2 years ago I wanted Walters and Whelan out as did a lot of fans. But every year they prove me wrong and deserve s place on the pitch if not squad. This is a real tough one as I sense Walters is a real club man and his presence in the sheds is as strong as it is on the pitch. I think we need his character at the club as his enthusiasm and never say die attitude motivates others. I think that's why Hughes is reluctant to sell. He's also smart by saying that we want him which pushes any bids for him upwards.

Fortunately Diouf only slightly touched the second otherwise it would have no doubt been straight at Lloris. It was one of those days. On another day he would have scored at least one of the other two headers he missed. Good to get a point in the end with Arnie and Ireland working well together and certainly looked stronger with Diouf on the right and Joselu as striker

The players are encouraged to feign injuries to either waste time of get a player sent off but it's the Physio that gets suspended. What a joke

You can tell you're a Mourinho team when your physio gets sacked for not being able to tell the difference between when players are cheating and injured. In fact, since he's effectovely admitted that Hazard was cheating, it would be nice if the FA gave him a big ban.

Has Cameron ever had a run of games at CB for Stoke ? He looked useful against Everton in Singapore

Too early to make any predictions. Nobody played badly, a few standouts and everybody getting fitter. Sparky will have a few tough decisions to make and a bench full of quality players. Great to see Shenton given a go

Lots of Stokies in Sydney. I went on s cruise recently and bumped into a Stokie in Noumea. Both of us wearing caps and turns out he was two cabins down from me.. Quite a few locals also follow them after Stoke came on a tour here in the 70's

As I begin to write this I can almost hear the howls of derision from certain sections of our supporter base, however I feel pretty strongly about this so I am going to make a suggestion for the Liverpool game. Be interested in your thoughts. As we know, Steven Gerrard is bringing the curtain down on his career in English football at the Britannia Stadium. Gerrard has been, in my opinion, a fantastic asset not only for his club, for also for his country. Never once eschewing a call up or putting himself or his body first, his England career can be rightly considered in comparison with anyone who has worn the Three Lions. His 114 caps for his country is testament to his enduring capability in the middle of midfield for England, and in my adult lifetime of watching the game only Paul Scholes can be considered his equal. But in my opinion, Gerrard stands for more than that, and that is why it is my hope that Stoke fans will put aside personal pettiness and recognise his other attributes. As Stoke City supporters, there are few attributes that we value more than loyalty, and in this regard Gerrard stands completely alone. He has, on far more occasions than Liverpool Football Club should have found themselves, been the single glimmer of light, the only catalyst for the moderate success the club has enjoyed (relative to it's standing) over the past 20 years. In 2005, he single handedly dragged them back into a Champions League Final they had no right to be in, based solely on his work ethic and appetite to succeed. Gerrard had ample opportunity to move during the 2000's, move to bigger clubs, better clubs, clubs that could (shudder…) "match his ambition". He didn't. He stayed loyal and faithful to the city he was raised in. And this, more than anything else, makes him worthy of particular praise. So, to my suggestion. I'm not asking us to sing "you'll never walk alone", or "there's only one Steven Gerrard". What I feel is the right thing to do is a minute's applause in the 8th minute to acknowledge and pay respect to the loyalty and career of an exceptional sportsman. Everywhere he's been this year, they've sung that fucking song about him falling over. Everywhere. I have been brought up on the belief that Stoke fans are different from the rest, cut from a different cloth. We are supporters who recognise and reward achievement, but more importantly character. Gerrard has shown it in spades and, in the eyes of the world, we have a unique opportunity to respect that, and show to a watching world what separates Stoke City from the rest of the flock. Thanks for reading.

Leicester are a decent team that has created many chances but not taken them. If our defence aren't upto it we will struggle . As we don't beat the teams below us very often I'm gong for a 2-2 draw.
