The rot is in those who brought us down I firmly believe that Rowett would have got rid of far far more if he could, including some involved on the pitch last night

Why does he think it will get better for Stoke and Rowett?

Good article.
Is he talking about Bauer not completing the training? It'd make sense.

Well summed up. Would've been nice for him to name and shame the player though.

Wtf? These tossers need to be named and shamed. They should spend a couple of hours in the company of my 5 year old. He cried when wigan scored their 2nd goal and his very first words when he woke up were "daddy afobe wasn't offside and the ref was rubbish" Me? I have never felt as guilty as I did last night when that 2nd goal went in.

Who's the player he's referring to? Choupo? N'Diaye? Any ideas?

Absolutely spot on , all of it. Can the family not see even now that people outside the club are identifying the problems.

Well summed up. Would've been nice for him to name and shame the player though. Not sure why he couldn't have named him. There must have been enough witnesses to back it up if the story was challenged.

Can not disagree with a word of that article.
OK saying we need to get some in, but after the farcical results and happenings who would want to come to this Toxic shower of S%#T.
My half full glass has gone to nearly empty in a pub with no beer.

Before Rowett was appointed the club knew the players in the squad who needed to leave.
I believe Rowett was given the names when he was appointed and was told that they would be moved on.
The point in this respect is not whether Rowett is a good or a bad manager, the fact is he has been let down big time by the club in failing to get rid of these players.
We were given assurances that the club were determined to sort matters out so a promotion push could be made straight away.
To do this they had to show some balls and loose money on the deals to shift the deadwood which clearly continues to contaminate team spirit, but they have continued to meander in the transfer market.
The start was ok in Afobe and Etebo but the 5 or six weeks of inaction after that is yet again a sign of them sleep walking into trouble.
Will they never learn?

The fact that ECM and Imbula have been banished to the under 23’s would suggest it was possibly one of those two who refused to complete training....

As I said on another thread - Rowett has lost at least some of the dressing room and he is guilty of bringing in & playing some malign characters that will have tested team spitit and split opinion as it has on here.......it's a clusterfuck and as much as people want to blame Scholes and Cartwright, as with Hughes you HAVE to look at the board of directors who have allowed and continue to allow it to happen.......I hope they are consdering selling up but I guess no-one will be bidding very hard in this state.....utter embarrassing shambles.

The discipline in this Stoke side is the worst I've seen, and the attitude is as well.
It's fucking disgraceful. And to have a player walk out of a training session back to the dressing room? How fucking dare they. The club is absolutely rotten to the core, and Coates is letting it fucking happen. This could have been avoided, and now we look like we'll be lucky finish mid table.
4 games in, Rowett looks completely out of his depth, the players are shit, the club is shit. It needs frigging nuking and starting again. I just don't know where we can go from here. How long do we give Rowett? How long does he get to fix the issues? Would Coates whip out the managerial dong again after paying off Hughes and Lambert, and now Rowetts wages?
Something needs to happen and fast.

It went wrong somewhere between the day Pulis left and the time Hughes/the transfer team filled the squad with players with no balls.
First couple of seasons Hughes had strong players like Bego, Ryan, n’zonzi, Whelan, Walters etc.
TP had a philosophy of football that a lot of fans didn’t like. It’s the most enjoyable spell of supporting the team for me personally. And his Boro side have started magnificently but that’s another debate.
Anyway, from there Hughes and the transfer team brought in some top quality to go with the solid pros we had. We added the likes of Bojan, Arnie, Shaq, who though inconsistent had some glorious performances and we had a mini golden era where it seemed we had cracked it.
Then Hughes let go the likes of Whelan, Walters, Huth (who went on to win a title which shows what he had left to offer) and through no fault of his own we had to sell Bego and n’zonzi - losing all fighting spirit in the team. Then players like Arnie were sold for relatively big money and replaced with choupo fucking moting on a free. And prior to that N’zonzi was replaced by Imbula who hasn’t even learnt to speak English.
