on about in this tweet above) are worrying. Reading through the tweets from their fans, loads are not happy with QSF. I definitely wouldn’t trust Voz Perica, they were reporting that scfc hadn’t even made contact with Espanyol early yesterday. Clueless.

The Internet has a lot to answer for. Have you ever waited for them to slice a fresh loaf? There’s definitely similarities in timescales

QSF originally signed Diego Costa at Atletico Madrid for a fee of €1M according to Transfermarkt. He bought David Villa as well to Valencia.

Incredibly reductive to say this and based on how Espanyol player we'll actually have pace and movement in the team. I hope so. I'm not being an arse, just honestly have no idea what to expect and can't see why he's so highly rated by our board as he's a manager that only lasted 1 season in the Prem before and was sacked on the back of his last 10 games. It was Watford, they sack managers for fun. Including the manager who got them into the Premier League.

"We hadn't seen Mark since he had been in the dressing room at the Ricoh Arena and, to put it bluntly, told us exactly what he thought about us. " Fair play Sparky lad. He obviously knew his fate and let it be known that they weren’t pulling their weight.

He’s obviously bringing a Spanish contingency with him as well which will all be part of the deal. These things take time.

He clearly hasn’t turned us down for it to have gotten this advanced. If it fails from here on out it’s because we can’t agree terms. So basically, hes open to the move. He wants it. IF terms can be agreed. Coates need to flap his dong on the table.

Perfect if true. QSF wants assurances that he is in charge and won't face interference from the meddling transfer team. The manager has to be in charge of signing players and I don't mean simply by way of saying "OK, you can't get the players I want so he'll have to do". I'm warming to him already. He wants a long term project and he wants assurances that he is the man in charge of the football club, including incoming and outgoing players. Didn't Flores and Hughes play together and know each other quite well. Wouldn't surprise me if Hughes recommended Flores to the board - and told Flores about the things to look for in any deal - no bad thing either. Given what happened at Watford you can't blame the bloke for being cautious. If we take a recommendation from a man we just sacked that’s just embarrassing.

Did you even watch the video in the O.P? Yes thanks, I watched the video. Nothing on show there or, more importantly on the pitch at Stoke, which strike me as being £18M worth. What I saw at Stoke was a complete lack of effort & commitment, easily dispossessed, one footed player. As I said before, I must have missed the match where his "obvious talent" was on display" ....... A signing even worse than Palacios. If you’ve genuinely watched that video and don’t think he’s worth AT LEAST £18m if he could consistently play like that then I really do give up.

I watched some of the game last night and his Espanyol team were anything but boring and negative. But Levante were absolutely terrible. Even we could have had a chance against them. I didnt pay much attention to the opposition, I was watching how they were instructed to play and the styles. Very rigid, back 4 always close together and in a solid straight line. Strikers were making runs in behind etc. It wasn’t hoof ball at all like it’s been suggested.
