So I went to a wedding of 100 people this weekend. I'm double vaccinated and boosted and we knew the risks we were taking by going to a friend's wedding. Of that 100 people, 22 of us are now positive with plenty more expected in the coming days. Omicron is ripping through larger groups if social distancing/masks aren't properly followed. It's easy to imagine a large training squad all getting covid at the same time due to the nature of their work. Really can't imagine many games will go ahead in the next month.... Can't argue with that. Hope you get over it soon mate

You need a vaccine certificate to watch the game but not to play in the game🤔 Difference is fans attending are paying for enjoyment by choice. Players attending are going to work, if they don't go, they wont get paid.

Bursik Davies Bonham Fielding Smith Duhaney Fox Tymon Ostigard Batth Souttar Chester Wilmot Allen Thompson Clucas Sawyers TOB Powell Vrancic Doughty Ince Fletcher Campbell Brown Surridge Sima So that’s 27 first teamers. Bursik, Souttar, Thompson, Sawyers, Powell all injured. So that’s 21. I was told 5 yesterday had tested positive so that’s 16 so we’re getting close to the lower than 14. It’s not hard to imagine more may have tested positive since to take it down the number. So in short the Coventry fans have fuck all to whine about. Hope they all get better soon! Some poor maths there Bayern

Think with this omicron tidal wave hitting us this is getting very messy. Do we force players to be vaccinated ? 25 % not vaccinated is a shocking statistic .Are players in breach of contract by not having jabs .? Matches being cancelled as we speak .Playing behind doors again ? Some very interesting discussions in club boardrooms . Lots of questions but no answers . Confused .com. Weirdly, only 9% of those eligible (over 12s) for a vaccine are unvaccinated. That means that footballers are disproportionately unlikely to be vaccinated. I wonder why that would be? Do they perhaps feel invincible due to their fit and privileged lifestyles?

There is no transparency will these Covid tests,is it not strange clubs including ourselves can say they have 6 cases but don’t name them.Maybe it’s just a ploy to get injured players back. All games need to be cancelled then no one is gaining a advantage.Clubs should name the players with Covit and if they are not vaccinated stop there wages. So, if a player gets sick, but has had the vaccination, no "punishment". But if a player gets sick and had the temerity to determine they don't want to inject their body with a substance with unknown long-term effects, then "punish" them? What's the difference? Both got sick.

Anyone else heard that players have gone from being tested once a week to 3 or 4 times a week? This is the same with my job. So no wonder the numbers are going up, stands to reason if more people are testing then there will be more positives. As I said on here yesterday my wife has been testing positive for 2 days now but she feels absolutely fine, in fact, a lot better than me, and I'm still testing negative. I think Ive got a cold though.

Indeed , nobody wants postponements , least of all prime ( trips ) games ..but the infections in Stokes camp , depending on their timeline must already make the Barnsley timeline very tight ..and that’s before any possible new infections with us or Barnsley are added into the equation. TBH if Stoke’s infection alone already rule out the game at Barnsley they should announce that ASAP .. preferably today or by Monday at the latest .. to at least allow supporters to rearrange their Christmas plans , even if that means spending Boxing Day with the (out) In-laws 🥊 Day ..rather than knowing now but not announcing until Christmas Eve of course even if borderline on at present..delayed negative results or further infections with us or indeed Barnsley could still see the game called off last minute

Is there a straight re fund or are they just valid for the rearranged fixture. Problem with that is they’ll be mid week later in the season at the earliest and quite a few who have tickets won’t be able to attend.

Re coventry game / refunds ( from official site ) A new date for the game at the Coventry Building Society Arena will be announced when confirmed. Tickets already purchased will be valid for the rearranged date but should you require a refund then please email tickets@stokecityfc.com. Though depending on date as when played it might be an even more important / desirable game ..or not .. then TBH I’d expect walk up refunds / credits to be offered

If you read further into it 2 were quite bad with it and missed many games, these are young super fit athletes, not like us normal people, Saint maximin was the worst, and lets not forget Steve Cotterill a fairly fit guy who had 2 bouts in hospital These guys having a walk for half an hour and then needing to go to bed, isn't like your granny having a walk and an afternoon nap is it ?

Is this the same trustworthy Le Tissier? - common enough name, could be any one of them................ "In a Premier League meeting with Wimbledon in 1995, Le Tissier attempted to put the ball out of play inside the first minute after he and a group of friends placed bets worth £10,000 on the time of the first throw-in of the match. The plan did not succeed, with Le Tissier’s nerves getting the better of him: frightened of being found out, he did not kick the ball hard enough, meaning it stayed in play for longer than a minute."

A lot of footballers haven’t had any vaccinations so it’s easy to see why it’s spread so easy through teams squads and will continue to do so with this highly transmissible virus

In the last paragraph, it's suggested there are concerns over virility.
