Why specifically have Ndiaye, Choupo-Moting and Cameron been frozen out of the first team squad? Whilst I understand the need to move players on, they are employed by us and should be in contention in the current climate. I'd guess it's because all three of them have made it abundantly clear that they think playing in the Championship is below them and whilst they realise that they are contracted to play for the club, they are only prepared to do the absolute bare minimum if they are called upon to do so. And Rowett refuses to work with players who possess that sort of attitude. Link me to where Cameron and Choupo-Moting have said that please mate? Ta (Obviously Ndiaye has now been exposed as the early finisher in training which explains that one)

From top to bottom the club has become lazy, incompetent and riddled with complacency. It may be too big a job for Rowett, or anyone for that matter, to sort out without a whole new management structure (without Scholes and Cartwright) and maybe even new owners. Many thought keeping a lot of last season's squad was a good thing, but it is now patently obvious that it was not - there should have been a far more thorough clear out of those associated with the culture of failure permeating through the club these past couple of years.
The Hull game takes on huge importance now. Not just the points, although our first win of the season would be most welcome, but the team selection and the tenor of the performance, the response from Rowett and the players.

Oh for heaven's sake! Were you watching the Stoke players during Pulis's last season and a half? The body language at times was a disgrace and there were all sorts going on behind the scenes. You don't remember the pig's head incident or a player putting a team mate's car window through? There were experienced players in that dressing room who were well pissed off when Pulis didn't take them to Valencia. I don't dispute that at the height of his powers we had some great characters in TP's dressing room, but let's not re-write history eh? Yes I did watch his last season and half. And agree they were poor performances but if you are only going to think about the worst 12 months of his time here then you’re the one rewriting history. I watched every season he was here and it’s pretty much a golden period in our history. Look at what he’s achieving at Boro now. The defenders we have got currently would be keeping clean sheets if we had a manager of his calibre now. Not really sure how the pigs head incident with players nothing to do with the current squad has resulted in it going wrong. Well you said all this started the day that TP left, which isn't really true is it? Take a look at the pictures at the end of the 2014/15 season, there was a great harmony in the team at the time and that was after we'd brought in the likes of Bojan, Odemwingie, Arnie, Muniesa, Moses, Diouf and even Wollscheid! Even going forward all was reasonably well going into the following season and we hammered both Manchester clubs before things started going wrong around new year 2016.

All the questions that need to be asked are already being asked on this board. This is the fans forum, this is where they speak their minds. No holes barred. If the Sentinel stopped playing 500,000 adverts with the volume level set to maximum then people might be able to use their medium for debate but just like our club it has gone down hill so badly with poor management. First questions Why are there undroppable players at our club. Why is the worst defence in the league from last season still in the starting 11 with ZERO backup. Why are we surprised that bad players from last season are bad again this. Why do you keep building up the hopes of the fans with public statement that prove to be false hype and only make things worse. Why is the manager not solely in charge of signing new players so he can stand or fall on his own merit. Why do you insist on bringing and keeping old players and how do you think that will bare fruit in the future. How much are you paying Sky sports to say Joe Allen is a great player When will your concern to anger like mine has at the club being ridiculed in the press and on tv and more importantly, WHAT are YOU going to do about it.

I'd suggest Cameron (agent - Gary Mellor) and Choupo are far too well advised and smart to come out in public and say such a thing, but Rowett sees them daily in training and has formed a view that he is happy for them to leave, despite both playing in positions where we need reinforcements right now.

I’d like to hear it from the horses mouth, if that’s the case tell us, and keep fining them when they step out of line. Whatever we think of Cameron as a player he’s always been a decent professional I would find that hard to believe....

Nobody's going to come out and say it public Jez but their attitude can translate pretty easily. Nobody's telling me that a motivated Choupo Moting isn't a better option than McClean on the left wing.

That's what I am saying - Rowett can tell from how they train every day, so we have to trust his views. Choupo is 100 times better than McClean, when he wants to be. He is Mr Instagram, showing off pics of his clothes, his kids, where he is visiting, not a care in the world - speaks volumes. Cameron is a harder one to fathom, as he always struck me as a good bloke.

It's fairly common for relegated clubs to suffer hangovers from the previous season, they also require a period of readjustment not only to the new league but to the influx of new players.
In my opnion there is massive exaggeration on this Board about the present difficulties the club are experiencing, given time I think the manager will turn results round and we will be in a much stronger position as the season unfolds.

Clubs in the 1st. & 2nd. Are most likely run better than we are.
IF we keep on the way we are, they will prove they are better on the pitch too next season.

Saying he “wanted something better” That’s as close to the horse’s mouth as you’ll get to be fair There’s Bob Hope of him pulling his finger out for us in the championship. Rowett must know this

Before Rowett was appointed the club knew the players in the squad who needed to leave. I believe Rowett was given the names when he was appointed and was told that they would be moved on. The point in this respect is not whether Rowett is a good or a bad manager, the fact is he has been let down big time by the club in failing to get rid of these players. We were given assurances that the club were determined to sort matters out so a promotion push could be made straight away. To do this they had to show some balls and loose money on the deals to shift the deadwood which clearly continues to contaminate team spirit, but they have continued to meander in the transfer market. The start was ok in Afobe and Etebo but the 5 or six weeks of inaction after that is yet again a sign of them sleep walking into trouble. Will they never learn? How do you get rid of players that you don't want if no one else wants them either? They have contracts so we can't simply get rid of them. Also there has been rumours of Ndiaye going out on loan which no one is happy with yet that appears to be the only offer for him. I would love to see several of Mark Hughes failed signings leave but sadly it isn't always that simple. Look at Sunderland and Villa both still have several recruitment failures hanging around. They have at least now dispensed with the failed recruiters ours are still recruiting

The fact that ECM and Imbula have been banished to the under 23’s would suggest it was possibly one of those two who refused to complete training.... I'd like to know what Gary Rowett (or whoever is responsible for banishing them) thinks the Under 23's are going to gain from having those wasters training with them? Surely a more appropriate punishment would be to send those wasters to train with Scholes and Cartwright. Keep all the wasters in one place.

I've mentioned this a few times but these "players who don't want to play for Stoke" are surely in breach of contract? There's got to be something we can do that hurts these cunts financially? We pay Christ knows what a year following the club to get shit performances whilst these players are still allowed to take home their full wage despite doing fuck all ON PURPOSE.
If I saw any of these twats in the street I'd have to be dragged away kicking and screaming having given them a piece of my mind.
Fucking set of bellends.

Out of interest geoff (and a genuine question), have you watched our first 4 matches?
If so, you'd realise this "over exaggeration" isn't as much due to the results as the performances. And the problems with the performances aren't down to bedding in and working out best systems for new recruits etc. they're to do with the basics that you learn as a schoolboy e.g. passing to your own team mates, not playing the ball straight our for a throw when you have a team mate 5 yards away in space, knowing how to keep any kind of shape in defence, picking up runners etc. etc. etc. etc. (i.e. pretty much the same issues that sent us down which had absolutely NOTHING to do with any period of adjustment).
Another genuine question...if it's just "over exaggeration" on the fans part, why has Rowett himself come out and said he completely understands the supporters leaving early, the supporters booing the players on the pitch, said that the performances have been "wholly unacceptable" (his words) and why are our own players now having tunnel bust ups and arguing on the pitch?
