Martin O’Neill.
Boring with shit personality. Wastes money on transfers and wages. Plays shit football. 65 years old. Keane is a nut job. Won’t be able to attract anyone outside of England. Hasn’t been in club football for a decade.
Wank, just utterly wank.

I don't think many on here would last 5 weeks We've got 3 days at most to get someone in. Anything else is negligent. Not gonna happen.

Going from QSF to MON is like going out on a promise with a worldy and then getting that drunk you piss her off and wake up with your brothers cock in your mouth. Seriously underwhelmed at the prospect of hiring a bloke who's last good EPL season was nearly a decade ago and his last job managed to get sacked by Sunderland who I think always finished beneath us. That with the fact he's inevitably bringing one of the most despicable characters in the game along with him. I don't care if it's temporary. I really don't want them. I've never been a cheerleader of Hughes, I've just supported him the best I can whilst PC wanted to keep him but with him going at the time he had, our public failing in the pursuit of QSF. and then being left with virtually no semi credible alternative other than MON has in my opinion left us in a worse position than we were. If the morale in the dressing room was shit before, I fear it will be rock bottom now. Today is the first day I am genuinely worried that we will go down and we've not even played a game. I'll still support MON if he's coming in like I have done with all of his predecessors, but I am in no doubt the club has royally fucked up. Even though it was clear Hughes was losing it and needed replacing, we would have been more stable and together if he was still here. I really fear for the wellbeing of that dressing room now. M WORD

The thing is ... If QSF had agreed to join us, you would have to question his morals, and most certainly his loyalty. I know managers do jump ship mid season, for money, but it doesn't really show them in a good light. His club are on a good cup run, only an absolute bastard would desert them at a time like this. Sometimes people leave business on the up for what’s best for them. It happens, it’s life.

We simply left it too late for the British manager merry-go-round Surely we understood that we were going to have to either take from the championship or go foreign? I know that things didn't go to plan with Rowett but our list must've been longer than 3? We’ll have had loads of applications from Europe.

At least the board know how the players have felt all season after this massive failure. They need a plan and fast.

Stuff like that could have been sorted within the first day of negotiating. Why leave it 2 weeks if that is the reason? Nonsense. That’s exactly the sort of stuff that CAN’T be sorted on day one and is TOTALLY outside of our control. If QSF couldn’t persuade his ex-wife to move to Cheshire how could we? It really is though mate. You look into the guys personal circumstances and make sure all is good to go at his end before getting into advanced negotiations. A simple question would have sufficed.

Swansea winning. West Brom winning.
So that’s both teams below us winning.
We’re managerless and there’s 2 weeks of the window left, we need signings.
On top of all of that, Arnautovic is bagging like no mans business.
I’m resigned to relegation already.

“What a bolt from the blue. Ogbonna chips the ball forward from the kick-off and it's flicked on by Kouyate but the rest is just pure wizardry from Marko Arnautovic as he hooks the ball over Tommy Smith's head and belts the ball in at Lossl's near post.”
Happy weekend, lads.

Nothing against megson but, if he’s the best our billionaire owners can come up with they may aswell throw the fucking towel in now Dear Peter and John Coates, please read the above. This also applies to Martin O’Neill.

Hoping PC is resigned to JC being the man to take the reigns and call the managerial decision. That way we have half a chance of ending up with someone half decent.

I’m not saying he would, what I’m saying is. Getting MON on a 6 month deal is the only thing that would make it even slightly acceptable to appoint Martin O’Neill. Anything over 6 months and it would be a majority NO vote. Supporters don't appoint managers or determine contracts, unless there is another candidate lined up the Board need to act NOW. They can have opinions though, that’s what this message board is for.

I couldn't. I'd rather get relegated than have yet another dinosaur in charge. Frankly I wouldn't even want him interviewed, his time as a club manager is well past, his football philosophy is outdated and "that he was a good manager once" says it all, we need to look to the future and be bold. I can't think of another premiership that would turn to him and that possibly goes for the championship as well. I agree.

I think most Stoke fans could just about accept Martin O’Neill on a 6 month deal until the end of the season. Then we can conduct a proper search for a long term option that can push us on, whatever league we’re in. Contrary to that, I think 95% of Stoke fans wouldn’t want to give Martin O’Neill any longer than the rest of this season in charge. It’s pretty unanimous amongst the fans IF IT DOES HAVE TO BE MON. Why would he accept a 6 month contract, that isn't what he's going to agree too. I’m not saying he would, what I’m saying is. Getting MON on a 6 month deal is the only thing that would make it even slightly acceptable to appoint Martin O’Neill. Anything over 6 months and it would be a majority NO vote.

Scholes couldn't organise a prayer in a synagogue. If he fell into a pit full of tits he'd come up sucking his thumb, the ferret-faced gimp. He couldn’t manage a fart on a baked beans diet.
