Once you are doing that in public you are done. Whatever you think about Rowett, he is finished at stoke. How many times do you see other managers lose it like that in public with their own players? And how many survive in their job? They never do, the players will fucking hate him. Something is badly wrong as they look more disorganised than under Hughes, playing against far inferior opposition, and they look worse prepared than ever Mourinho will happily pick a row with his own players Before that alex Ferguson loved picking a row with his own players , and the bigger the name the better , David Beckham ? Jaap stam ?? They both had dazzling reputations as winners and commanded respect in the dressing room. And even then it does for Mourinho invariably in the end.

There needs to be more changes than just the manager or so it seems given the rumblings that appear to be emanating out of the club.

After what we've seen I'd now give Rowett 6 more games to turn it round with a minimum target of 11 points! ie. at least 3 wins and 2 draws (or 4 wins) from 6 games. If he hasn't sorted it out by then - 27th October Bristol City, he can't and has to go. That would give 2 weeks (albeit with matches against Boro and Forest) to bring in a new man to take control going into the International break and get things sorted for the home game with QPR on 24th Nov. There would then be 6 games including QPR for any new manager to make an impact up to Christmas. If Rowett succeeds, fine but if not and the board fails to act along these lines, then I fear us losing a number of key players in the January window, some of the current loan deals not being made permanent and our beloved club further spiralling into a relegation battle.

I'd give Rowett till mid-October and if I were the board I'd be looking at my options in the managerial market if rowett fails to improve

Moyes for me. Would get us out of this division and we would have an experienced manager to lead us into the PL.
Would he come? I think he would.

Sentinel said Moyes had let it be known he wasn't interested, certainly in May. And we're less attractive now, so hard to see him being interested?
Allardyce? Can't see it for a minute.
McCarthy? Nigel Pearson?
Not really.
So then it's down to in-work, British-based managers.
Dean Smith looks good, but hard to know how much of their success is down to their scouting department and recruitment process.
Wouldn't mind McInnes at Hearts, but wouldn't have thought there's any prospect of attracting him.
Can see them giving Rowett at least another month or two, barring something truly disastrous.

This is madness ,Rowett is our Manger, do people really think the family will sack him when he has been here for 5 min's ,for crying out loud give the guy a chance to rebuild ,some off the comments about replacement managers are just mental, so we paid shit loads to get him then we pay shit loads to sack him after a quarter of the season ,we paid shit loads last season on sacked managers we wont be doing it again ,he is here to stay ,let the guy sort it out ,he needs time not abuse .

Exactly, the managers with the sheer grip and force of character (and record of success) to do it like Fergie you can count on the fingers of one finger.

I like to see rowett given time, i like him but if cardiff get twitchy fingers and pull the trigger, I'd be tempted if results don't improve. I do feel for Rowett because he is trying to resussate the dead imo with our current defence, they're abysmal & the last 2 years have had a massive impact on them, they're stinking the place out. It needs a clean sweep, the lot of them need to be gone.

Calling for the manager's head less than 10 league games into the season. Jesus fucking Christ. Get a grip. That's the premature equivalent of jizzing in your kegs in the taxi home.

rowett should go now imho. I havnt seen anything on and off the field that he can do the job.
A no nonsense manager is needed.
Rowett is out of his depth and he is pissing me off how he keeps going on about last season.
