Wonder if everyone will still be so thrilled about it if we’re here in 23 years. If you’ve forgotten it’s a shit league to be in. No money, no hope, ignored by the world. I hope to god we’re out by next May or the quicksand really kicks in. For me we are more likely to be where Sunderland are now. Based on what?

A season of 46 games where you genuinely think you have a chance of getting something out of every game rather than scrambling to 40 points from about 26 games - bring it on

I am sure all Stoke fans want to be back in the PL.
However there is no reason why we should not enjoy this coming season and hopefully be entertained and excited instead of the rubbish, frustration and dissapointment of underachievement that we were subjected to, but also remained loyal to.
The OP was strange, to put It politely, before we have even kicked a ball.
If all goes well people will talk about the 2018/19 season for years to come..
Climb on board and enjoy the ride.

Why would anyone want to have their dinner at Macky D's when they have become accustomed to dining at The Ritz?
Enjoy your prawns Idiot

I hope to god we’re out by next May or the quicksand really kicks in. I thought we didn’t care what anyone thought of us, so who gives a fuck about being ‘ignored by the world’ (which isn’t even true anyway - the tabloids and MOTD aren’t ‘the world’). That’s the point. After 2 or 3 years out of the top flight no-one thinks about you or cares. You become irrelevant. Places like Bristol, Leeds or Birmingham have other things going for them so it’s less important. My love for my club is inextricably linked to my love for my home city, even though I know it’s a shithole. Premier league football is a huge part of making Stoke a better place. And I want that. I admire the optimism of those that think of this as a great adventure and if it’s one year it could be a positive. If it’s more than that it could be a disaster. Time will tell.

We will tear this division a new asshole and have it won by February at the latest. Adobe, bojan and cheap motel will have at least 70 goals between them before I take down my Xmas decorations.

Yes it's a shite league but it's where we belong and it's entirely of our own making. Me thoroughly deserve to be rotting down here.
Some decent well run clubs down here who will tear US a new arsehole and teach us what Championship life is actually like these days. It's changed a lot while we've been away.

Unfortunately I think we'll get thrashed just as often as we did last season. Same shit, different division.

We’re going to Elland Road tomorrow ffs. If that’s tin pot I’ve got no idea what Stoke is.

Tin pot? We’re going to Elland Road tomorrow ffs. If that’s tin pot I’ve got no idea what Stoke is. Leeds are an utter shambles of a club. Their history tells you that any silverware that they may possess was acquired by cheating, cunting tactics. The fact that they still play football at all is an indictment on the FA.

What a strange post??? Just looking forward to re-visiting some old rivals against the like of Leeds, Sheffield Utd/Wednesday, Forest, Derby, Brummies, PNE, Bristol City and more. Or would you rather it was Brighton, Watford, Bournemouth, Southampton, Huddersfield et al?

They were cunts back then, and are cunts now.

Not sure why there's all this uproar? It is crap, it is of lower quality and that is not only demonstratable fact, it is literally the point of having a tiered league. There are tinpot clubs in this division. That's not to say there aren't in the Premier League either, but Reading, Wigan, Hull, Norwich? Fuck that for a laugh. I'm sure when the reality of half-empty stadiums and fuck all media coverage kicks in people will reverse this "Oh it's so jolly exciting" mentality. It's not exciting, everyone's the same level of wank. Yes, there are plenty of proper clubs here too (Derby, Forest, Wednesday, Preston, Leeds) who may arguably be bigger than us but they don't exactly set the pulse racing. People seem to forget that the point of football is to be the best you can be. The actual literal objective of the Championship is to get promoted out of it. If it's so good in the second tier, why bother trying to win promotion? Why not just aim for survival? In which case what's the point of it all? Preston? Behave.

There are plenty of big clubs in this league, stoke are just one of many.
My excitement is about this being a new season, but the coverage is shocking, that is the main problem.

I'm actually looking forward to it. Something different from the scramble to 11th. Lots of bigger clubs than us in this league Nice when we can set up to try and win 46 games, rather than look to win 10-12, then try not to lose the rest.

Let's face it - no one outside of the supporters of,football league clubs gives a fuck We are anonymous again Who is it that we want to ‘give a fuck’. I thought the point of us was that we didn’t? Oh boo hoo the fuckwits on Sunday Supplement don’t afford us the 30 seconds they used to. Oh woe is me, rather than being last on Match of the Day we don’t get that token, grudging five minutes and we’re on Quest instead. So fucking what?

Let's face it - no one outside of the supporters of,football league clubs gives a fuck We are anonymous again Why does that matter to you? I couldn’t give a fuck if we’re anonymous, I prefer it that way. I have never cared what other teams think or if they think at all for that matter. Only what Stoke fans think of the club should matter.
