I think most Stoke fans could just about accept Martin O’Neill on a 6 month deal until the end of the season. Then we can conduct a proper search for a long term option that can push us on, whatever league we’re in.
Contrary to that, I think 95% of Stoke fans wouldn’t want to give Martin O’Neill any longer than the rest of this season in charge.
It’s pretty unanimous amongst the fans IF IT DOES HAVE TO BE MON.

My problem with Martin O’Neill is that he would be a short term appointment. He has no modern philosophies to stamp on the squad, he won’t get the most out of Shaq, Choupo or Rammers. Which means, you have to back him, you have to give him money, or he won’t get us out of this. Giving a short term manager money is a massive, massive risk. That’s why we wanted a long term appointment and a vision. Seems you know him better than himself. Do you think that when you get older your brain stops thinking of new things lol. My Mrs would tell you different. What you and I wanted was a Flashy manager we could wave like a big dick at other clubs. With a look at me in my new shirt manner. Problem is we may have had a new shirt but underneath we are still an ugly bugger. I can make an informed opinion based on many years of watching him manage teams. He has managed the same way throughout his managerial career so why will he change now? Any short term appointment is dangerous because they’ll still need money to spend before January is out. If we get relegated on the back of that we’re in a very dangerous position. Hello Charlton.

But that’s pretty much writing off the Huddersfield match? We simply can’t afford to do that. Probably doesn't work like that though, does it? The way football works, we'll probably beat them with the Eddie/Rooster combo, while a loss with the new man is almost guaranteed! Surely we can get a non-MON in by midweek if we go balls to the wall if we're offering the kind of package QSF was being offered? Put the same package on the table for Brendan Rodgers and Rafa Benitez and see what answers we get?

The only thing that can make this day better now is if I win Super 6, which is definitely going to happen

MON is 4-1 on Betway if anyone fancies it That could literally be the only plus point. If we all get rich off it.

Why do fans now what O’Neil Boring as a person. Dull, boring football. Shite in the transfer market. Hasn’t been in club football for a long time. Keane is a joke.

This board has believed everything that has been typed by John Percy until the words 'it's not stokes fault' was typed. 😆😆 Wasn’t Percy who said that pal.

Well this all seems typical of Stoke. I don’t know what the fuck we are supposed to do now ...Paul Lambert for the rest of the season, I guess. I’d take that.

LMFAO HOWL HOWL HOWL. how do you like him now. Put that in your pipe & smoke it. (After you've crawled back down from his backside) 😂😂😂 Fuck off you slimy cunt and don’t bother calling yourself a Stoke fan if you’re here to take the piss out of Stoke supporters.

Thoroughly! But it's better than MON for longer than that! Just hoping there's another bloke up our sleeves. We surely can't turn to O'Neil now, can we? The players, the fans and the press will all know that we didn't really want him. It'd be embarrassing all round. Coates really needs to show what he's made of now and pull a massive rabbit out of a hat now. You’d like to think not, but we will. Doubt Coates will even care what we think.

YESzSSSSS! Huge bullet dodged. People on here creaming themselves over an average La Liga manager was embarrassing and desperate. Never ever good enough for us. A mercenary sacked from wherever he's been. There is a God He’s still better than O’Neill.

He's staying because we've not reached an agreement on compensation, surely we just write a bigger cheque? He has a release clause, match it, pay it and bring him in, Espanyol will then have absolutely no say in the matter We’ll have had to agree to that with Espanyol before even speaking to Quique surely. This is us not giving Quique the terms he wants.

Still very vague, he's said nothing up to now to confirm either way, which probably means we're still talking and he doesn't want to confirm or deny Sorry mate but “I have everything here I’ve ever wanted” is probably a good clue.

More Nixon.. Not looking good is it Alan.. any idea weather quique is leaning towards joining or remaining in Spain? He needs to decide how badly he wants to come. Not sounding good Alan at all.... really hope he decides to join us? Are you confident we will get our man? An awful lot less confident than yesterday
Without sounding too sensible. I get how people can be made aware of targets etc. But how can Nixon know exactly where the stumbling block is on the deal? It’s just not true. I’m not saying there isn’t a snag but to say he knows exactly what the snag is, is just blatant lies.

Quique is drifting like a fucking barge Martin O Neil being heavily backed back into 3/1. Sake!!!!! To be honest I think it’s a great time to jump on QSF if the odds drift anymore.
