Nothing that a shotgun wouldn't put right Hopefully there’ll be a day when he gets his first car or home and someone breaks it up in front of him for a laugh. It makes my blood boil as do the idiots who justify it or like his tik tok. I'm beginning to think a Purge wouldn't be a bad idea. One night a year.

Mental health issues aren't politics (unless you voted for Corbyn 😉). Also, if Geoff had made some daft comparison with eating disorders and one of the most horrific events in human history then you could compare it with what Llinnacher tweeted. But he didn't, so we can't 👍 He has a go at the government and calls it a national disgrace. That’s political. And Lineker didn’t do that. He compared it to 1930’s Germany. He didn’t mention the Holocaust. I haven't mentioned the Holocaust. And neither did Gharré Linakker, but the insinuation was there. I wouldn't try and catch me out on semantics, you'll lose. Best sticking to the merits of Sam Clucas on the other side if you're at a loose end.

Not that I've got time to argue the toss with you ad infinitum as I have a family, so see my post above. And see mine. A football presenter gets political. The reactions should be the same shouldn’t they? You either think they should or think they shouldn’t. You can’t just pick and choose? Mental health issues aren't politics (unless you voted for Corbyn 😉). Not surprised to see you lot weaponising it though. Also, if Geoff had made some daft comparison with eating disorders and one of the most horrific events in human history then you could compare it with what Llinnacher tweeted. But he didn't, so we can't 👍

Imagine using mental health issues and eating disorders to score cheap political points over a completely different topic. Desperate much? Yes imagine pointing out the hypocrisy of people. Two football presenters being political. Two total different reactions. One can only wonder why. Not that I've got time to argue the toss with you ad infinitum as I have a family, so see my post above.

TikTok needs fucking off. Social media should be about promoting businesses and charities etc not bollocks like this. If it wasn't for TikTok that young lad wouldn't have hung himself. What was that saying again- "If your mate told you to jump off a cliff would you do it?” Spot on mate, a cesspit of hatred and bullying The next TikTok trend should be posting up videos of stupid pricks getting a shoeing after they've broken into someone's property

This is a very worrying craze. I saw one yesterday where a kid ran off with an elderly lady’s dog as a “joke.” No doubt when one of the youngsters filming for tiktok gets clumped or hurt the parents will be on TV saying how their child was attacked and it was just high jinks. TikTok needs fucking off. Social media should be about promoting businesses and charities etc not bollocks like this. If it wasn't for TikTok that young lad wouldn't have hung himself. If AN was sacked today, who's to say the new manager won't buy a load of crap. All our managers since getting relegated have purchased a pile of Cack. Let's just not appoint anyone then. It's a shame we can't plug Waddo up to a supercomputer instead

Virtue-signalling, sanctimonious, woke bollocks from someone who should not be speaking about anything other than football... Etc. You're not comparing eating disorders with Gari Lynnacher's politics are you mate? I doubt you are, saying as you're such a strident voice against whataboutery and false equivalence. So I'm quite happy to write this one off as 'the dog ran across my keyboard and it wasn't me, honest boss' 🙂

With all the money the Coates family had, Shirley they could have got a decent manager from somewhere willing to manage a club that had been in the Premiership for 10 yrs. But somehow they came up with Lambert, there must have been some brain farts going on in the boardroom when they decided on one of the worst managers they could think of. Johnnie Foreigner turned us down (he was OK because he'd managed in England before) so it was back to fishing in the British Manager pond discounting anyone who'd not managed in the Premier League. That left Martin O'Neill and Lambert. We'd already pissed of O'Neill so it was Hobson's choice. The real shocker is that they had no one lined up so we were in limbo for most of the fucking transfer window. Don't forget John Beck and Stan Ternent had already retired. That would've widened the field.

What a stupid question. It’s too small to host many Championship league games let alone a European final. Indeed. Or to host a final between two Championship sides. Let's assume we were in the Europa Conference Final. (I know, I know...). I imagine we would easily sell 10-15,000 tickets if it were somewhere as accessible and beautiful as Prague. Quite possibly more. Lots of Championship clubs could. West Ham would double that. And so would Inter. Bonkers. How many went to Valencia? A final would attract even more

I've never gotten the 'piss up in a brewery' saying.
I'd imagine organising such a thing would be extremely difficult as the brewing company would rather send their products to places that attract paying customers. Who goes to a brewery for a party?

Apologies for the cynicism, but that's Carrie's future well-being sorted. All that alimony and child care when they eventually go their separate ways will soften the 'blow', I'm sure! I still can't fathom out what she saw in him 😆 Perhaps he's got a huge nob?

