I said the same walking past. Charlton? That's like fighting your granny. Whilst they're not Millwall or West Ham, speaking as a near resident, they have got a small cluster of absolute head the balls.

Said exactly the same before and after the game but I noticed a lot of unsavoury characters coming out of their end as we walked past Erm..... define "unsavoury characters" ?? How are recognisable ? Usually they are characters who are a bit unsavoury.

Not sure how relevant this is to fan trouble but whilst there was a lot of police present in Stoke I happened to see a couple of ambulances outside Sainsbury's with someone being given CPR , I've been looking at the sentinel website for updates but absolutely nothing. So I have no idea how bad the incident was or whether it's related to fans. Did anybody else see what happened?

Some Millwall were with them today also a load of Albanians Albanians? Hard to believe that. one of the most crooked countries in the world and their lads have time to travel to stoke (with Millwall) for a knock? they're too busy dealing the weakest cocaine ever (allegedly) to even think about coming to stoke, (with Millwall) for a Charlton away game

The most beige club and set of fans in the EFL bar Reading..... Their away following in terms of numbers was one of the better ones we’ve seen this season. Probably three times as many as Fulham or Swansea who are both at the right end of the table.

It sounds like Charlton were trying to make a point and failed miserably

Absolutely, very good numbers swelled no doubt by the fact they haven’t played at out place for 12/13 years......

It was crawling with law in Stoke beforehand including Met officers. All I saw was the most handbaggy handbags on the way to the Cricket Club afterwards.

Disgusting behaviour. I've always said football fans are seen as easy meat by some of the police.

Me or you do that we're sent jail. And the police wonder why the public give them so much abuse?

Absolutely mental behaviour by the cop, could easily have killed the boy. Totally unjustified no matter what handbags were going on before it.

I was baton trained in the Royal Navy, and a baton blow to the head or trunk is regarded as lethal force. The video doesn’t make it clear the situation he was facing, however it does look like over reaction.

The ACPO guidelines clearly state the head is a "red zone" and should not be struck. Hes absolutely blindsided him aswell. I cant see any justification for it either. By all means go hands on but that was ridiculous. The strike itself or a fall after and a bang to the head could have killed him. Im sure it will be nicely swept under the carpet as usual.

Hopefully the bully boy cunt gets sacked. Should be sacked, prosecuted and sent down. It's South Yorkshire police. He'll probably get a commendation from the Chief Constable.

If you or I hit a 16 year old kid from behind with a baton causing that level of injury that we would be looking at a starting point of 6 years. I bet he doesnt get that.

The usual suspects spilling the anti police guff as expected. The baton strike is to his arm from what I can see, common law accounts for lethal force and its use, the criminal justice and immigration act allows for "hindsight" how anyone can condemn somebody on that footage is beyond me. Issues yes condemnation no reasonable, proportionate and necessary who knows nobody was there on here so it's all bullshit. But hey crack on with the conspiracy cover up bile its embarrassing and predictable.
