If it is off us fans who are going need an official statement ASAP This. Has anything come out of the club yet? Or are we just working off what journalists are saying on Twitter? I'll be absolutely gutted if the game is postponed, but it sounds like the issues are at our end(?). It obviously hasn’t been officially called off yet. What are you guys expecting. A personal phone call 🙄

The main point is it would be fairer if all games were postponed Less travel / interaction may help reduce the transmission That's right, and that will drag it out for longer. This 'varient' is a cold, there is no evidence whatsoever that it is any more serious than that

Imagine going into the Christmas fixture list and being expected to compete with a squad of 14 players as the games come in thick and fast.
This is also going some way to showing how badly underestimated the number of Covid cases in the general population is. I've seen some data for the sector that I work in and there's been a big increase in the number of positive cases this week because people have had to start testing themselves properly. Ditto footballers.

We played QPR who subsequently had 13 players/officials out with the virus so stands to reason I suppose..... It’s rife in London right now. Coming to a town near you soon.

Confirmation from Coventry that the game has been postponed Inevitable that there will be many more. Just as we thought life was getting back to normal.

If you have 20.000 + plus fans often shouting and screaming towards the pitch with very few wearing masks it is hardly shock that cases arise from football matches is it.

From what I was hearing today some teams esp prem are using covid as an excuse for other injuries.

Football clubs again are treating the fans with contempt, none of us no how many members of staff have caught the virus are they playing staff or backroom staff.Fans have paid out on train tickets and match tickets. If you believe the medical advice, the vaccine cuts down the chances of catching it and also the severity of it.I no this will not ever happen but with a rash of games being called off would it not be interesting of what percentage of these players have been vaccinated and are the ones not vaccinated showing more server symptoms. The only Prem side to say all there players and staff are fully vaccinated are Wolves. They have no cases as of yet.

It’ll be interesting to see if football takes a January break ..especially in the Prem ,as they already have a free week at the end of Jan

You've got to have sympathy for the poor lambs. It's not as if they've got time on their hands to get a vaccination, is it?

Suspend the league simple No need to suspend the league for me and cause more problems. Is just a few games to date, complete testing going on so no need to hit the panic button. Re-arrange the games called off and get on with it.

More likely the players Christmas do. Did anyone find out where they were all going on the train the other day with overnight bags. London by any chance?

I’ve had all three as that’s my choice ….It’s their choice, they are human beings and have a personal choice in it all Be interested to know how many of those slaughtering people for not having it refused to get the flu jab prior to all this happening 20 months ago Of course nobody will admit to it