£25m to £30m is the rumour I’ll happily admit I’m wrong if that comes to pass but I can’t see us spending much more than £10-15 at a push. What Championship team spends £30 million in a window when they aren’t backed by relegation funding? We'll definitely spend more than £15

What a joke this is as well😳🙄 What a stupid question. It’s too small to host many Championship league games let alone a European final. If it was a final between, say, Ostersunds and Cluj it'd probably be adequate. But that won't cut it for West Ham v Fiorentina

Haven’t wigan had these financial issues for years now? And yet they always seem to tear apart league one somehow. They’ve been champions of that league 3 times in less than 10 years! In fact the last time they won it, it was after a season where they were in a relegation battle all year if I remember correctly. And yet they still managed to build a championship winning squad off the back of it. It’s quite miraculous really because that division is no walk in the park. We spent 4 seasons the last time (and only managed to go up via the playoffs) Sheff utd were in there for 6 seasons far more recently, Ipswich down for a good few years. Notts forest were down there for a while IIRC? Leeds too! And yet wigan (smaller than every club mentioned) always seem to piss it. Maybe this time will be different and they’ll tumble back to where they came? Although they are prob an upper league one/lower championship size club these days. But these financial issues might make it different this time. Although won’t be surprised if they defy logic and are looking forward to championship football again in a year. Same with Rotherham too- maybe not being a bigger club at that level is an advantage as you're not everyone's Cup Final?

The Locker Room was formerly Liberties/Regimes wasnt it (back in my day lol - I was 18 in 1992) The sad lament of big clubs and 'going out' up to Hanley or Castle are sadly a sign of a few things 1 - Knobheads. everywhere. There have always been knobheads, looking for a fight or trouble, but back in those days and before they would be sorted out by other lads or bouncers Nowadays they are off their faces and you are as likely to be stabbed to death over a spilt drink by some moody steroid filled type who dont give a shit about consequence. Thats no fun for a start spending your evening not trying to get twatted 2 - Cost. Beer used to be cheap, places like Manhattan where you could a pint and 2 shots for about £3 (memories of drinking cider with 2 Taboos in (disgusting lol)), clubs were a fiver to get in, a taxi back to your town would cost £10-£15 between 4 of you. Nowadays its £4, £5, £6 a drink if you are lucky, a taxi back to Biddulph for example is about £25 from Hanley at night - no idea how much clubs charge to get in with extortionate drink prices. 3 - Drugs. Lots of them. Again they have always been there, but seem far more prevalent and cheap now - but stories from places like Fluid etc with folk being syringed, roofied, spiked etc are scary, as well as the monkey dust folk wandering the streets and the menacing dealers on every street corner 4 - Police. Back int'day there was always a presence around the city centre on a Thurs-Sat night, checking in on revellers, dealing with trouble, engaging with people. Nowadays the first emergency service you are likely to see is an ambulance. Lots of other economic reasons and preferences - Hanley is pretty much unrecognisable nowadays as an absolute shithole, boarded up shops and pubs/clubs, and a sinister atmosphere all around it. Castle is the same - I took my lads to the mini golf under the cinema (the old market), we came out at night, the marketplace was full of teenagers all in black behaving like morons, and pissed people looking for a fight Manchester sometimes isnt much better near the station or at Xmas markets time of year, but for the sake of a £10 return on the train from Congleton, its a far better day/night out, loads of different pubs and activities to do, a scene for everybody whether dance, rock, karoake, entertainment and food - we have our team works Xmas party there every year in December, its always a cracking day out, and even after a day on the lash and a train its probably cheaper than a night out in Hanley! We’ve done it for years jumped a train to Manchester or Birmingham on a Saturday morning for a day and night out. Stations heaving with people and you’ll always recognise people from Stoke in the pubs/restaurants where you go. Not a chance we’d ever contemplate stepping foot in Hanley. Imagine visiting Stoke as an out of towner for a day out, getting off at the train station, getting a bus up the hill to Hanley and then the first thing you see as you leave the bus depot is the wasteland and resident dustheads opposite.

Appointing Paul Lambert in january to maintain your premier league place was one of the most stupidest things a Premier League club has ever done. There was no benefit to his tenure, 'improving the defence' aye he played about seven defenders. Idk if these rumours were true but the "appointed him because he impressed the board with a presentation" stuff is laughable. Well this is a board who appointed someone based on a recommendation down the pub, so it wouldn't shock you if it's true

Yes of course but this thread isn't about Stoke Admin needs to get a grip of these threads that are started as veiled attempts to slag Stoke off. In reality hardly any Stoke supporter I know gives a flying fuck about Sunderland or Luton. Most of the comments on these threads are basically look how bad we are compared to them. Look how well run they are, look how they run through a brick wall for the club...blah blah blah. Sunderland were a basket case not so long ago and Luton will vanish into obscurity again in the not to distant future. It's becoming really tedious. We all know it's been a shit show for about six seasons but saying the same things over and over again isn't going to solve anything. Neither's turning a blind eye to it

I'd really love that, a coach with exactly the right attitude to football! Jesus hates Christ! Really? Whelan - based on what exactly? Is it because Delap was such a runaway success? What is it with Stoke fans and their unceasing demand for ex players to be given coaching or admin roles at the club? Do I really have to roll the Jethro Tull video out of the retirement home again? There must be literally thousands of people out there on planet football to fill our coaching roles who have more ability and experience than some random ex player. He knows the club though
