I have to get this off my chest. just being in this league is grim. last night's match was unwatchable. we have some horrible trip to Leeds a horrible place to visit followed by the mighty bees who will probably give us a lesson next Saturday.
I hate everything about this league, it's utterly depressing and is @@@@ing me off. It's full of tin pot clubs with tin pot fans all who will be looking to get one over on us.
and the CEO remains.....

Well let’s just hope we only have the one season in this league!
Let’s not forget that despite the premiership being a better league, it does have its fair share of bias to the big teams and plenty of knobber players like Wellshyte I won’t miss one bit

What an arrogant attitude, some of our supporters seem to have become the very thing we used to despise.

I'm actually looking forward to it. Something different from the scramble to 11th.
Lots of bigger clubs than us in this league

It's full of tin pot clubs with tin pot fans What a horrible, arrogant attitude, how about real clubs with real fans. I'm sure it would have been easy for, lets say Brentford fans to support Arsenal, Tottenham or Chelsea instead & bask in the glory, but they chose to support their local 'tin pot' team instead. Fair play to them.

I wish this league had a few more 'tin pot' clubs, apart from the Big 6 in the Prem it reads far more like the great and the good of English football than the rest of the Prem does. The fixture list does not make for comfortable reading in any way shape or form.

You might remember from 2002 to 2008 we were one of those clubs that relegated clubs from the prem considered 'tin pot'. Don't be so arrogant. We're in Division 1 because we deserve to be, by not being good enough in the Prem.

When it comes to passion, excitement and fanbases....i’d choose the Championship all day long.
Other than bragging rights the Premiership has nothing over the Championship in my opinion.
I’m looking forward to this season more than I did any season in the premier league (bar the first one of course)

Better being the BIG fish in the little pond more games to enjoy ( that means winning) ahead on and off the pitch the last couple of years in the prem were awful.. And I would like to know all the fans you have jumped on the premiership train. In The last 10 years will be there through thick and thin next year..

Got to take the rough with the smooth. However I don’t see being favourite to win England’s second tier of football and fantastic footballing away days as rough. Last season was rough and playing the likes of Watford time wasting all game grinding out a draw wasn’t exactly smooth.

Not sure why there's all this uproar?
It is crap, it is of lower quality and that is not only demonstratable fact, it is literally the point of having a tiered league.
There are tinpot clubs in this division. That's not to say there aren't in the Premier League either, but Reading, Wigan, Hull, Norwich? Fuck that for a laugh.
I'm sure when the reality of half-empty stadiums and fuck all media coverage kicks in people will reverse this "Oh it's so jolly exciting" mentality. It's not exciting, everyone's the same level of wank.
Yes, there are plenty of proper clubs here too (Derby, Forest, Wednesday, Preston, Leeds) who may arguably be bigger than us but they don't exactly set the pulse racing.
People seem to forget that the point of football is to be the best you can be. The actual literal objective of the Championship is to get promoted out of it. If it's so good in the second tier, why bother trying to win promotion? Why not just aim for survival? In which case what's the point of it all?

You want to be as good as you can be and as high as you can be, but football generally is still brilliant and life doesn’t end the second you stop being in the top division. That’s some proper prawn sandwich nonsense.

Whereas the last two seasons were a joy to behold in the premier league!
...and every single game was a classic blessed with Brazil '70 skills and flair, each player displaying a Corinthian attitude towards the game, his team mates, opponents, fans and referee alike
......and then I woke up, smelt the coffee and exiled this to dream status and pure fantasy 🤦😬😉😁

Clubs with a sense of entitlement wont go up.
Underestimate this league and you wont go up.
The Championship is one of the most competitive leagues in the world.
Bottom placed Sunderland drew 0-0 with top placed Wolves despite having 10 men, then beat them 3-0 at there place.
That wouldn't happen to Manchester City in the Prem.
I enjoy the Championship.
Much better then battling it out for midtable in the Prem every year.

After the obvious disappointment, it sounds like many Stoke fans are demonstrating humility I expected the attitude of this poster to be more prevalent, tbh, but whatever the opinions on this board about wingers, Beharinho, Rowett etc - there has been a collective good grace about the bigger picture in the main. Which is great. Not least because life's too short. And because, once you've got your head round relegation, the experience of the coming year has many interesting facets to it that another slog in the mid/lower reaches of the PL would not.
