"We hadn't seen Mark since he had been in the dressing room at the Ricoh Arena and, to put it bluntly, told us exactly what he thought about us. " Fair play Sparky lad.

Unfortunately, just like many others in the squad, all they could do(really?), just wasn't anywhere near good enough. There needs to be massive improvements all round (or players replaced), otherwise the new manager will go the same way as Hughes.

Problem was there weren't many with him and he wasn't ten years younger 👍

Good, they needed telling what they were. He must have known he was fucked after that match, as if he wasn't after Castle, and gave them the final send off they deserved.

he should have buried that header at the end though. The danger being Hughes may still be gainfully employed, planning his sacrifice of fledglings on the Old Trafford slab to preserve the first team players with further dents in the goal difference The unconscious mind speaks louder than the conscious and when I saw them against Liverpool I knew he was done for. Apathetic It's like rushing to a house fire to help and then being told it's a half-way house for nonces. You just wouldn't bother

Yes I believe he did. The selling of Walters and Josulu, playing Diouf at wing back and the utter disastrous Berahino signing meant he had to start games at the age of 36 which was ridiculous.

I really liked Joselu and couldn't believe we sold him not replaced him or bought in a wingback to free up Diouf! Crackers

The problem is they soon get used to the money, it becomes normal, like monopoly money and then it's just another job like someone in a factory with a shit boss who doesn't know what he's doing. Even if you like him you'd want him gone!

But bring a wing back in to replace Diouf. Don't you mean a striker, he only played wing back because as a striker he is wank. His heading is unbelievably shit, his shooting is about a predictable as a lucky dip. Works hard though.....

A lot of us wanted Rafa, but we should remember he bought Joselu, which in hindsight was another Hughes failure and now a Rafa failure.

"We hadn't seen Mark since he had been in the dressing room at the Ricoh Arena and, to put it bluntly, told us exactly what he thought about us. " Fair play Sparky lad. Sparky has taken a lot of shit on this forum, and to be honest a lot of it is justified. However, he was majorly let down by his players in the last few weeks of his reign with some not even bothering to try at all. We all know if we showed lethargy at work how it would go, quite a lot of us would be sacked. Shocking and for that at least, the players should apologise whatever else was going on in the background. There is no excuse for not giving a shit at this level.

The players that let him down - to a man - were the ones he signed.
The problem was never Peter Crouch.

I said at the beginning of this campaign that Hughes would live or die by Berahinos' performances. Unfortunately I am correct. (not a look at me comment)
