Fair play to the women's game for maximising the opportunity presented by these football free so called 'International' weekends.
It used to be one man and a dog in the audience and sometimes the dog wouldn't turn up.
But now in the words of Bob Dylan 'The times they are a'changing'.

Fair play to them that attend but it's just not for me. Far too slow and the quality just isn't the same. My opinions of course.

I think if anything it’s getting less popular despite all the hype, media glorification etc.

Stick a bloke in goal at both ends and every match would end 0-0.

Stick a bloke in goal at both ends and every match would end 0-0. Well yeah. An average UK male was 5'9" in 2012, while an average woman was 5'1 1⁄2". When the goals are 22' wide and 8' tall, this means that the goals are almost 10% bigger for women than for men adjusted for height. If a male GK had the same size goal it would have been almost 24' x 8'8". I always said women should play on a slightly smaller pitch (90% size) and with slightly smaller goals. The football women's tough fight

I think the game changer has been the giant Premier League brands embracing the women's game.
The Women's Super League now reads like a who's who of the Premier League.
So you don't need a weather man to know which way the wind blows.

Stick a bloke in goal at both ends and every match would end 0-0. Stick a bloke in women's tennis and the bloke wins, stick a bloke in women's rugby and the bloke wins, the list goes on ...... I real feel you have missed the point here. We need to stop comparing men's to women's sports, I never heard anyone say "Paula Ratcliff would not have won that if a bloke was running" it's obvious that males generally have a physiological advantage, but in football we seem obsessed by the comparisons. Just enjoy the fact in WSL, you are watching world class athletes as we do in the Olympics, and in Stoke terms, being semi pro you would be watching a lower level but still people who are fully committed to their sports. That said, I will be honest and say I have never seen Stoke ladies, or any semi/professional female team play.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think he’s saying the games would be more watchable if the “authorities” implemented things which would make that happen. Women are smaller and less athletic generally, it’s time time cater for that. The game and other sports would be better for it. It seems to be a case of “we can be just as good as the men”. They simply can’t and that’s not sexism it’s logic. If they made these subtle changes all women’s sport would be far more watchable. Saw some highlights at half time during Coventry vs Stoke I think it was, they showed their women’s highlights and the amount of long range floaty goals was ridiculous as the keepers simply aren’t cut out size wise to stop it happening.

The pitch and goals are perfect for women, while the men are unwatchable as it's just wrestling and kinda dopey watching them jump into the goal before the 6'6" barbarians hurl the ball toward the (masochist) goalie. They should have larger pitches and bigger goals. I can see the case for amateur football, as this means another set of goals have to be purchased. On the other hand the junior boys that play 9-a-side could use the same goals, I reckon.

They really enjoyed it.

He can post on here and tell us that he doesn't enjoy womens football if he wants, just like he can log onto a thread and talk about how wank Stoke have played at the weekend, just like you and everyone else has done. I hate all this "why post on a thread if you don't like the subject" bollocks, it's just that, bollocks. For the record, women's football is wank.
