Reports from a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex suggest that the couple were subjected to media harrassment in an incident/ordeal that lasted for up to 2 hours on the Streets of New York. Apparently the illegal and dangerous pursuit of their vehicle by reporters and photographers was "potentially catastrophic" in its nature.
Harry is of course thought to be very sensitive to paparazzi driving activities, especially considering the way in which his Mother, Princess Diana, died in a car accident in a Paris underpass whilst being chased by media reporters..
After today's incident the young couple have asked for "Privacy" at this difficult time, and will only be selling their story to eight selected news agencies around the world.

No injuries, no damage, no arrests. Sounds catastrophic to me

"Prince" Andrew and now "Prince" Harry. The minor Royals seem to be good at getting into trouble in New York.

You could get to Philadelphia run up and down Rocky's steps have Philly Cheesesteak in less than 2 hours.

Rich people getting photographed in public shocker.
Taxi driver denied it happened.
You can’t control your privacy if you are a public figure.

I'm sick of seeing them at the top of the BBC website.
In the morning the story was the projected 1.5C increase in global temperature.
By the afternoon rental market reforms and the problems with Brexit and the UK economy.
Just in time for the evening news the story was about two nobodys feeling anxious in traffic in New York.
It's not news for fucks sake!!

I don't think it is at all coincidental that this has occurred just as Harry is in the middle of suing the Home Office for more protection.

A photo agency that took pictures of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex during what the couple said was a dangerous car chase has refused to hand over the images to them. Backgrid told BBC News it had rejected a legal demand to share all the material taken over several hours in New York City on Tuesday night. The agency's lawyers said Americans had long ago rejected "royal prerogative". Backgrid, a California-based entertainment picture agency, said on Thursday it had received a letter from the Sussexes' legal team. It said the letter stated: "We hereby demand that Backgrid immediately provide us with copies of all photos, videos, and/or films taken last night by the freelance photographers after the couple left their event and over the next several hours." The agency said it had replied in a letter: "In America, as I'm sure you know, property belongs to the owner of it: Third parties cannot just demand it be given to them, as perhaps Kings can do. "Perhaps you should sit down with your client and advise them that his English rules of royal prerogative to demand that the citizenry hand over their property to the Crown were rejected by this country long ago. Can you imagine that happening in this country

Can you imagine that happening in this country I personally loved when the Mayor said something along the lines of “a two-hour car chase….in NYC?!”. I think Americans will tire of them and they’ll end up doing a reality tv show or a sex tape.

Absolutely terrifying for them.
I'm so glad, that after a gruelling two-hour chase, the paparazzi eventually managed to get away.

Why would there be a ‘chase’ at all?
Surely if being followed you just roll up the tinted windows and ask the driver to proceed with caution.

As anyone who's been to Manhattan will know its usually pretty much gridlocked around the central area with no chance of any sort of car chase. This, as much as anything else that comes out of their gobs, has the scent of the farmyard about it. 🐃💩

Both Diana and Harry were the quarry. The quarry sets the pace......the paparazzi races after them when they try to speed away. The quarry could reduce the danger by slowing down. They could eliminate the danger by parking, peeking out the window and smiling for the cameras. Diana died when her drunk limo driver drove at excessive speed while under the influence of alcohol. No idea what the Harry story is. Other than there seems to be a need for DRAMA. Stay out of New York.......maybe buy a ranch in Wyoming and raise prairie dogs or borrow a castle somewhere in the UK?
