Maybe they need the overtime with Easter Hols coming soon.
Plus I believe Dickinson's Real Deal has ended, so they had nowt to do.

Before the Swansea game, I overheard a copper say they had ‘intel’ for the Charlton game. Imagine that being your job, a full-time grass.

Said exactly the same before and after the game but I noticed a lot of unsavoury characters coming out of their end as we walked past

They had coppers walking along the canal with fans, which I’ve never seen before.
Pretty weird tbh.

Around 4 police officers walking over the bridge and down to the canal, they were definitely in a rush.

My lad asked me if there would be many police there. I told him there wouldn't as it was only Charlton. When we walked past the away end it was like the miners strike, that many police vans there.

Said the same was loads of police in stoke before the game, way more than usual.
There was less police for Chelsea!
God knows what Intel would have been

Might just have been me but I thought the front left block of seats in their end had a different overall look to the rest of their crowd, my eyes aren't quite what they were tho.

Very rowdy at the station afterwards with Charlton fans barracking Stoke fans, making gestures etc. Haven’t known such police presence since Leeds came to town!!! Still, the little boys must’ve gotten all tanked up thinking they were ‘ard! Had a wry smile on my face when some Stokies waved them off when their trains departed! 😂

Stoke attacked their pub before and after the game earlier in the season, and gave some of them a good hidding. Hence why the extra numbers and police. Apparently.

Old bill on platform as I got off the train today. Never seen that in last 15 years.
Big police presence all round.
Very odd.

Apparently there were a gang of 100 lads from Charlton with a right wing presence. Undercover old bill at the ground as well.

Spoke to three Charlton stone island boys before the game they told me they were in the boothen end and were going stand up and raise hell when they scored, as we wouldn’t do anything. All three of them looked like a stiff wind would fold them like a deckchair, I just told them good luck with that and laughed and walked off.
