I think if Dier doesn't play it would be Dembele in that role anyway, and we know how people on here feel about him

I think it will be the same side as we saw on Sunday:
Butland Johnson Cameron Muniesa Pieters Whelan MVG Walters Adam Affelay Diouf
Bench: Given, Wollscheid, Joselu, Shaqiri, Wilson, Crouch, Sidwell
Shaqiri will probably start on the bench since he will have only trained a couple of days, making his debut in the second half if it is tied or we are losing. Any players that return from injury probably won't be rushed back into the starting XI. Only question marks for me are the extent of Pieters' injury, if he's out I think we will see Wollscheid; and if Wilson will be fit enough to make the bench.
It'd be nice to see Bojan on the bench, but it seems like we are really staying cautious with waiting to bring him back.

I'd be tempted to play Ireland behind the striker on Saturday, to give us a bit more mobility in the final third.

IF he signs then Shaqiri has to start, even if he only lasts an hour. You can't pursue a bloke like that for so long then put him on the bench.
Plus we need Arnautovic fit as well. We missed his strength and power on Sunday.

We missed his strength and power on Sunday. Indeed, you don't buy a multi-million pound mansion and then sleep in a tent in the back garden. He's been training with Inter and should be fit - if he has at least two days of training with us this week, we simply have to give him an hour on the weekend.

I don't think that Shaqiri will start at Spurs.
He hasn't been prevalent in the pre-season schedule at Inter Milan so the idea that he is ready to step into a Premier League game almost immediately is far fetched in my opinion.
I imagine that we will line up exactly as we did for the Liverpool game (assuming that Pieters is fit / well).

I hope Arnie is fit and Shaqiri starts. That will be too much for Spuds to cope with I hope.

So the team against Liverpool plus bench was Butters Johnson Cameron Muni Pieters Van Ginkel Whelan Walters Adam Afellay Diouf Bench: Ireland Odemwingie Joselu Sidwell Given Crouch Wollscheid So if Arnie, Wilson and Shaquiri are all ready, wether they start or not who gets left out of the match day squad?! My guess would be 1. Wingie or Walters 2. Sidwell (hopefully) but who else could fill in at CDM? 3. Crouch? Then when Bojan & Ryan are back its even more difficult! Obviously there will be injuries and suspensions but surely 1 or 2 will go before the window closes. All in all, this is a golden era!
